It looks like I'm in the minority as one who really likes this product. For one thing, it comes in a nice range of colors, including my favorite charcoal that I like to use to subtly enhance my blue eyes. For some reason, it's difficult to find good grey and charcoal liners at the drugstore, and I've tried most of them. This one is a pretty, matte blue-based charcoal, and nicely pigmented. I normally prefer liquid liners to cream ones, but this liner's creamier consistency is a nice compromise. As a practiced liquid liner user, I find that the product applies quite well for me, sort of like a cross between a liquid and gel liner. I don't have any problems creating a thin or thick line, or a winged look if I like. Perhaps the more liquid texture is the reason people are having application issues? Just a guess. I do like the packaging, but find I need to clean the brush regularly with makeup wipes to keep the product from building up. Overall, this is a nice option for me, and I probably will keep using it until I find something in the same price range I like better.
just bought this and have tried it a couple of days, and will return it today. It does not go on smoothly at all, color wont stick, I can't make a smooth line with it. It seems really dry, not like a gel. Maybe it is old or something but I just opened it. However the stuff I actually got on my eye did stay there and didn't smudge all day so I wish it worked correctly
I am not a huge fan of gel eye liner. This could be because i am very clumsy and mess up often when applying makeup but my eyeliner always looks like a hot mess when using this. If you mess up it is so hard to remove around your eye areas and i find myself having to start over several times just to get one eye done. Revlon's color stay eyeliner feels very cheap to me and the brush is poorly made.
It is actually quite creamy compare to Maybellines gel liner. I would love to repurchase it but it only stays on for about 2-3 hours then either it starts to fade away or it transfers to your lower lash line and you end up looking like a raccoon. The brush is the same as Maybelline's gel liner except its smaller. Would not reccomend :(
Not gel, but rather stone. I got it when it was new, so it can't be an old jar or sht. Just genuine crap. I usually don't absolutely hate products so this is a precedent for me. I just cannot think of any good reason to keep this product. Apart from this liner, Revlon make my HG fdt in many years now though, so if you're willing to try a real good product by them, go for Colorstay fdt or the new HD mascara (the HD fdt was also immense crap)
Not exactly spectacular, but I really like this product. I think the design is really cool, since you always have the brush contained in the package, however, it's just about impossible to get a fine line--for me anyway. I only managed to get thick bold lines with this. The formula sets and lasts, but it's not as good as the Colorstay liner in the pencil form. It's not as black and it just doesn't set as well. Still, this is easy to use and it's reasonably priced. I picked this up at CVS for about $4 after the sale and coupons. Regular price was $10.89.
I purchased this today at CVS. It was on sale buy 1 get one half off, I had a coupon and "extra bucks" so, I got two and a Physicians Formula mascara. I ended up paying only $7. I don't understand all of the complaints. I love this stuff, it glides perfectly and I only needed one coat, in response to other posts who said it was too sheer. I would definitely buy again.
So I bought this product on sale (thank goodness, it is great but pretty expensive by me). I am always looking for really nice gel/liquid liners, and they are not that simple to find. However, I took a gamble on these and I will honestly say that they are the best that I have ever used. I even found some more the other day (on sale again), and bought another black one as well as a purple and a brown one. The consistency is lovely, I personally found, and the application is simple and that the colours were very rich. It is nice seeing as you can choose how dark you want to go, and the line is so crisp and clear and defined. You can make your eyes overly dramatic, or a simple little bit can be put on.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone. It is simply amazing, and lasts all day, with absolutely no colour fade at all for me. The application is simple, the bottle that it is in is really nice and user friendly, too. Overall, a really good product that I most definitely will be purchasing again.

I love Revlon and usually colorstay is amazing. I don't really like the consistency of this liner. It's too think and doesn't apply well. I feel like i have to press really hard to make it go on my skin. Interesting packaging though, would be good for your purse or on the go.
If you're looking for a good, really cheap liner, i recommend the ELF cream liner: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=127720/Cream-Eyeliner---All-Colors/E.L.F./Eyeliner
This is an average gel liner that I would probably not buy again.
I agree with other reviewers that the pigment is not very strong. I have black and it looks more charcoal. The consistency is not super smooth and flakes. And I am not a fan of the packaging - the pot is a bit too deep to get a good amount on your brush, and the brush itself is not very good.
This is my second time trying a drugstore brand of gel liner (the other being Maybelline), and I would definitely spend a bit more for MAC or Clinique.
