When I read that Purty Persimmon is a dupe for MAC's Sail la Vie, I had to have it because I LOVE orange and red lipsticks and this is a perfect combination of both. With my NC/25 skin with yellow undertones, it is very flattering. It stays true to it's name "Megalast" because it is a longwearing lipstick. It is a bit drying though, as most longwearing lipsticks are.The price is sweet - $1.99.

This is a slightly less pigmented version of Mac So Chaud. I will be rocking this color all summer long. Just got this at CVS for $1.99 and I am quite pleased. It is a little shiny for a matte lippie but I like that.

Purty Persimmon is a very gorgeous lipstick with a really dumb name. On me (PPP) it is a very bright coral with just a touch of red. I don't find it to be outright orange and I don't really detect any pink either. Basically it is a true coral red. It is quite vibrant, but it isn't over the top IMHO. It is an easy way to foray into brighter lipsticks or reds if that is not something you're already comfortable with. I actually think this one is a little smoother and softer than some of the other Mega Last lipsticks, but it has the same matte or semi-matte finish. The wear is pretty decent on this one, at least 5 hours, but I always wear a thin layer of lip balm underneath most of my lipsticks.

Love this color! I wear this frequently and it stays on for hours. I only have to reapply after eating. (Or kissing >:D) I don't find it drying at all, but I am a very hydrated person in general. This whole line of lip colors is fantastic; I think I'll swatch them all eventually. HG product for me. continued >>

I recently got into bright lipsticks and these lipsticks caught my attention. Purty Persimmon is a gorgeous, bright red-orange. It's a perfect dupe for MAC Sail La Vie. It's a matte, but goes on semi-creamy. Stays really well, no lip liner needed, I just fix the borders with a lip brush. Naturally, it's drying, but it's not super uncomfortable. For $2, you can't expect a luxury formula, but the color is fantastic. The other color I recommend is Red Velvet, a bright cherry red.

I have 4 or 5 other shades of WnW megalasts and love them all, great quality and staying power for the $1.99 price tag. I originally had no interest in this new spring shade because it looked so scary and bright in the tube. Then I happened to see a lovely fotd on the boards and the MUA'er was wearing MAC Sail la Vie which is a beautiful orangey red shade. MAC and their le madness essentially makes so many pretty shades of lipstick unavailable when you discover them a few months after a collection release. After some googling I realized this shade is touted as a dupe for Sail la Vie. It's a beautiful shade of lipstick, corally red, and much easier to wear than it might appear in the tube, a different spin on red that's perfect for spring and summer. I'm NC25-30 and it's very flattering. For the price, it's hard to go wrong on this one.

i just use a little of this as a stain, and it goes on evenly and looks very matte. it's a really wonderful reddish-orange color that is striking but not TOO crazy. long-lasting and seems to fade evenly. my only issue is with the packaging--the cap came off in my make-up bag and the lipstick (which doesn't retract) got all over everything. but other than that, highly recommended.

I've gone on a WNW lipstick haul and I picked this one up because I was attracted to the bright color. I must say this is a great coral color. It is matte which is great but because it's matte it is drying but put some lip chap under your lipstick and you're good to go! It does lean a tiny bit towards red than orange and I'm so happy to finally find a lipstick that's more corally red than orange. This will come off after you eat and drink so be prepared to re-apply. I highly recommend this and I would definitely repurchase.

COMMENTS

This is very similar to Revlon's Siren, but not as orange. It has a slight red undertone to it. It's very bright, but if you pair Think Pink over this shade...you will get a gorgeous coral lip that's much easier to wear.

Will repurchase.
