This alas did not work as a face SS, but works nicely as a hand cream, which is what it is. It is very light and thin, so I can see why people are using it on their face. Minerals break me out alas! This has a lovely texture and goes in very quickly. I'd say it's pretty sheer. Rubs on like thin slightly oily lotion, but dries very fast. I wish I could use it on my face!I t has a much nicer texture than the Resist SPF face moisturizer, which was very thick yet left me dry. Also broke me out. I like a fair amount of moisturizer on my face, so this was less hydrating than I'd want ideally. Still, were it not for the breakouts that I get from minerals, I use it in a heart beat on my face. I sill like it on my hands and chest. I think for this be something to consider if you tolerate mineral ss for your face.

My only complaint is that PC doesn't sell this product in a bigger package so I could use for my whole body. I use mainly for my hands, neck and chest area (I'm happy with my current sunscreen for my face, so I haven't tried this). I usually have dry hands and find this moisturizing enough. I honestly cannot remember the last time my hands have felt this soft and smooth! And I love that they're being protected from further damage.

Wow.
Wow.
Wow.
Based on the reviews I bought this sunscreen for my face instead of my hands. I have a temperamental oily t-zone and chin with normal cheeks and forehead. I always have to blot. This is one of the only sunscreens where I only had to blot ONCE around 4 pm. That's just crazy. That's unheard of in my world. Color me happy. And even when I blot, I only have to use one blotting sheet. Again.. w-o-w.
I have used Paula's Choice for years. Her skin balanced line helps keep my skin rather clear (and also helps with the oilies - I LOVE the BHA 2% liquid exfoliant - i'ts like a miracle in a bottle) and this hand sunscreen has a matte appearance.
Another nice thing is that this sunscreen has been on sale on her website for a while. It's usually about $15 for 1.7 oz but it's only around $12 now. Just bought my second bottle. Since it's "winter" here in San Diego I may have to update how this does in the summer with the ever-so-slight change in weather. ;-) Highly recommend.
Oh, I almost forgot.. the product is kinda runny and it comes in a tube with a flip top. If you're not careful it comes out too much too fast. Squeeze gently and be prepared to close it quickly. Hope this helps.

This is my 3rd tube of using this product. I guess that speaks for itself on how much I like using this. I am only using this as my facial sunscreen, because:
ii) it has satin matte finish (and almost absorbent feel to it), so it is perfect for my very oily skin.
iii) i am a obsess about sun protection.
Recently, I apply SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 on top. The former is rich in antioxidant and the latter has 'drier' and 'matte-er' finish. Match made in heaven. :). bye bye UV.
My only complain about RESIST Ultimate Anti-Aging Hand Cream SPF 30 + Antioxidants is the packaging. I wish this has similar packaging like the Shine Stopper Instant Matte Finish for better control of the outflow of the product.

I have been using this for 6 months now so I feel I can speak to it pretty well. LOVE IT! I use it solely on my face. It hits all of my criteria:
- cosmetically-elegant texture
- leaves an almost matte finish - slightly dewy
- barely noticeable white cast
- no perfume scent
- feels it protects better than other physical sunblocks I've used (e.g., Pratima Neem Rose)
- easier to wash off than all the other physical sunblocks I've tried (I still use DHC cleansing oil to wash off everything at night just to be sure I clean out those pores)
- inexpensive - don't know how this is possible, but one tube used daily on the face lasted 6 months!

I wouldn't use this as a hand cream. I don't use them, and even if I did, this is not very moisturizing. However, this is a fantastic mineral-based facial sunscreen for oily/combo gals. I find it pretty easy to blend out, it does not get oily or messy, does not smell like sunscreen (I hate the "sunscreen" smell!) and I just love that it contains only physical sunscreens, as chemical sunscreens tend to bother my eyes. Superior to most other facial sunscreens I've used, and a rare combination finish and ingredients. Also, quite reasonable compared to other facial sunscreens.

Excellent face SPF for combination/oily skin. I have been using Elta MD Clear SPF 46 (which has been fantastic) but it does give up a lot of sheen (which I mattify with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder) & it also has a chemical filter component. I bought PC Resist Hand Cream about six months ago & had used on my hands occasionally - never really blown away. I felt it wasn't hydrating enough - however that can be a positive - fast-absorbing is practical for use during the day which is what this product is intended for being an SPF. I came across the idea to try this product as a facial SPF in the reviews at paulaschoice.com - I checked the ingredients - physical sunblock ingredients only - great (physical only is my personal ideal SPF-wise). So I tried it. And loved it. Even though the SPF is lower than my Elta, my skin feels more protected ALL day and even into the evening. I think contributing factors would be: 1. PC is a true block whereas Elta is a block/screen combo & 2. The PC really adheres to my skin, hydrates at a deep level whilst at the same time forming a matte protective barrier whereas the Elta could get so shiny I would sometimes feel when I blotted that some of the SPF was lost. Still loving Elta but I think I will switch permanently to PC if after trialling for one month, I remain blemish-free (Elta has NEVER broken me out & I apply my SPF heavily). continued >>

I was looking for a hydrating hand cream for dry hands that also had physical (zinc/titanium) SPF. This could be kind of tricky since emollient hand cream makes your hands moisturized but slippery, and suncreeen filters feel drying on the hands. However, I thought PC would be able to come up with something elegant. This is an excellent dry-touch sunscreen, but it's not a moisturizing hand-cream. It feels moisturizing going on, but quickly feels dry and rather tight like a regular ss would. I feel that I can get the same effect by using regular ss on my hands, so this is not what I was looking for. Oh, well - at least I gave it a try!

I would probably buy this product again, but not without some reservations. I was thrilled to find a purse-sized hand cream with a high SPF, but this works more like a sunscreen than a hand cream. I have pretty dry hands because I wash them very often, but despite repeated applications throughout the day, my hands still feel a bit rough and chapped. I'll probably use this in tandem with a richer, more emollient hand cream at night.
