I bought this foundation to use because I was going on vacation and didnt want to carry liquid foundation with me, its very portable and the brush that it comes with makes application so easy that I can do my entire face in under 4 minutes. This product matched my face perfectly, covered up my flaws and blended on like butter. I'm usually a MAC NC42 and I got an #402 in this product. The product gets used up fairly quickly as well, because there is a significant dip in the product after using it 5-6 times, and I use it sparingly. The coverage is light to medium, and I always top it off with a powder and it stays put with minimum fading until the end of the day. The only downside is the price. I bought it with a 50% off coupon, so I paid $13 for it, otherwise I would never buy it full price. I will buy it again if I get another 50% off coupon. Highly recommend this product if you are traveling.
Horrible looking foundation! And whats more horrible, I got this one in a wrong colour from the counter girl. I went back to the store because it was too yellow toned on my face. She said that all their foundations from this line are a bit yellow toned, because this would be foundations especially for hiding couperose and rosacea. Weird, because I have couperose/rosacea and I looked like I was from another country.
It s heavy, cakey looking when you don't set it with powder. There s a brush that comes with it, which is also horrible because you see the stripes on your face. I think the best way to apply it is with your fingers.
One really good thing is that my face looks better and healthy after using it. So mineral foundations do have great benefits for your skin. Especially when you have rosacea. I think I will search for another colour in the liquid version.
Lasting power is decent, but not great.
The mineral powder I do like.
When I first tried it on, I was very happy as the colour was a perfect match and the finish was flawless. It makes your skin looks so smooth and fine. However, it breaks me out. I couldn't believe it as I thought mineral foundation should be good for your skin. So after all the spots were clear, I tried it on again just to confirm. And with no disappointment, my skin had a terrible break out again! Very disappointed as otherwise I thought it would be a nice product.
I would rate this foundation between a 4 and a 5 in the winter or dry months only!! As far as the summer or humid months go, I would definitely recommend an alternate foundation as the Extra Virgin Minerals Cream Compact Foundation is far too oily and shiny. But I have just started using it for the winter and love it! It does not clog my pores or irritate my eyes. However, I apply the foundation with my finger tips instead of with the brush (the brush results in streaky coverage).
I got this from the recommendation of the sales girls at The Body Shop, who swore it wouldn't clog my pores, but I don't agree and I don't really like it. It goes on streaky and wet and while they say it turns into powder, it sort of feels like that on your hand, but not on your face. I used it in the summer. Bad idea. It made me feel clogged and did not help my breakouts. It gets onto things easily and just feels greasy. I love the compact and the brush is better than most makeup compact brushes, (The Body Shop has great brushes) and I love All-In-One face base, but this just wasn't in the same league. Disappointment. It just sits there. Shame.
I was recommended this compact when I just started to develop combination skin. I am oily in the t-zone, but very dry on the chin and neck area. I also have had a long battle with acne. This is my second day wearing this foundation and I already do not like it. Firstly, coverage is horrible. My acne can be seen right through it, and I may as well not wear makeup at all. Secondly, my nose is a mirror. It is so shiny that right after putting this foundation on, I can run my finger on my nose and there will already be grease present. I don't know if it is just my picky face, but this has not worked as well as I hoped. I will not buy again. This is for people with combination skin with no acne what so ever. I will have to start my search once more, for a suitable foundation.
i got this one to use occasionally- i already had the mineral powder foundation, so thought i would try this one as well! and i must say- this product is good! matches my skin perfectly and doesn't look too cakey! i use my own brush though- the small one that came with it came undone after using it for some time! i got the foundation for my mother and she loved it as well! though i do think i need to moisturise my skin more before putting this one on or it looks a bit flaky after some time!
I did not like this foundation at all. I thought I'd give it a try as I wanted a compact foundation to try. I guess I fell for the special sale they had on so that was a factor in purchasing this. The foundation did not match my skin and it made my skin 100 times oilier. Yes this foundation feels like it will slide off your face and it does not provide much of a coverage. Definitely a bad choice in buy and do not recommend it for anyone with oily skin.
This is the worst foundation I've ever tried, and that is saying a lot since I've tried many. It is very hard to apply without leaving streaks/lines and even with powder on top of it it will slip off your face. It's disgusting, I had it on for 5 minutes and I took it off because it was that bad. The colour didn't match me but even if it did I would have returned it anyway since the product itself is just horrible. The coverage is ok, it was light but buildable I guess. Would not recommend it to anyone, especially if you have even slightly oily skin. My skin doesn't get very oily, only a little on my nose but not enough to affect my choice of makeup.
Am a tad surprised no one likes this product! It worked wonderfully for me. A little goes a long way. The cream compact comes with a brush, however I prefer using my own foundation brush. It has good coverage and gives slightly dewy look. It has lasting power too! Definitely repurchasing!
