This does a pretty good job of moisturizing and has a nice scent. I think Carmex works a bit better in terms of duration.

Used nearly a whole tube and my lips are still dry and flaky. It helps in the short term, but there are no long-term results at all.

This product is listed twice. I gave a rather long review already so will make this brief. This is a very creamy balm, very soft. No need to rub on to get a good coat that lasts. Feels plush and cushy. Leaves lips soft and I have very drk skin/lips. The Aloe Vera balm by this brand is even creamier, feels luxe, I prefer it a bit.

This is the lip treatment I have been using for years. My family and friends are addicted as well.. It is so moisturizing and gentle. My lips have never been softer, I have tried so many brands and none have helped.. Cocacare did.
I put it on at bedtime every night, there is almost no odor or taste to this at all. Note: This does not contain sunscreen.
I wake up with soft lips and they stay that way. My chapped lips are a thing of the past! I used to buy these at Walgreens for one dollar but they have stopped carrying it in store (online yes) You can also buy it direct from the company and from Amazon. If you lips are red, chapped, flaky give it a try it's a miracle in a little yellow tube!

I kind of like the smell. It doesn't seem that strong to me and it sort of blends okay with whatever perfume I happen to be wearing, without sticking out or clashing. And it's just thick enough to feel satisfyingly protective without being waxy.
I dislike the graininess. This is something that happens with the cocoa butter content, I think, when it changes temperatures abruptly. Cocoa butter will remain smooth instead of crystallizing when it's completely melted over gentle heat and then cooled *quickly*. So when my tubes of Cococare balm go grainy I scoop them into a little empty balm tub and melt them in a bowl of hot water in the microwave, then pop them in the freezer to cool. That makes them as smooth and silky as you could ever want, but having to do it is kind of a pain in the ass so I took away a lippie for it.

I really like this balm! I randomly bought it at Walgreens when I lost my usual Burt's Bees because I'd heard that cocoa butter is good for moisture. It's kind of thick and creamy-feeling, and it does a better job than Burt's Bees or regular Chapstick. While I was on accutane, I used this during the day and layered it under Aquaphor at night. I never once had a problem with cracked or dry lips (which is an accomplishment with that drug!). My roommate borrowed it from me once, and she went right out to Walgreens and bought one for herself. And once, my boyfriend made fun of me for using "girly chocolate chapstick." After he tried it though, even he admitted it was pretty good!

After seeing this at walgreens time after time, i decided to buy it because i wanted to buy something. This fit the bill because it was only a buck and some change. The smell is a little chocolate-y, but imo it isn't overpowering or strong.(and i am usually one to prefer unscented and hate most smells :p )

This glides right on my lips and has a thin/slippery texture once its on. It actually keeps my lips moist for a very long time. Iīve used a ton of lip balms, and this is my new favorite- All my flakes are gone (they weren't going away even with gentle exfoliation),& this got rid of dry, cracking, yuck lips after just a day or so.

i have the one that doesn't have the sunscreen and havenīt seen the one with the sunscreen in it ever in the store.

I'm not a fan. The texture is extremely thick and waxy to me and doesn't sink in. No matter how little I put on my lips, it left a nasty white residue, especially after rubbing my lips together. When used at night, I woke up with very flaky lips. The product is also misleading in that most of it is petrolatum (first ingredient) though it's called Cocoa Butter Lip Balm. Cocoa Butter is the fourth ingredient. Do not recommend if you have severely dry lips. You can find these at Walgreens.

i love this stuff. i use it daily. my lips used to always get chapped. so much so that sometimes they would bleed. i bought this about 3 months ago and havent used anything else since. i dont even have to reapply it at all throughout the day. i also loves that it makes my lips look plump and shiny like im wearing lip gloss. this is a winner!!
(i also recently bought the cococare 100% cocoa butter stick to use on my face. will do a review on that in a couple of weeks).

This has ended up being the only lip balm I use, despite the rather unglamorous yellow tube. I have no idea what some of those strange scientific-sounding ingredients are, and would rather this didn't contain parabens, but the upside is that one application lasts hours and hours so you use less of it. I actually don't even use it every day, just when I have signs of dryness, because it is thick, emollient, long-lasting, and effective at healing chapping (as opposed to just sitting on top of dryness, or wearing off in 10 minutes). I haven't found another balm like it--most of them just leave my lips feeling more parched, esp. if they have menthol, camphor, or salicylic acid.

The scent is interesting: a sweet cocoa-vanilla with topnotes of baby powder. I'm used to it now and it doesn't bother me, but it was a little disappointing at first because I wanted a yummier scent. I can't argue with the efficacy and pleasantness of the actual product, though. It makes my lips look and feel healthy, glossy, and plump. And for those with serious chapping, this beats Aquaphor hands-down IMO.

I LOVE this lip balm.
I am a teacher, and I love it so much that I take it out and show it to my students (who show up with lips so chapped that they have a ring of red around their mouths!).
It moisturizes so well, first and foremost. Also, all other brands have left this strange film on my lips, so after a few hours I have a visible white film on my lips (ick). Not so with this product.
I end up with nicely moisturized lips that are naturally and pleasantly rosy colored and smooth.
Hooray!

This is my HG lip balm! I've never been a huge fan of ANYTHING cocoa butter so it did take me a day or so to get past the smell but after that, I love it! I apply multiple times a day and always put on an extra thick coat before bedtime. Bottom line, I paid less than a dollar for it and it works better than anything else I've used! (BTW, I've had a few with the grainy texture at the beginning of the tube but it goes away after a couple of uses.)

I used to love this stuff.... Then I noticed really weird reactions. It looked like I had acne on my lips! I didn't want to leave the house or anyhing. It took me forever to realize why I had to stop using this because it's mostly made of petroleum jelly. Somethin I LOVE using.
It's because there's no SPF. At all. My lips were sunburned! I've never been somewhere else. (I'm Vietnamese)
This is probably fine for majority of people. Especially at night...

This has been my HG lip balm until Chapstick put out this its new natural line lip balm. I was out of the states for two years and I had to call up my brother here in the states and send me some of these. Yes this is that good. I don't care for the smell but this stuff works! If Chapstick ever decided to discontinued these natural lip balm, I will purchase again. Oh I can only buy these at Walgreens, don't think CVS sells these. Took one lippie off because of the smell.

There is something surprising and "magical" about this lip balm that makes my lips exceptionally smooth and silky. I really don't care for the smell and texture -- its kind of grainy to put on, and I don't know how to describe the smell -- kind of a cross between honey and perfume. When I apply this, it just feels like chapstick with a bit of grain to it (although not all tubes I've purchased have a grainy texture). However, after a few minutes of it being on, something magical happens -- it's almost like this transforms into something much more smooth and moisturizing and my lips feel like they have a light lip gloss on them as they are well hydrated and moisturized. This is perfect to use as a prep to lipstick. When using before applying lipstick, many of my lipsticks apply more creamy and they stay put for a longer period of time. I especially like to put this on at night before bed as a lip treatment. I always wake up with smooth, well moisturized lips in the morning when I use this the night before. I wish they would change the smell, but I will still continue to purchase because its a wonderful product -- especially for 99 cents.
Edit: I realized after writing this that the grainy texture is something that I only notice at the beginning of the tube. After it has been used a few times, the grainy texture is gone.

I can't get past the smell. You ever notice that when you can't stand how something smells - you can get rid of the odor. I only mustered enough courage to apply this on my hand and it gave me a headache. As far as how well it moisturizes - I might use this on my feet (heels and toes) or just toss it. HTH

I have used this product for over 10 years. Every other lip gloss I tried still made my lips feel chapped and dry, but NOT this one! This one is great. No allergic reactions, no burning, and in a pinch it could be a moisturizer or ointment for chapped skin. The price is what 1st attracted me (99 cents back then), and I was pleased that this turned out to be a great lip gloss. I had been buying it from Walgreens, but they unfortunately no longer carry it, so I decided to buy it on line from AmericaRx.com

I just bought this on a whim at Walgreens because I needed a new chapstick (as I lose mine every 2 seconds). Let me explain something...my lips are AWFUL. The get dry and peel in like 10 seconds after applying most lip products so I have to be very careful what I use on them or I'll be peeling away skin all day-yuck. Anyway one swipe of this and I was in heaven. The texture is almost oily but not greasy. My lips are soft and haven't done anything yet that I have described above. Terrific!
