I picked up the lipstick in Japanese Maple this week, and I'm pretty impressed. I'm NW15 so beige lipsticks usually don't work well on me, but this one's an exception. Wearing it by itself isn't too impressive - it's almost the exact same color as my natural lips, it just adds some gold shimmer. But I tried it over a light pink/beige liner and with a rose gloss (made with MAC's Rose pigment) over it, and I love it. It's subdued, but still there, and doesn't make me look dead. The cremesheen + pearl collection is not an in-your-face, "I'M WEARING LIPSTICK!" kind of lipstick in any of the colors they currently offer. They're all very business-appropriate, which I like from MAC. I recommend checking out the texture in a store, though, because it's definitely not something everyone will like.
MAC missed the mark on this collection. The PEARL + is very minimal. I bought the lipstick in PINK PEARL POP, the lipglass in FLOATING LOTUS. As for the lipstick, formula is cremesheen but goes on like a luster. I tried them both on before I bought them, looked great in the store, once I got down the road, had to be reapplied. I would describe pink pearl pop as a sheer hot pink luster and floating lotus as a sheer soft baby pink w/subtle gold sparkle. If you are like me and like a BOLD lip, don't waste your money. This collection is for office/church wear or if you like sheer formulas. Has to be reapplied constantly. Will not buy another one.

I am NW20 with almost black hair, brown eyes, rosey lips. I tried all of them, but walked out with Peach Blossom a soft pinky peach...skewing more nude than MLBB. If a Cremesheen hooked up with a Lustre...this is the finish their baby would have. It goes on feeling as nice as the Cremesheens, but looks like you put a touch of gloss on over it. These are not frosty like the other MAC Frosts...this are more pearly than frosty. I honestly wasn't in love with any color in the collection, but I thought the finish was beautiful so I had to walk out with Peach Blossom one of my faves of the neutrals.
