I got a sample from sephora and when i tried I did love it the coverage was great I still use concealer I had it on for like an hour was just playing around qith because I have sensitive skin and i deal w redness and breakouts from certain foundations. Believe im very thorough w washing my makeup off w olay facial clothes to wash my face and still did a neutrogena exfoliator n toner and still woke up w a pimple on my cheek :( im still in search for that HG foundation that doesnt break me out
I own A LOT of foundations but this is definitely in my top 5.
I use 005 and although yes it is still a shade or two too dark (very pale person) its one of the closest matches I've found.
It has medium+ coverage
It lasts until I'm ready to take it off.
I have very oily skin to the point where I powder almost every hour - this foundation does help to mattify some of that oil however some with dry skin may find this drying.
I find this doesn't glide over dry patches but it didn't make them look overtly obvious either.
It leaves a beautiful finish to the face and as someone that categorizes my foundations into day or evening this is definitely in both. Natural enough for day time- enough coverage for night.
It's definitely a flawless finish.

No matter what other foundations i try, i always go back to my Lancome. My skin has been dry recently so i was trying to use less drying formulas, however i found that this foundation still looked the best on my dry skin!
I am very fair (Bobbi Brown 00), and use the shade 005. When i first put it on it looks lovely, however i find that it does oxidise throughout the day, and this is the only reason i try other brands. I quite like being pale, and having a line of colour at my jaw is not a good look!
The staying power is wonderful, as it claims to be, although i find on the rare occasion i do need to touch up, it does not look at all cakey when i re-apply.
Coverage is medium but buildable, this can definitely be built up to a full coverage foundation.
When my skin is oily, i find that it helps to control my oil levels. It gives a satin-matte finish on me, even when my skin is dry, and this i love, as i have never been a fan of the completely matte look!
Overall, very pleased and would repurchase. My only criticism is the colour range - although there are not many companies that cater for skin as fair as mine!

I've been hunting around for the perfect foundation, one that covers without looking too heavy, one that doesn't feel thick on (like Estee Lauder Double wear which is nice looking but oh so heavy), one that lasts, one that doesn't oxidise, one that doesn't end up looking powdery and highlight every pore in my face (like Elizabeth Arden ceramide plump make up) and more importantly one that isn't going to turn shiny and be sliding off my face after a few hours wear.
I have a very light olive complexion, combination skin, prone to looking oily when I moisturise and add foundation so I want something to control that. I have no real wrinkles but my skin tone can look a bit dull. So I want something to even it out, liven it up and look beautiful and natural at the same time.
I ended up at the Lancome counter. I debated whether to go for a lighter dewy finish or one which would control oil. After much chatting them all over with the Lancome sales assistant. I arrived at this one, simply because I thought the sales assistants makeup/ skin looked very nice indeed, her skin looked radiant even and not over made up, not at all thickly made up looking like some counter assistants do and when I asked her what she was wearing and she told me it was Lancome Teint Idole Ultra, that made me decide on this.
So once home, I applied the foundation over a free sample of youth serum I was also given at the Lancome counter. The serum soaks straight into the skin so it wasn't necessarily the best to aid the application for this foundation which isn't a 'glider' on and I was a little unsure at first when I was applying it as it did take a little work to spread about, I applied with a flat foundation brush but then begun to use my fingers which I think maybe a better option as the foundation dries fairly quick on application.
Once on though, I was pretty impressed with the results. It looked great There was no sticking in pores no caky look. No heavy make up feel. It just looks like second skin only way better. After wearing the whole day and checking on it throughout and noting its not fading, not oxidising, not looking oily. I think I'm in love with this make up.
Well - this is the ONLY foundation (and I have used so many!) who perfectly matches my super pale skin tone. Seriously. I have always been worried by color difference between face and neck, but this is my holy grail. Simply perfect tone.
It has very nice coverage without being cakey or looking fake - it looks like I have a perfect natural skin.
It's a bit drying - so be careful and moisturize your skin before applying. You may not need powder (and I always used to put powder on foundation) even if you have combination skin like me.
It smells a bit like alcohol, but this can be managed by shaking the bottle before use.
The texture is fluid and nice to apply. I also loved packaging.
This is by far and away the finest foundation I have ever used---and I've used so many. The finish is incredible---it perfects the skin, gives me a perfectly even skin tone but it looks like a second skin. You can't see that you're wearing makeup. It even covers fine lines for me. It is simply exquisite. I've strayed now and then by taking samples of other makeup, like the newer mineral or Amazonian Clay products, but nothing comes close. If I spread it with my fingers it goes on great and lasts much longer than if I use a brush. You need way less product when you use your fingers. My skin is sensitive, fair, and breaks out easily. Zero problems with this make-up. Highly recommend.
Hands down one of the best foundations on the market. This does not change color as other's do, it last's until you take it off and there are so many different shades to match every skintone. Lancôme never ceases to amaze me with their cosmetics. Unlike no other for sure.

I understand what others are saying about this foundation being drying, but for someone with oily skin who still uses moisturizer daily, I feel this compliments my skin well. I have to make sure I exfoliate frequently and also moisturize well, but other than that I love this foundation. I am a lancome girl- always have been. I first tried the teint miracle foundation, which I loved, but unfortunately it irritated my skin- mainly on my forehead (I'm not sure if one of the ingredients that created the 'glowy' effect had to do with that). That being said, I was VERY hesitant to try this foundation out because of my results with the teint miracle. The one thing I LOVE about this foundation is that I don't have trouble finding a shade match. I will say that lancome is geared towards more of the neutral/warm tones, but I have olive skin so I'm able to find the perfect shade. I also love how natural this looks on my skin. The key to this is only using a pump or two and then blending very well (I use a sigma flat top kabuki brush). This foundation doesn't break me out, and let me tell you- I have acne-prone skin. That being said, I will continue to re-purchase! Definitely recommend!

First of all, this doesn't last 24 hours. I would say it lasted around 6 hours on me. It started to fade though and patches started forming... It smells awful and the colour I was matched with was so yellow it made me look like I hadn't been to the loo.... A serious rip off. I am glad I didn't buy the full size!
I was first drawn to this foundation due to the list of noncomedogenic ingredients. It's difficult to find a foundation that is safe for my break out prone skin and I was able to find a good match for when I got tan. I have combination oily skin that is also dried out most of the time from using acne treatments. I've been trying this out for over a week and even on days when my skin is in really good condition-not dry and freshly exfoliated, this foundation will somehow still manage to create a layer of dryness on the surface of my skin. It looks horrible and my bronzer and blush do not sit right on top. This might be good for some one with extremely oily skin that doesn't also suffer from dryness.
