Wow!! I had to start my review off with wow because I have searched high and low, made my own DIY treatments, used Bordreaux's Butt Paste (diaper cream) castor oil, coconut oil, shea butter, everything under the sun... Nothing, NOTHING has healed my dry flakey lips EVER, but this lip treatment has. The SA at MAC put some on my lips while I was between trying colors and my lips were soft within 10 min. 10 min!!! I have had treatments on my lips for 2 weeks and had nothing happen. I'm so excited that I actually found this because they were sold out at the store (for obvious reasons.) Well I hope this secret doesn't get out too far because I would hate to ever be out of this little miracle;) I am fully aware of the ingredients and the petroleum. I am very much into natural products and dislike anything that is marginally counter productive to my natural ways. But what can I say? My natural sh$@ hasn't worked! Sometimes you just have to use what works lol.

I love this product! I purchased this at the counter here in Australia so the price was $20 which for me is very cheap as I never buy drug store products, also this product is part of the Viva Glam Range and ALL the proceeds go to their AIDs charity, so think of it as donating to charity if you feel guilty about treating yourself to a new lipstick/balm etc. :)
I initially chose the tube as it seemed a lot more hygienic than the tub or the 'chapstick' twist up type.
I had actually burnt my lips on hot water a few weeks ago and the top lip was very flaky and scabby and I'd tried pawpaw creams, lip balms etc. so thats why I decided to see what MAC had to offer, I tried this lip conditioner and it really was amazing, my lips felt very smooth and silky and all the flaky skin seemed smoother and less visible immediately, so I purchased it no hesitation!
It also might I add, smells amazing! The classic vanilla mac lipstick scent unlike the other lip balm which had a weird citrusy scent.
It's been 2 days now and my lips are almost 100% back to normal I'm very impressed and definitely buy again. Only downside in my opinion the packaging is a bit average, and it is quite a small tube but I definitely recommend this!!

Was trying on lipsticks to buy and the MUA put this on and OMG! The dry, cracked corners of my lips (that I've been trying to get rid of) are finally healed. Been using this every second day or so and they're completely fine now. Also this is LIGHTWEIGHT & NON-TACKY but still does its job FABULOUSLY!

Well my lips were very chapped and flaky..i went to mac basically to buy a lipliner ..so when the makeupartist applied on my lips he first used the ricky martin lip conditoner the he used the lip liner...OMG it was awesome...my lips looked sooo nice and smooth and the flakiness was gone ..its a must for me ..i bought too of them..it doesnt have any colour ..its basically a treatment for your lips

they are even better than the petting pink lip condioners

Absolutly agree. It goes towards a great cause...is SUPER hydrating..It makes my lips the softest they have ever felt..it isnt sticky..isnt shimmery or overly shiny. Just makes your lips loops super healthy. So glad I bought.

I initially purchased this because:
1. The name "lip conditioner" appeals to me for some reason.
2. All proceeds of All MAC Viva Glam products goes directly towards their AIDS fund, which is definitely a worthy cause that I would happily pay $15 for, even if I didn't receive this nice lip conditioner for my money.
Ricky Martin is the spokesperson of this product (hence his signature on the front of the tube and his name in the product name), but that didn't compel me to purchase this since I'm not really into him.
But nonetheless, this is a great lip balm. It's clear, but it's very moisturizing. It also makes my lips extremely smooth and soft; nothing that any other lip balm I've tried could do!
And absolutely love how this doesn't feel thick or heavy on my lips like regular solid lip balms do!!! I can still feel it, but it feels very thin on my lips!
The lasting power is really good--it lasts for like 3-4 hours, but even then, I still apply it every once in a while because I'm simply addicted to lip balms, and I love how this stuff feels on my lips!
Oh, and the finish is very flattering too--it gives a nice healthy shine, but it's not glossy. And it has no shimmer. (:
For $15, it's totally worth it, especially since it comes with 15g of product (for those of you who don't know, that's a LOT), and ESPECIALLY since the proceeds goes towards helping AIDS.
