Decent shampoo. I can't stand the smell, and it probably won't grow my hair out, but it has improved the overall health of my hair even after using it twice. I'm pretty sure if my hair does grow out it will be because of the 3 minute massaging-in of the shampoo rather than the shampoo itself. Anyway, I still like it even though it has its flaws. :) For being so cheap (Wal-mart!), being sulphate and paraben free, and not testing on animals...this product is amazing!

UPDATE: I've been using this shampoo for about a month and a half now and I've decided that I do like it, but I'm going to try another shampoo after my bottle runs out. It still works for me, but it's starting to not make my hair super soft and my hair will get greasy after about a day (I only wash every other day, sometimes leaving an extra day of not washing in between). I'm just not sure that this is my HG shampoo.

NEWEST UPDATE: I've switched back to this shampoo after using another shampoo for a few weeks and this is as close to a HG shampoo that I have gotten to. My hair is extremely soft again even just after 1 use.

First of all - there's no 'magic' shampoo, pill or treatment that makes your hair grow fast! Good nutrition, caring for your hair and, most importantly, time is needed! I spotted this product trending on Wanelo and was initially skeptical but after seeing rave reviews all over the internet I wanted to give it a try. My fine hair is coloured and straightened often so it's damaged with dry, brittle ends & I yearn for anything that'll help me achieve long lovely hair.
In the UK this is currently only sold via Urban Outfitters online for £7 a bottle - I understand it's much cheaper in the US. However NUS & voucher codes make it more affordable as £7 for shampoo is quite steep. I ordered both the Way To Grow shampoo and conditioner, both of which arrived within a few days via standard delivery.
To begin with, the packaging is pretty great - I love the bold designs on the bottles and the squeezy plastic tube is easy enough to use in the shower without too much wastage. For best results I began by washing my hair in Boots Expert Clarifying Shampoo to remove product buildup, then applied the Way To Grow shampoo - it has a faint, sweet berry smell and lathers great for a sulphate-free shampoo, meaning I only have to use a small amount. I followed it up with the matching conditioner - my hair felt dry after rinsing the shampoo out but the thick, creamy conditioner made my hair feel soft again after washing it out thoroughly. After applying a few drops of moroccan oil as usual and then blowdrying, my hair looked shinier, stronger, diva-style swishy and in better condition than usual, all without buildup like many cheaper shampoos - I loved it!
I've been using both the WTG shampoo and conditioner for the last few weeks and my hair really is looking better. Once I colour my hair I'll rotate to Redken's colour shampoo for a few more weeks then revert to this formula to maintain condition - it's a real HG formula for anyone trying to look after their hair in order to grow it out. And I've already ordered 2 more bottles. Rapunzel hair, here I come! continued >>

I'm surprised theres not many reviews on this shampoo. I saw a pin of this on pinterest and it had a lot of likes, i was excited at first that it said it was to grow hair than i said ya right theres no way this can make my hair grow. I have tried so many shampoos that now collect dust in my closet and i wasnt gonna go and spend more money on another to do the same... but than i couldnt stop thinking about it and had to go buy it and i am soooo glad i did. This smells sooo good like candy and lathers like a normal shampoo would. My hair feels so soft and clean. I dont use the conditioner that goes with the shampoo because i have so many conditioners i figured as long as its conditioner itll be fine and i was right but i pair this up with hello hydration and the 2 together work amazing! this was $5.99 at meijer and i will def repurchase this once i run out which i dont think will be for a while since you only have to use a small amount. I will also update this review in the next month since i've only used this shampoo for a week but so far have great results and no hair fall out either :)

UPDATE: i been using this shampoo for over a month and i wash my hair every other day or longer if i can i only airdry my hair and this shampoo is amazing my hair grew half an inch and i am very happy :) i still have less than half of product in the bottle so this shampoo lasts a long time if u dont use more than a quarter size which is great because it is cheap. i love the smell still and figured out a way to lather it more by tilting your head a little into the water a couple times while scrubbing your hair and that seems to make it lather a lot better. once i run out i will repurchase because of all the great things ive experienced so far with it.

I've been using this shampoo for about 2 weeks now and so far I'm really liking the results. Even though the length of my hair hasn't really changed, the overall condition of my hair has greatly improved. My thick, color treated hair is no longer a poufy ball of frizz and my split ends seemed to have mended themselves. The smell is absolutely fabulous; very sweet and slightly fruity! I think the part of this shampoo I like the best is that it's a cross between a no-poo and lathering shampoo. The lather is low so I don't feel like I'm stripping my hair but I feel that with the amount of suds I get my hair is clean. I paid $5.99 for a bottle and would absolutely purchase again!

I've been using this product for 1 week. I'm impressed. I have long fine hair and my scalp can get oily. I also am sensitive to products. I have color treated hair and using styling tools everyday. Many shampoos either leave my hair weighed down and greasy or it feels like straw. Not Your Mother's shampoo made my hair feel light. Not like it had volume, but is wasn't weighed down. It didn't dry my hair out or moisturize it too much. My hair wasn't oily by the end of the day. It didn't break my sensitive scalp out. It doesn't lather well (I knew it wouldn't being sulfate free) but that doesn't bother me. I would recommend it to people. It's only $6.

This shampoo comes in an 8oz tube, and claims to be good for all hair types. I was drawn to this shampoo because my hair is fine, dry at the ends, I am in the process of growing my hair longer and it is sulfate-free. Based on reviews I read on Ulta.com, this seemed like a pretty good shampoo, even though I hadn't heard much on this brand before.
PROs: Smells nice, sort of strawberries and cream-ish, sulfate-free, doesn't break me out or make my scalp itch, fairly inexpensive ($5.99).
CONs: Conditioner is a must with this shampoo as it leaves [my] fine hair straw-like and in tangles in the shower, must use a lot to get a good lather, some product is wasted because shampoo tends to pool in the cap, fragrance doesn't linger, hair doesn't feel softer or more hydrated after drying if no conditioner is used.
Bottom Line: If this product got good reviews from customers on Ulta, the only thing I can gather is that this shampoo is NOT meant for all hair types. I decided to keep it because I figure I'll be going through the tube pretty quickly, but my search continues for a decent, sulfate-free shampoo.
