I actually like the scent, I think it does smell chocolatey and sweet and that's just my scene. However I don't understand why these butters get so much love. For me, it's a thin layer of sticky just sitting on my skin. It doesn't sink in or deeply hydrate. I put it on one leg and it didn't feel any different from my other dry leg. It's so thinnnn wahhhh I can't stand it. The only plus is the smell so I'll definitely use it up. Yum
This does not smell like any chocolate I've ever come across. It smells very fake and almost like plastic. I had intended to just use it to get rid of it, but notice that it leaves my hands very sticky. None of the other body butters I've used have ever left my skin feeling sticky, but this one definitely does and its kinda gross. Glad this was a freebie during their sale and nothing I actually spent money on. Horrible.
I knew I was gonna buy this body butter the moment I smelled it. As a fan of chocolate I wanted to eat it. I tried it on my legs and it left them really soft. I wouldn't buy it again because my favourite is the vanilla one but I wanted to give it a try and I did like it.
Boy, I am glad MakeUPAlley exists, where you can actually read genuine positive and negative reviews. I once wrote to the Body Shop website mentioning that some of their body butters contained parabens and my message was rejected, as well as another review criticizing one of their body butters. That's why all their body butters got 4/5 stars.
The chocomania smells like a very cheap chocolate, a bit sickly really. Texture is ok, a bit waxy.
Really good for moisturizing; it gives a lovely shine and makes your legs super soft...just like all the body butters from the body shop.
The only reason I wouldn't buy again is because of the smell. It wasn't a bad smell it just didn't smell like chocolate, it smelt more of coconut.
I think I'll try a different flavor when I run out.
Anyone who says this smells like chocolate clearly hadn't had one in their lives. After applying it flakes up. Worst body butter ever.
just bought one of these today to replace the Brazil Nut (which has been reformulated). should have asked for a sample instead of buying one - they were on sale 50% off - otherwise I would not have purchased without testing how it smelled on my skin. BOTTOM LINE - I threw it out less than two hours after purchasing it - a really awful 'under-odour' - if that makes sense to you - some people have described this as like smelly feet & I now know what they mean.
SHAME ON YOU BODY SHOP - YOU HAVE REALLY LET YOUR CUSTOMER BASE DOWN.
I absolutely LOVE chocolate so I decided to get this body butter. I really like the strawberry body butter and I thought this would be even better than that one...I was wrong. I got the mini version of this body butter and it was on sale so it was only 5 dollars but I don't think I would have bought a full size of this for 20 dollars. I like the packaging and I like how you can get every last bit of it out. This didn't smell like chocolate at all to me, it smelt more like some kind of nut like almonds or something. The consistency is so thick that it's hard to get out. When I first opened it up there was condensation on the top because it's so thick. Also when I tried to put this all over my body, all these chunky flakes started forming when I rubbed it in. I won't be repurchasing this and I don't recommend it. It's a shame because I loved the strawberry body butter and I wanted to like this too.
Not crazy about this one.. Personally i can't smell any chocolate in it whatsoever.. It smells like dirty feet.. Plus i don't understand why they are super expensive in Australia especially for a lotion.. Not happy.
This is my fav body butter i fell in love with the scent once i opened it up it didnt smell like true chocolate to me it smelt like coconut and chocolate its a wearable chocolate scent and it lasts for quite some time and the texture was amazing it was thick creamy and buttery i usually apply a nickle sized amount on my knees and elbows during the daytime and during the nightime i apply it all over my body i am obessed with the scent i feel it dies moisturise deeply compared to my shea body butter also from the body shop after a day my problem areas feel baby soft and hydrated i am hopimg that the body shop makes this range permanant cause i feel like i cant live without it the packaging is super cute and the tub is a little unhygenic but it allows you to get every last bit of product definatey going to stock up on these in case they are discontinued.
Thanks for reading my review bye!
