I had been using shower gel over bar soap for at least the past 15 years until this showed up in my January Birchbox. I loved the one ounce sample so much that I ordered the full size (12 ounces) before the sample was even gone (it took about three weeks of daily usage to use up the 1 ounce).

This soap has a lovely, light scent that's not so much pomegranate as it is fancy-shampoo-smell with a dash of fruit. But not smelling like a teenager after a spree at Bath and Body Works is generally a plus in my book.

I have very sensitive skin, and the Archipelago pomegranate soap works well with that- it lathers nicely, doesn't strip, and leaves my skin soft. For such a light scent, the fragrance lingers a bit. Absolutely lovely.
