I bought this because It is silicone free and liked the conditioning balm so I had high hopes for this. It did nothing for my hair, left it hard to comb through and no hydration at all. I did like the fragrance though...
This masque is specifically meant for very dry damaged hair which would be me. My hair got damaged after a bad color job and my ends are dry, the lady at ulta said i need to work a hydrating mask with my protein treatments, which my new hairdresser agreed with. i decided to get this one, but its terrible. it leaves my head looking like a brillow pad. I would give no stars if I could. why would it leave my hair looking even worse?, it makes no sense. I'm switching to redken all soft cream, which has awesome reviews.
I bought this masque think it was the Ultra Conditioning Masque. Woops.
I have chemically treated and ok-ish hair. It gets dry, tangles easily and usually needs a lot of extra help to stay looking good. The previous products I had been using to great effect no longer worked with the change of water when I shifted so I purchased this one.
It smells. Strong. I'm not that keen on the smell, but it does smell clean and pleasant.
The actual conditioning properties of the masque aren't that great. If I use it by itself after shampooing it seems it did nothing a plain conditioner couldn't have done.
I usually use this now before shampooing. I mix in about 1/2c of avocado oil, splash of neem oil and perhaps an egg yolk. Paint it on with a dye brush, shower cap it and leave for about an hour. Shampoo and condition in the shower. It seems to work quite well this way, but for around $40AUD you'd think I wouldn't need to.
This masque is silicone and paraben free.
I wouldn't bother repurchasing as there's better products out there. I just have 500mls to use up!
First of all, I really like the smell of Biolage products. Heaven in a bottle! That said, this is a good hair conditioner that rinses clean and does not leave a film on my fine, dry hair. Contains sunflower oil and glycerin. Would not repurchase because there are lots of lower priced deep hair conditioners that work as well, if not better than this one. L'oreal Eversleek smoothing deep conditioner ( 5.1oz tub) has near identical ingredients to this one.
I bought this years ago, it was just 'okay' nothing that great, I think someone could easily get a similar if not better product at the drug store. This was my first deep treatment, so since I have tried way better products than this. My current HG is Paul Mitchell awaphui ginger nothing has yet beaten it.
Amazing product! I have been searching for something to make my hair soft to the touch and this is it!
This didn't do much that a good quality conditioner wouldn't do for less money. It smooth out the hair and reduce knots but overall it wasn't amazing.
