At last - an Aldi skincare product that doesn't stink to high heaven!!! This is a light feeling chemical sunscreen protecting against UVA and UVB rays with added Vitamin E. It has virtually no fragrance which means all you can really smell are the sunscreen ingredients. It is light, fairly quickly absorbed and doesn't leave my face looking too white or shiny. Active ingredients are:
Homosalate - 80mg/g
Octyl Salicylate - 40mg/g
Methodibenzoylmethane - 40mg/g
Octocrylene - 20mg/g
Price in Australia is $7.99 for a 60 ml pump bottle with a tight fitting lid which means you can carry it in your bag without fear of spilling. The pump bottle can be unscrewed so you can easily get to the last bit in the bottle, and you could even wash and reuse the bottle for something else when you're finished. All in all, excellent value and the only Aldi skincare product I will ever rebuy. For the record, I have sensitive skin when it comes to chemical sunscreens, and I'm fine with this combination of ingredients. This is perfect for people with normal or combination skin. Someone with very dry skin could try a couple of drops of rosehip oil or hydrating serum underneath it. Someone with oily skin might have to blot throughout the day, but that's life, and let's face it, most suncreens are less than perfect on oily skin.
Overall - a winner!!!
Edit - there is a problem with this, it wears very badly over the top of any other serum or moisturiser, no matter how long you have waited in between applying products. Really it pills over anything else. I can only wear it on perfectly clean dry skin, to which no other products have been applied, so I am downgrading my original review.
