By stain they mean STAIN . These things stay on forever. So watch your fingers if you apply it. I put a few dabs of the color from the wand on my lip and spread it out. It gives me a pop of lip color MLBB . I bought this in scarlet. Which looks like blood in the tube!! It's so red ! Will repurchase this . The color fades to a pretty fuchsia, think korres lip butter in rose, after a few hours .unlike a lipstick or other color i don't have to worry about my color coming off when i eat or drink, love it!

I bought Vamp (described as Deep Plum Red) and Trixie (Bright Orange.) What I liked was that for a stain, they didn't give me flakey lips at all. The Trixie applied much more evenly than the Vamp, however, my natural lip color made it straight up red instead of orange. It also wore off without "ring around the lip." I wanted an orange color and it didn't do that for me. The product was good but I am passing it on to my mom. I had a harder time making an even stain with Vamp. It just didn't want to stick to parts of my lips. The color didn't shift on me but it overall just didn't work as well as Trixie. The difficult part was that when I had too much on one part of my lip, it didn't move when I tried to lift the color a little. I tried both balm and desperately baby oil. I guess that's a good sign given that it's supposed to be a stain! Truly you might get a different result but I don't think I will try these again.
