All the other Revlon balm stains are amazing with great color payoff. However, this one left something to be desired.
There is really no color pay-off for me. Applying this is like not having anything on my lips at all. This might work better for anyone with lighter color lips, but for those with more pigmented lips, this might not be the best choice for you.
Also, this looks terrible on chapped or dry lips, so watch out for that!
Everytime I wear this lipstain, I keep getting compliments whenever I am outside. Note that I almost never get compliments from random men but whenever I wear this lipstain, I get about four compliments in a day. I never knew one lipstick color can make that much of a difference in one's appearance.
I bought this lipstain because the color looked very nude and I wanted a color that looked natural and not too made up. When I first tried it, I thought that it was moisturizing and just glossy with too little color but when the lipstain soaked into my lips, it turned into a nice pink. The picture of the lips uploaded on this page is actually pretty accurate.
Hope this review was helpful. :)
As I have very pale skin during winter this peachy balm brings a bit of light color to my lips but looks natural. Line a bit outside natural lip line to make my lips appear larger and it sets well needing re-application throughout the day around 4-5 times. Nice light minty flavor.
i cant tell the difference when i have it on from my natural lip color !
While the color of this doesn't change on me as it seems to on others, it just looks very meh. Basic nude, hardly any peach/pink, and just not flattering. (For reference, I have dark auburn hair, green eyes, and light skin).
I've purchased several Revlon Just Bitten Kissable lip balm stains and loved them. This one isn't great though. The colour doesn't look very nice on my lips, it rubs off within about 20 minutes and I find it quite drying on my lips - definitely need to use lip balm a couple times for the rest of the day after using this stain.
It was pretty expensive, about $18 here in Australia, the packaging is great, it smells ok - pepperminty, the texture is fine, like a thick balm. The colour is pretty in the package but goes on kind of sheer/frosted/pastel, might be nice if you have naturally bright coloured lips but I don't so it just goes on very pale.
All in all I love the idea of this stain but it just doesn't work. I'd recommend it in other colours though.
DO not let the color fool you. This stain may look wonderful on the package, or on your wrist, but it changes color when applied to lips. On my lips, it turns from a light apricot/peachy shade into a vibrant orange/red color in just a few minutes. I want my money back!!!
I love the Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stains. The colors are great and look gorgeous. After 2 hours I find the color is still there but I have to apply a clear balm occasionally to restore the moisture. After about 4 hours you may want to reapply some color but it's not always necessary.
The packaging is sleek and pretty. The color of the packaging matches the color inside. Very nice to look at and functionality is good. You turn the silver part at the bottom to either retract or reveal more of the product.
The price is towards the higher end of the scale but it's actually pretty good value. If you love this and use it every day you'll still get many uses out of it.
Overall I like this. It's like a pretty lipstick combined with a balm. Feels great and looks great. One thing to note is that for me, this shade dries a different color to what it goes on. It goes on a peachy color and dries to a pink. This isn't the case with all of the shades. So I'm not sure If I'd buy this particular shade again.
I like this product. Yes, it does get a bit darker after wearing for a little while. I've noticed that as well. When first applied it is a very soft and nude peachy color. After some time it does brighten a bit, but not in a bad way. I like this product because it stays on, but yet has the texture of a lip balm. I also love the peppermint smell to this, which gives it an aromatherapy feel to it. I'd repurchase this one again no doubt.
First off, I do think this is pretty overpriced for a drugstore lip product of this quality... it was almost 8 dollars at a Walmart near me. I don't understand the lip stain + balm idea- this product doesn't really "stain" the lips... it's basically like a pigmented chapstick that leaves slight coral color behind after it wears off.
That being said, the initial color (a pretty coral on the lips as opposed to light peach in the tube) wears off incredibly fast. The more subtle coral that is left behind as a "stain" is quite pretty as well.
Overall, it's a so-so product that I will definitely use up but don't think I would purchase again.
Also, if you're one who is sensitive to product odors, this doesn't really stink but it does have a distinct smell of minty dental floss/ wax that is a little strange.
