I was looking for the shade in stoplight red but saw this and decided to try it. I think it is a bit too warm for my skin tone and didn't flatter me at all. It definitely is a bright cherry red. It goes on matte and has decent staying power. I don't feel the need to use a lip liner with this as I think it looks good without it. I detect no obnoxious smell and it can also be used as a stain. On my pigmented lips it was a bit garish. I need either a true red or something with brown undertones in order to pull it off. Good color, just not for me.

This isn't just me being cheap, because I've experimented with every price range from ELF to Dior, and there really is something about the Megalast line. They're PACKED with pigment and the fashion-conscious colour range never ceases to amaze me.

As to a downside, they are very heavy and dense, so they do dry out while they're sitting on your mouth, but you can expect that with pretty much any matte or long-lasting formula. I'd suggest doing some prepwork with a creamy balm before you even start your makeup: blot off the excess when you get around to painting your lips, then dab a waxy (not glossy) balm over the top after applying, which will make it a little more comfortable without creating too much texture interference.

A lip brush wouldn't be a bad idea, either, considering the weird flat-top shape of the bullet.

What makes this particular red--out of itself, Cherry Picking (pinky blue-based), Purty Persimmon (orangey) and Stoplight Red (dark true red)--such a killer is...maybe the fact that I ignored it for so long. Usually I'm drawn to bloodier, bluer reds, whereas this is more of a straight-up primary deal, but it was another case of showing up at the store with a fresh pair of eyes and going, "Hmmmm..." For the most part I like my reds to jump off my face, and this one is on it, every time. (Based on that endorsement, if you prefer something more low-key, a whisper over a shout, then move on, because this probably isn't the red you're looking for.)

In my hunt for the perfect red lipstick I have passed this up time and time again and now that I finally bought it I wonder what the hell I was thinking by not getting it before. I think compared to some other truer reds (like "stoplight red" or NYC "retro red") under the drugstore lighting it looked to pink- I was wrong. Its red and bright and cheerful. Many say its a cherry red and I would agree. Its a blue based red but it has a bit of warmth to it thats hard to describe and even though it is a cool toned color I can see how certain skin tones may think its orangey, due to the warmth it gives off, although I cannot detect any orange tones in it. It brightens my face up and makes my lips look plump. I put it on straight from the tube and clean it up with a brush, no liner needed and long lasting.

It's not that the product is in anyway offensive- i guess i just don't like it much on my lips. It's more an orangey red, but less orangey than Mac's So chaud for example.

I don't like the way it applies on my lips- having worn it twice, i managed to get it outside my lips, on my teeth- everywhere! The texture is good as typical of Wet n Wild lipsticks. It matches a red jumper of mine, so will probably just wear it to match that time to time. Not a favourite of mine...maybe it will be in the Summer?

The only reason I would not buy this again is because the color really does not suit my pale, cool coloring.

The formula itself is creamy and long lasting. It is matte so adding a gloss on top is a must IMHO.

I believe this color would look outstanding on somebody with pale skin, dark hair and warm coloring. I can wear it and I do, it's just not THE most flattering color on me that I have in my lipstick arsenal.

Wet N Wild got this one right! It doesn't have a "lipstick" smell. I have a sensitive nose so I can't stand things that smell too strong of anything on my lips. The color is gorgeous! It works well on my NC30-NC35 skin. It also works well on my friend who is NW 20 I believe. I did a test on the claim to it's 4 hour staying power. I ate, went to the gym and 3.5 hours later without any touch-ups the lipstick still looked great!

One lippie was taken away for the cheap packaging, but I'm used to that with WnW lip products. I don't fault them for it because the product itself is good and you can't beat the price. Also, it's not the most hydrating thing but it's also not super drying to the point that it would bother me.

I have found my Holy Grail drugstore lipstick! I usually use the CoverGirl ones (which I do recommend trying out) but I like these colors much better. They are longer lasting, very matte, almost like a lipstick stain - that's how well and pigmented this is on my lips. I absolutely ADORE this color - it is such a vibrant, bright, cherry red lipstick. It makes my lips look so big and full, no lip liner is needed, you don't have to worry about it fading throughout the day. I usually wear lipgloss over my lipsticks almost ALWAYS, even my matte ones, but I find that I can use this alone for a classier, edgier look and it is matte - but it still gives your lips dimension, and doesn't make them flat looking like most matte lipsticks do - if that makes sense. A couple of downfalls are that the actual lipstick packaging itself kind of comes apart and doesn't last if you bring it in your purse or make up bag, which is a bummer, and it kind of smears in the lid of the cap but overall doesn't affect the lipstick much at all. Just a bit messy at times. It also has a tendency to bleed and I really don't like that because it's such a dark color and it ruins my foundation. For 2$ PLEASE go try this, you will not regret it.

One of my alltime favourite Wet n Wild lipsticks!! Probably my favourite bold lipstick at the moment! I love the pinkish tone it has, it really compliments the bold red. Will definitely be purchasing this one again!

I recently got into bold lipsticks and Megalast caught my attention. I've been looking for the perfect bright, cherry red and this is it. It's matte, but goes on semi-creamy. I blot it because I like it more as a stain. Stays well, no lip liner needed, I just fix the borders with a lip brush. Naturally, it's drying, but it's not super uncomfortable. For $2, you can't expect a luxury formula, but the color really is great. The other color I recommend is Purty Persimmon, a bright red-orange.
