Really surprised at how well this applies! Easiest application smooth, even - goes on better than the Deborah lippman i have! Pigmentation is excellent, colors are really nice - I have cerulean rock -- plan to get many more - so pretty. I'm happy!
I am so impressed by the smooth application and pigmentation of this product. Wow. I have never ever been satisfied with one coat of nail color before, but Mineral Fusion Sapphire Dream delivered opaque results with one coat. I used a different brand of top coat because that's what I have but I'll be purchasing Mineral Fusion top coat when I can to see if the quality is just as good as the polish.
I purchased the polish in my local Whole Foods Market. I also purchased Coal Mine which is a black shimmer polish so I'll update my review when I try it out.
The smell is not offensive.
Update: So I have been wearing Sapphire Dream for four days. One of my nails chipped yesterday, and I think it's because I only applied one coat so I touched up, and cleaned the house, washed the bathroom, baked a cake, cooked dinner and all sorts of things and my nails still look great. Oh by the way, there were absolutely no streaks or bubbles. The brush is large like O.P.I's brush. I don't mind.
Second update: I bought the Mineral Fusion top coat which dries super fast. I cannot believe how soon after applying I am able to get back to doing things with my hands. If it stays thin until the bottle is done, I will keep purchasing.
The downside though is that the polishes are prone to chipping on my nails even when I use two coats and do every thing right. Some times it just peels right off after three days. I usually get chips at the tip the very next day after my manicure. They last weeks on my toes though, so I'll use them there. I'm so disappointed because I was very excited at first.
Nice natural polish. Bought at Whole Foods for $8, in Nickel & Dime, a lovely pewter. I am a swimmer, and this has survived about 3 pool miles without degrading, even though I don't use base/top coats.
I bought these on sale at Whole Foods. This is a natural cosmetics line which I'm really beginning to like - the colors are really modern - many of the natural companies emphasize pinkish purple colors. Mineral Fusion nail lacquer struck me first with gorgeous peacock teal, true lipstick red, a vamp type color and amethyst purple (w/ glitter). However, I was looking for a nude - I have been on the hunt for a high functioning nude forever - my requirements: must not show cracking, somewhat sheer, color to work well with my GGG skin, and hopefully, natural.
I selected two - Sandstone and Precious Pink; the Sandstone is camel tone and the Sandstone is a ballet pink type that usually looks awful on me but since they are 2/$10, I took a chance. I am in disbelief that this 'natural' polish actually outperforms my OPI and Essie in this regard. Maybe it's just that it goes on pretty sheer to begin with, but with base, two coats and a topcoat and I have barely had a chip or even that telltale cracking that I detest with the nudes in 5 days! Super flexible polish! The tips of my nails are ever slightly 'worn chipped' but it doesn't show as it looks gradual, so I'm able to wear these much longer. I usually have to take nail polish off immediately as chips bother me.
Now I can't wait to test out the more jewel tones...
