This is a great almost black matte eye shadow. It is a little hard to blend though. I saw someone said they use it for the brows, i think i might try that. This is my go to smudge color for the lower lash line too.

This is a nice cool toned brown shadow that I like to use two ways.

1.)I like to use this as eyeliner on days when I want simple eye makeup.

2.)On days when I want a darker but still natural matte look I pack this is on my lids using my finger (I don't bother using a brush with any of these shadows I find that it just doesn't apply well that way) concentrating it towards my lash line. I use a lighter matte brown in my crease and apply mascara and I'm good to go.

This shade, like all the others I've tried from the line, lasts all day on top of primer. These are the best shadows at the drug store!

I was expecting this to have much better, fuller pigment! It shows up very washed out.. there's not much color to it. I tried applying with a wet eyeshadow wand and then my finger tip and still not what I was hoping for. Forget using a brush on this stuff. Mostly upset that I paid quite a bit for this product when $4 products have worked much better. :( If you want something that last with better color, try the CoverGirl color tattoo eyeshadow. I was much happier with that purchase.

This is my perfect brow filler! In the pan there's a hint of shimmer so at first I was hesitant to use it as a brow powder. But once it's swatched it's a dark matte, cool-toned brown. It's pigmented but not to the point where it makes my eyebrows look fake, and I have no trouble blending it in. And the best part is, it stays on all day, I've also been using it as a liner. And even though I usually stick to black gel liner, this is starting to grow on me as an eyeliner as well. It's a versatile color with good quality and long staying power. It's quickly become a staple in my make up bag.

The shade reminds me a lot of MAC's Brun--a very dark, almost blackened matte brown. The MAC eyeshadow, incidentally, is a bit hard to blend, but I now make good use of it as an eyebrow filler. Continuous Cocoa also doesn't blend as well as the other Infallible eyeshadows, but I find it manageable. It's easier to apply with the fingertip or sponge applicator, and the shade itself is a softer alternative for black when you want to do a smokey eye. It's also considerably easier to apply than Brun, as well as a few bucks cheaper.

Stunning, like the other infallible eyeshadows. Needs to be applied with fingers, definitely not a brush as it won't transfer at all from the brush to lids. Will last all day, super versatile colour and not too sparkly. Gorgeous.

When i saw this eye shadow i immediately thought of NARS eye shadow in coconut grove.Due to the over hype of this product...i bought it. Disappointed on the product. Its beautiful when swatched on the hands but when i use a brush to apply it, the color for some reason doesnt adhere well onto the brush. Due to this color i dont think im going to buy anymore. :/
Plus for one eye shadow its quiet expensive for a drugstore but thats usually how loreal's price their make up.

UPDATE: I have had this for around 5 months now and it's still working wonderfully - it stays on, looks good and hasn't dried up at all :) I said 'yes' to repurchasing, but I actually think this would last me a lifetime (if not for expiration dates).
.
The moment I saw this, I thought I really need it - it was so creamy, pigmented and long lasting. I use this for lining my eyes: I like my eyeliner to be a bit dramatic and quite sharp, but I don't like the look of gel or liquid liner, because it's a bit too harsh. In my opinion, this combines the best qualities of a shadow and a liquid liner: it's long lasting and doesn't smudge, but it as the soft look of a shadow. I like that it doesn't transfer to my lower inner eye rim because I like to have a light liner on there. To sum it up: it does fade a little after many hours, but does not smudge-
.
The consistency is almost like what is called a liquid powder - it almost feels moist, although it's actually dry. This is really creamy, and I was afraid it would make it dry out, but it hasn't - I have had this for about 3 months and haven't noticed any drying. The colour is btw a neutral blackish brown.
.
I definite like this as liner (haven't tried as shadow) and would repurchase for that purpose. I wish L'Oreal would have something I could use as a brow powder though :O I also like the price of this - cheap for such a good quality, BUT: not all of the shadows in this line are equally creamy.

Since purchasing "Continuous Cocoa" I cannot remember the last time I reached for a brown eyeliner pen. I use this as a liner & must apply it wet as it irritates my contacts when applied as a dry liner.
I am amazed at the staying power this has, at night I must use a make-up remover (instead of just a cleanser) in order to get it all off.
This color is perfect for my fair skin and greenish eyes and I like to pair this with "Endless Pearl" shadow so that the liner is the main focal point.
I can justify the cost for this color as I only use it as a liner and it will last a very long time (provided I close it correctly).

This may very well be the only liner I use from now on!!! You know that smokey eyeliner that we all covet but is a PITA to achieve - a coat of liner followed by some shadow to soften the line?? And then sometimes you overdo it and you have to start over because it looks terrible? Piece of cake with Continuous Cocoa. I use the sharp edge of a concealer brush (E.L.F. studio) and it COULD NOT BE EASIER!

The color is deeeep brown, that perfect blend of brown and black. Not too harsh like a true black can be. And get this - it lasted all through my work day and commute (a total of 10 hours).

I know other people have been displeased and to be honest, I haven't tried it as a shadow. But I bought it to be used as a liner and for that it is heaven... :)
