Love this, I have always been searching for a cheap alternative to Stilas liquid liner pen and for $3 or so this iis great.
I have both the waterproof and non waterproof versions and cannot really differentiate between the two.
They are both shiny pigmented black liquid coming out that dries to a matte finish.
The packaging is small and compact with a felt tip applicator that is easy to work with.
My only issue with most liquid liners is that the bigger the cat eye wing, the more faded/patchy it wears, so best to keep close to the lash line and only a small flick.

I have heard a lot of great things about Essence and it is very popular over in Europe. It is available here in the US in some stores now so I am finally getting the opportunity to see what all the raves are about. I picked up this liquid eye liner a couple of months ago and I have been using it quite a bit. I still prefer a pencil liner because I am simply better at applying them and invariably I will bobble, have to sneeze, or blink at the wrong time and have to redo part of my liquid line. So I don't reach for liquid liners as much but I do like the sharp precise line they give and this one is a fantastic deal. It has a small short handled brush which is actually easier to use than a longer handled brush, I feel like I have more control with the shorter one. This goes on smoothly and evenly and it dries quickly unless you get it too heavy in one spot. It stays put all day and does not flake off or smudge. If you happen to rub your eyes it will come off, but no liner is perfect. If you make a mistake you can easily fix it with a cotton tipped swab and a redo as long as you get to it immediately before it dries. If you wait a minute it will already be dried and set. I don't remember the exact cost of this but I think it was around $3. This is really a bargain and it works very well for me. I will be getting this again as it performs well for me.

This liquid eyeliner was terrible for me. The brush is a felt tip that was very thick. The eyeliner itself, is very watery. It's black, but watery. It takes 4ever to dry! It doesn't give me a straight line. It burns my eye if its near the bottom of my eye. The packaging is adorable though. It's shaped like a bullet. I got this eyeliner for $3 at my local SDM. I would not buy this product again.

First of all, I am an eyeliner girl. I use eyeliner everyday. So I can safely say that I am an expert. I can draw a perfect line with gel eyeliner, liquid, pencil and so on.
Now this eyeliner is dirt cheap, it stays on all day BUT it is not easy to apply. The tip is not sharp, it's kind of a weird shape, like flat and sharp at the same time....Difficult to describe if you don't own one, but trust me, if you're not an expert, you will have difficulties drawing a thin line, especially towards the inner corner of your eye. When I use it, I end up with a much bigger line that i'm accustomed to and it looks really fake. So i won't repurchase. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Stila one but so far, no luck.

I have the waterproof version of this eyeliner. The felt tip makes for an easy application, and the formula is easy to work with and is pigmented.

My eyelids tend to get oily throughout the day, but this eyeliner still lasts. HOWEVER, it does flake and fade if you don't prime your eyes before hand or "set" the eyeliner, which I highly recommend you do. I usually apply this liner after I've lined my eyes with a pencil first, or I apply this liner and then layer the Essence gel liner on top.

Overall this is a great product. It is dirt cheap for only $2.99 at shoppers drug mart. All of the essence eye products I've tried are slowly becoming my go-to products. Will buy again!

Years ago I gave up on drugstore brands in favor of way too expensive but very alluring brands like Shiseido and Chanel. But now I see the error of my ways. This eyeliner is really cheap and very good. Good texture, good brush. What more could I wish for?

I have to admit that this eyeliner is the best eyeliner that I have ever bought so far.I love the matte finish,it's consistency, and the true black of the product. On the packaging,it says that this eyeliner is waterproof.Well based on my experience, this eyeliner is easy to wash off with a wet tissue,I'm not sure if it's because of my oily lids though. But it's smudge-proof ! Which is great! But I don't like the applicator because it's not as pointy as a pen eyeliner applicator, I prefer a pen eyeliner over a regular liquid eyeliner but this essence eyeliner works just as good.Essence is the only product that is very cheap and affordable in my country but it works as good as other good drugstore product. The only big downside about this eyeliner is that it flakes,I rather prefer my eyeliner fades than flakes because it looks horrible! But otherwise this eyeliner is pretty good.I would repurchase this eyeliner if there is no other liquid eyeliner that ismuch better than this.

Ultra black and it has the perfect handle, short and managable.

I really recommend it, you should try that thing. You won't pay unnecessarily big tags for Loreal superliner again.

Hands down, best liquid eyeliner EVER. I paid $1.50 USD for it at Ulta and i have to say, its the best buck and a half i've ever spent. I've used it everyday for almost a year now, and i feel like i could use the same tube for another year! (And i might add-i use A LOT of eyeliner). It hasn't dried up at all, its so pigmented that you barely need any, and it's made my eyelashes look better that ever. This is definitely a must have for anyone inter wearing eyeliner- wether you're a drugstore or high-end junkie you'll love it!

This was my first liquid eyeliner purchase. I am exceedingly happy with it. I bought the water proof formula with the blue packaging for under $3CAD. You cannot beat that.
I gave the product four lippies. It is very pigmented and offers a solid black line. Also, the formula truly is waterproof. I left the tester on the back of my hand after purchasing. It did not budge until I showered the next day. Please *note that I wash my hands obsessively, so this really was impressive. The wand is small and easy to maneuver. However, the felt tip leaves a little to be desired. It is rather chunky and fading the line in the outer corner to produce a wing is quite tricky. I usually use q-tips and makeup remover to help me out (although I am quite inexperienced). Finally, I bought the product two and there seems to be lots left! So for less than $3CAD, it's worth a try!
