I have oily acne prone skin. They did remove my make up but not all of it. They left my skin feeling sticky and a bit stripped. Overall I'm wouldn't repurchase or recommend these wipes.
These are my favourite make up remover wipes for my face . I use Clinique eye makeup remover for my eyes, and these for my face! They leave your skin feeling clean, and they remove a your makeup ! They aren't best for eyemakeup but they do wonders on face makeup. You don't have to wash face after using these, they clean your face for you! Worth the price
Meh... I like the ones in the blue package more. This smells like the deep cleaning face wash they sell so I'm not sure why everyone is so alarmed. Anyway. I'll probably keep a pack of these on the boat, as they don't leave my skin feeling like it needs to be washed. But it doesn't remove eye makeup like the blue ones do. I figure since I'll have no eye makeup just sunscreen on my face at the lake these will suffice. I always wash my face after using makeup wipes though. These do a decent job of removing most of my makeup prior to cleansing so I gave them 2 lippies. I wish they removed eye makeup instead of just smearing it around my face.
The smell of these is absolutely horrible. I'm not sensitive to any kind of scents but this is really disturbing to me. I hate using these to clean all over my face because they leave my skin really oily and smelly. I prefer to only use these to get my eye makeup off and for the most part, they do a pretty good job. The packaging is just like any of the other Neutrogena makeup remover wipes, I just really hate that after the 4th or 5th time using them, the top no longer sticks which always leaves me wondering if they'll dry out and not work as well. The best thing to do is to buy the little box that some of them come in orginially. I think it's only a couple dollars more. I really am trying to stray from buying wipes like these because if you have an active break out and use these on them, it can spread the bacteria around. However, if I did buy wipes again, i'd stick to the original ones in the blue baggy. I wont repurchase these because of the smell and how oily they leave my really dry skin even after washing my face with water (even though it says it's not necessary to do so).
Out of all the makeup wipes I've tried, these are my favorite. The other neutropenia wipes I've tried (blue, pink, and purple) all leave an awful oily residue on my skin. This oil-free one doesn't leave that icky residue which is great. It is drier than the other wipes so it doesn't remove mascara well, but I only use it on my face not eyes. It removes makeup in a pinch, but if I have time I always follow up with another cleanser to make sure no makeup is left behind. For me makeup wipes shouldn't replace a cleanser, but for their purpose they are great. Main reason why I give them a 3 is because of the awful smell. If u don't mind medicinal smells then give it a try
EDIT: oh my goodness that smell. So terrible I can never use these again. I really despise makeup wipes anyways they make my face feel icky
I must admit, these are my "cheat wipes". I use them on days I am too tired to cleanse my face properly before going to bed. The wipes do a great job of removing makeup off my face, including my eye makeup. Sometimes I use two wipes just to ensure I have taken everything off. I love that this is not oily, yet is moisturizing enough to not leave my face taut and uncomfortable. I highly recommend it!
I hate these wipes. The horrible, strong smell was the first strike. And then when i got to my eye area, my eyes became very irritated. I had to hold my breath when I was using the wipe around my nose; I couldn't bear the scent. Yes, it removed my makeup very well and I'll finish the pack because I dont want to waste my money but I wont be purchasing the deep clean wipes again. I'll stick the the Sephora brand.
Does a pretty good job taking off makeup
Doesn't leave any residue behind
Doesn't remove waterproof mascara.
I really like these makeup wipes, they're probably the best that I've ever used. It's the only makeup wipe that doesn't a gross oily residue behind. It leaves my skin fresh and clean for the most part and I'm 95% happy with it. The only thing that I don't like is that sometimes I have to use more that one wipe and that it doesn't remove my waterproof mascara. Other than that, I really like these wipes.
I'm so glad I found these! I went through every other color (blue, purple, pink) before I finally picked these up and tried them, and oh my gosh. I don't know why I didn't just get them from the start! The blue worked alright, but the smell was just awful and VERY perfumey, in my opinion. The purple smelled great but were way, way too oily feeling, and the pink made me break out. These work like a charm! The smell is somewhat medicinal, so if that bothers you, you probably won't like this product at all. For me, that isn't a problem. They seem to have helped the over all appearance of my skin. I use them every single day to take my make up off after work, and I don't personally have a single complaint about them. The one thing I will say that might be a problem for some people is that they don't seem to do a great job of taking off water proof mascara. I don't wear water proof myself, but a friend of mine has used these wipes a couple of times and said that they didn't work well at all for that purpose. She also complained about the strong, medicine like smell.
So for those of you who are thinking about purchasing and have some questions regarding any cons of these wipes, I would say that the two biggest potential problems would be the smell and their inability to remove water proof mascara without swiping the cloth over your lashes several times. Other than that? This is a great product for a pretty reasonable price - about $6 for 25 wipes, in most locations.
This product is great! I have combination, red, sensitive skin and these cleared my acne, reduced oil, reduced redness, and didn't dry me out. In addition, makeup came off fairly smoothly. What more could you want?
