This is an amazing mascara! I have short lashes and this mascara gives lasting volume and length! I don't need an eyelash curler, I love it!

Definitely 5 lippies and a definite yes for repurchasing!
I purchased this mascara after my lashes became brittle from using other mascaras. Since using this I swear my lashes are a little longer, curlier and much healthier looking. I've even ditched my eyelash curler since using this mascara!
I don't have a problem with it smudging or running and find it goes on smooth, even after 2 coats.
This is one of my must haves in my make up bag. Can't live without this actually :)

Urban Decay's Lush Lash Mascara will "indulge your lashes with the hardest working mascara on the planet. Our unique formula delivers instant length and volume and allows them to grow LONGER!". This mascara is supposedly infused with a growth serum which conditions the lashes with nourishing ingredients like panthenol and peptides. Urban Decay suggests using this mascara in conjunction with their Lush Lash Serum. I got a sample of this mascara as a gift with purchase at Ulta. The full size tube retails for $20. This mascara is vegan. Urban Decay is a cruelty free brand, but they were recently acquired by L'Oreal, a brand known for testing on animals. This mascara was made in Canada. Urban Decay products can be bought on the brand's website, at Sephora and Ulta, and I believe select department stores as well.
Lush Lash, like most Urban Decay products, has attractive, edgy, and intricate packaging. Lush Lash comes in a pretty lavender tube with purple detailing. The name of the product and the Urban Decay logo are written on the tube in purple lettering, along with a short claim that be can found on the tube. Very pretty stuff, Urban Decay, not very informative, but it is a sample after all.
Lush Lash has an interesting brush. The rubber brush is average in length and comes to a rounded point. This brush has short, evenly spaced bristles that really grab the lashes well. The brush is widest at the bottom, nips in at the middle, and rounds off again towards the top. The bristles are the shortest where the brush curves inwards. I'm not entirely sure of Urban Decay's thoughts when they were designing this brush, the taped middle section of the brush doesn't really make sense to me. All that being said, the brush isn't bad, it's easy to work with and good at separating the lashes.
Urban Decay's Lush Lash doesn't Really live up to it's name. The results are ok, I just wouldn't call my lashes "lush" when I wear this mascara. Urban Decay says that this mascara will "nourish, thicken, and lengthen". Honestly, I only see the length, which it gives a nice amount of. This mascara seperates my lashes well, except on the outer corner, where it tangles them up a little bit. Lush Lash offers no volume, which is kinda disappointing. This mascara is very much a "daily" mascara, there's no drama at all, which is the exact opposite of what I expected. I've never actually noticed any flaking from Lush Lash, but it loses a lot of oomph throughout the day. At the end of the day I only have half of the mascara I applied left. I don't know where it goes, it doesn't flake or smudge, it's so strange.
I feel a little disappointed by Urban Decay's Lush Lash. With a name like that I thought I was going to get big, thick lashes (I guess that's what Big Fatty is for), but instead I just get a nice amount of length, nothing amazing. My question is, where does that length go? The flakeless disappearance of my mascara is worthy of a spot on Unsolved Mysteries. I don't really have anything to say for the effectiveness of the serum in this mascara; I haven't noticed a difference in my lashes and I doubt I would if I used the entire tube. I think you'd need to use only this mascara for a few months to really see results and I'm not capable of that kind of cosmetic commitment. If you can devote your lashes to on mascara for the sake of growing your lashes, try Lush Lash, but otherwise, there are better mascaras to try. I wouldn't repurchase.

I have not seen the fruits of the lengthening that this mascara purports to give. I have mixed feelings.
However, here are my pros:
- not clumpy
- not irritating
- natural
- good lash separation & length
- nice applicator

Cons:
- would prefer it to be a bit darker
- not enough volume
- difficult to remove even though it isn't waterproof

I'm not going to comment on its supposed ability to alter the natural length of your lashes. That's not why I'm using it and I haven't really been using it long enough to see those kind of results anyway.

For years I've searched for a vegan mascara that offered hardcore lengthening like many conventional ones have been offering and was usually disappointed. I'd check the ingredients list of many drugstore and prestige brands hoping that I might find one that just happened to be free of beeswax. I even tried an indie cosmetics one and was saddened by the results. My old standbys from BWC and ZuZu Luxe just didn't do it for me anymore. When you're born with short lashes you crave what you don't have bitamaprost is just too expensive. Finally, I found what I was looking for in Lush Lash. Frankly, it performs as well as the best Lancome and Chanel mascaras at about ten US$ less. It's not waterproof but I have noticed minimal smudging after an eight hour workday. I don't even really need to use Urban Decay's lash primer which I've been relying on for years. It doesn't have a tendency to clump and the spider lash effect only happens if you over apply. So it's basically what I've been searching for. Thank you, Urban Decay. So could you please make yourself un-recently sold the L'Oreal by any chance? You wouldn't want your credibility with vegans to go the way of the Body Shop, do you?

Finally, my HG mascara! Lush Lash leaves me with dark, thick, non-crunchy/clumpy, and long lashes. I haven't experienced any flaking or smudging, even on my lower lashes. The formula doesn't irritate my eyes. This mascara is an absolute win for me! I have tried over 25+ kinds of mascara from high and low end brands, and I will continue to buy this mascara over and over. As for the conditioning and lash growth stimulating factors, I haven't noticed too much growth, but my lashes seem to be falling out much less. I'm pretty happy with my lash length to begin with, so this wasn't a critical criteria for me when evaluating a mascara.

Due to age and thyroid problems, my lashes were looking pretty skimpy. My bottom lashes were non-existant, even with mascara. I picked this up in a shopping spree at Sephora and I'm now on my second tube. This is my every day mascara. I use it even if I'm using no other makeup. The difference in my lashes is definitely noticeable, especially the upper outer lashes, which are longer than they used to be. I also see a difference in the volume as well. And my lower lashes have reappeared. I swear by this product because it definitely works for me.

I picked this up because I wanted a mascara with peptides to condition my lashes. I use L'Oreal Lash Boosting Serum on makeup free days or for a few hours before I go to bed (can't stand to wakeup with the goop in my eyes). I am not a fan of the L'Oreal Lash Boosting Mascara. When I saw this, I thought I'd give it a try.
I like the formula. It's a thinner formula with a somewhat wet consistency but it's easy to work with. My favorite mascara currently is Maybelline The Colossal (non-water proof). The formula of the Lush Lash is not as wet as The Colossal but it's thinner then the paste consistency of L'Oreal Voluminous.
I was a little skeptical when I first saw the brush. I like a classic brush and am usually not a fan of the stubby bristles. However, the shape works really well for the stubby bristles. It seems to apply a nice coat and separates my lashes.
I get both volume and length from this mascara. Most mascaras I've tried usually fall on one side or the other.
As far as the growth claims, I do feel my lashes are a bit more "lush" since I started using this mascara. You are not going to get Latisse type of results. This, like the L'Oreal Boosting Serum, only condition your lashes and allow them to grow a bit longer because of delayed breakage and fall out.
I don't see flaking or smearing at the end of the day, like I do with The Colossal. I do not like waterproof mascaras because they dry out and break my lashes. This is one of the longest wear non-waterproofs I've seen.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with this product. I really thought I was going to be returning it. Never thought it would be my new mascara of choice.

Love this mascara, doesn't flake or crumble. It is great to put on a couple coats throughout the day and will not look clumpy. No spider leg lashes here, it seperates nicely and lengthens too.

I got this Mascara because I'd been using the UD Lush Lash System and really liked it. This Mascara however leaves me with mixed feelings.


My Lashes: East Asian; so short and Sparse.


Mascara Application: Wand is easy to use and applies product evenly - but I should mention that I don't wear Mascara on my bottom lashes so idk how it performs on the lower lashes.


Wear: On it's own, the mascara flakes (though it doesn't clump) and doesn't make that much of a difference visually. However, applied over the Lush Lash Conditioner (the mascara wand end of the Lush Lash System), it's fantastic! When I wear it this way, it lasts all day and holds a curl really well. No flaking and no Panda Eyes.



Verdict: Since I already had/was using the LLS, this was a good buy for me. However, I wouldn't get it if I didn't already have the conditioner. (If you do the math, it's like $65 total!) I'd buy it again if I had money to spare but will probably look for a cheaper option once my tube is out.
