This is my HG cleanser because of the texture (not foamy, not runny, just perfect), it removes my makeup, doesn't break me out, and soothes my sometimes red skin! I've started alternating with the orange glycolic cleanser (although that is a tad drying) and that one definitely brightens. The chamomile cleanser is the perfect day-to-day cleanser, especially when combined with a Clarisonic.

i tried all the cheep every day cleansers against acne and it made my skin horribly dry, rough and did not get rid of blakheads, witeheads and such. So FINALY i whent to a dermacologist and she recomended this PTR line of products. I bought this face wash and have been using it for about 1,5 months now. So far its the best face wash i tried :) it havent goten rid of my acne but it made my skin smooth and soft and opened up my pores so all the dirt can get out a lot more easy. The redness has gone and im starting to get a nice complection back :) tho i recomend using a nice peeling or toner product to go in to the pores and cleane them out a bit more sense this wash takes away all the diert of the day, but dont take care of the blackheads and more deeply cloged pores you allready may have. its expensive but will last a long while. The smell and feel of the thing is not the most importent thing but i think its ok, no more no less. Before i tried this i could hardly empty my pores of dirt even when steeming my face first. But when using this wash its almost as if the dirt is being pushed out on its own.

Love, love, LOVE this cleanser. I am a die hard PTR fan, but when I bought this i just thought it was going to be a supplement between my PTR glycolic 3% cleanser and buffing beads. Well it has turned out to be my #1 cleanser. Keeps my skin smooth, soft, super clean and most importantly not irritated. I honestly sometimes want to use it as a body wash. At any rate a little goes a long way so it will last you a super long time....def worth the price!

This is a nice cleanser, but it does have a strong scent to it. I like that it takes off my makeup and did not irritate my sensitive skin. I will update if this causes breakouts or if it dries up my skin. Don't like that it's a bit expensive, but you do get a big bottle 8.5 fl. oz. and use a little bit each time since it lathers quite a bit. UPDATE: experienced breakouts. These are the actual ingredients from the bottle that I bought at an Ulta store:
Purified Water, Disodium Lauroamphodiacetate, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Lauramide DEA, Glycol Stearate, Stearamide AMP, Oleic Acid, Coconut Acid, Natural Chamomile Flower Extract, Oat Kernel Extract, Symphytum Officinale Extract, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben, Sodium Hydroxide, Propylparaben, Fragrance continued >>

I used this for a few months after Ulta and Sephora stopped carrying my staple, PTR's Foaming Fash Wash. It was supposed to have been an easy, successful transition. It gave me acne-like rashes. I kept my hopes up and continued to use it. Result: more acne-like rashes. I believe that I must be allergic to some of the ingredients.

I have the full size(lasts foreverrrrrrr) of this and find it neutral and pleasant to use... it has a fragrance a little like a pretty soap smell ( not soap of course) but it didn't cause any problems. It's effective as a foaming cleanser... I also have the orange Antiaging one with glycolic in it and that can be a bit drying round the mouth/chin for me if used every day whereas the Chamomile cleanser is a more gentle alternative.
One thing I thought was "odd" was the use of "foaming" as descriptive terminology in the names of almost all their other cleansers....yet this one is called "Chamomile Cleansing LOTION" which to me is more indicative of a milky cleanser. It is not, its a white lathering/foaming detergent based cleanser.
Probably best for normal/combo/oily rather than very dry or very senstive skins.. being both fragranced and foaming.... still it does a good job on my combo skin and I would get it again.

I have oily/combination skin and breakout at the drop of a hat. No other cleanser has worked for me I have tried tons of them. Some have said it dries their skin out, this product is probably more suited to medium-combination or oily skin. I do not think the smell is strong at all, in fact I thought it was pretty light smelling. I do have to use makeup remover before using this , othewise I would waste alot of product. But, I use it in the morning and at night and sometimes during the middle of the day, this thing lasts forever. No joke, usually a year. So, although the price is insane ($35 for 8 oz.) , think about how much you would spend on the cheap drugstore products in a year, the price is comparable. Plus I get it on ebay for around $23-$30 including shipping.

Soothing Chamomile my butt! I could have dunked my head in alcohol and saved the thirty bucks, if it hadn't spilt all over my luggage due to crappy design, I would have taken it back and told MR. Roth where he could cleanse!

I use cold cream for removing my makeup and like to wash with a water activated cleanser afterwards. This is perfect! Leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped. Does not irritate my somewhat sensitive skin. Has a mild scent, but it's not terrible and does not sting. I'm taking a lippie off as the price is insane. Even with the insanity, I will repurchase. A little goes a long way and the 8 oz bottle lasts me for awhile as I use it only at night.

I received a sample of this product. I have normal to dry skin except on my forehead. After using this sample (5 uses), each and every time I couldn't get to my moisturizer fast enough. It seemed to strip my face. I thought it had a very strong smell that I didn't especially like. This may work for someone with oily skin. This just didn't work for me.

I just bought the full size of this product. I really like it because it makes my sensitive skin soft and it didn't dry it out. I like this a lot better than Murad's products because they all dry me out. I like this...I think that it is worth it.

This is only a so-so cleanser...didn't notice any bothersome smell, didn't irritate my skin but it sure burned my eyes--geez! Wasn't a must-have for me and I will not re-purchase.

I was pleasantly surprised with this product from PTR. This is the first full-sized product I purchased from this line, and it works well on my normal to dry, breakout-prone skin. I use this in conjunction with my CP Serum and my skin has been balanced and breakout free. The smell doesn't bother me, but if the product does get in your eyes, it stings just like other cleansers. I also agree with the other reviewers that this cleanser would be best for light makeup removal. I find I have to use a makeup remover first if I used a lot of eyeshadow or liner. The price is high but the bottle lasts forever. You only need a little of the lotion to get a nice light foamy action going. Overall, a very good product from PTR that I will probably re-purchase in the future.

I purchased a spa sized pump bottle of this cleanser on Ebay, so I got my money's worth. It foams a bit and feels like a cleasing lotion at the same time. However, it does sting the eyes and does smell a little odd. It's good enough for days I don't wear makeup or in the morning.

I have very dry skin so I need a cleanser that gets my face clean without drying it out. This is a great cleanser. The smell could use some improvement though.

I thought this cleanser wouldn't be strong enough since I have oily skin and like the squeaky clean feeling but was pleasantly surprised that it did a good job of leaving my skin feeling clean and without residue. However, it stung my eyes like mad, and they kept stinging for hours afterwards! I also didn't really like the smell; it was very "hotel soap"/liquid soap-y.

This cleanser stung my eyes, although it felt nice on the skin. I would not repurchase it for that reason.

This is my favourite cleanser of all time. I thought it would never be strong enough to keep my freaky-out skin in control. Instead, my skin is soft and clear (though I do have to using a few treatment products once in a while to control some blemishes.) Non-drying, gets the gunk out, and a bottle lasts forever, so it's not so bad spending the money. You can find PTR skin care at sephora.com and luxbeauty.com
