I bought this in Orchid. I'm a little disappointed because it wasn't the color I was expecting. Although, I feel that it's a little hard choosing colors without trying it on. I'm let down by the packaging, it LOOKS cheap. (It kind of is..but..you know, it could look nicer). The color is pretty though, not as vibrant as I wanted but it has a nice color payoff. I feel like it's weird putting it on though. I find that I need to smooth it out with my fingers because the color is concentrated in the middle of the lipstick. I guess I'd buy it again because it's like part chapstick/part lipstick.

I have to say, I like the colors of Shine Attract that I purchased, Guava and Rose Pink. I prefer Guava, however, because it's a bit more neutral than Rose Pink, but both go on very nicely. It does need a couple of reapplies, but the end result for me is worth it!

TERRIBLE. Absolutely TERRIBLE.
When I first got this, I thought it looked pretty cool. I'm used to seeing the mousse lipsticks of Avon, and thought this was new. I figured this must be some sort of matte lipstick with gloss. I got Cherry Pie which is a just bitten red kind of color.
The color is surrounded by this thick, clear, gel that provides the gloss. Which sucks, because when you apply it and you want it all over your lips, you get a glossy shine above your lip line. If you want to try and avoid that, you either need to spread it with your fingers or a lip brush. And that is such a no-no when you're touching up on the go. And what was even more frustrating was that I couldn't complete two hours without having to check myself and touch it up. After half a day, I let it go, and returned to my unbranded lip and cheek stain, which stays on WAY LONGER than that.
This lipstick also taught me what is meant by DRYING. Did Avon advertise this as moisturizing? I'm sorry, but it chapped my lips. After a few minutes of applying, I could feel my lips peeling. Ugh. Will never buy this again. And it is absolutely a WASTE of money.
I couldn't really care less about the packaging, although it looks pretty cheap.

Avon in Australia will be releasing Shine Attract Lipstick (their own version of the 'hybrid' lipstick/gloss) in the 12th campaign this year. The shade I have is Mysterious Mauve and is a heavily pink based purple.
The colour is encapsulated in a clear, gelatinous, fruity scented gloss which provides the shine aspect of the lipstick. The colour can be buildable, but will always contain the sheen and feel of a gloss. I found that lips need to be exfoliated first otherwise the colour will settle into cracks and lines. Shine Attraction also needs to be reapplied during the day to ensure 'shine'.
Worth looking into if you want the rich colour of a lipstick, but prefer the feeling of a gloss.

Firstly, the picture from Avon is very misleadingly photoshopped, it looks like a vivid colour encrusted in a clear crystal cylinder. Wrong, the real product looks nothing like that, the clear gloss part is somewhat dingy yellowish, semi-transparent. To make things worse, the colour part showed up in a narrow strip across the lip, which looks riduclous unless you blend it with the finger or a lipbrush.
Although the postage costs more than the 2 products I purchased from Avon, I did that anyway to make a point.
This got to be the worst-est Avon product I've tried.

Thankfully I got this product for free from ASOS. I wasn't expecting anything and still I was disappointed.
The product is a gimmick. Putting a thick border of gloss around the actual lipstick is just impractical. You just can't really take the lipstick out and put it on, at least not so neatly and effortlessly.
The color is nice and the payoff is good. Well for this lipstick anyway. I don't know the name of the color but it's a red with a pinkish hue.
The smell is okay but the taste is just terrible. It's so chemical and it stays on your mouth forever. Even if this were the most awesome lipstick ever made I would throw it away. The taste is that bad. Also the packaging looks extra cheap. I can't believe Pixiwoo sisters are endorsing this product.

I got a couple of these recently in fuschia and red. I really like them. I knew when I ordered them from my Avon lady (aka mom) that they wouldn't be as opaque as a lipstick but I'm ok with that for a quick bit of color. I honestly really like the scent. I don't know why but I do. It's kinda fruity and doesn't bother me at all. I like that they are not sticky at all and apply easily. Plus, the silver tube is nice as they stand out in my lippie bag.

I bought this because it was being advertised in magazines as a hot new product. I ordered one as soon as it became available. It looked pretty sleek when I opened the tube and viewed the product. The color I purchased was a mauve color. When I put it on my lips it glided on smoothly. It felt nice..not sticky at all to me. However, I was very disappointed because the color doesn't show on the lips. Why give them colors if it is just going to be a clear shiny gloss on the lips. I kept rubbing hard on my lips trying to see if color would emerge, but nope. Nothing came out. I even asked a friend of mine how my lips looked, and she said that they were very shiny and that's all. If I wanted clear cheap gloss, I would've bought an old cheapie like Wet N Wild or something. I paid 6.00 for the Avon one. Not impressed at all and won't buy again, but I'll keep it since I don't believe in throwing money down the drain. Thanks.

I don't have a problem with the packaging or fruity scent of rhe product. but I don't like the clear product that encircles the actually lipcolor of the lipstick. It is weird to me and the color goes unevenly. Trying a clear balm would be cheaper. Avon makes much better lip products than this in their regular line.

I agree with Chickadee - I can't get past the smell of this product. Gorgeous colors - but oh that smell! And I am a major lip products junkie. If I of all people can't stand it - then I don't know how anyone else can either. Yuck. Get your act together Avon. You make way too much money to try & pass this crap off to people & at $9.00 a tube? Get real! continued >>

I ordered one of these in fuchsia flare, and was pleasantly surprised. It does go on pretty sheer, but I really like that. It feels fairly moisturizing, and wears down to a stain after an hour or so. Like others have said, I wouldn't pay full price but would definitely buy more when they're on sale.

I bought two of these lipsticks, one in Nude Attract and one in All Around Russet. Both are slick medium-coverage colors that make my lips feel good and wear for several hours.
I wouldn't pay $9.00 each for these (which is what the regular price is listed as), but at the $4.99 sale price, they're a great value. I like the small diameter of the stick, as I can swipe it on even without a mirror and not have color past the edges of my lips.
I'm tempted to get more of these - they are glossy and sheer, so it makes wearing a deep or bright color a little easier during the day.

For some reason I always expect Avon products to be better - for example, this lipstick is just a gimmick, and I never expect that from Avon. I don't know why - I've fallen for gimmicks from them before. This doesn't go on evenly, it's more of a gloss than a lipstick, and it's not even that shiny. Very meh.

This is probably a great product for those who like a hint of color on their lips. I received a demo in the coral and it just didn't have enough pigment for me, it barely showed up. I did dig a little color out of the center and put it on and I really liked the color. I'd buy that color on it's own but with the clear it just isn't enough for me. I prefer Revlon's Lip Butters.

The packaging looks very pretty and it's a nice idea of AVON's. I might buy the larger version after buying six sample versions. But however, it's not really like a lipstick. It's more like the gel lip gloss-stick from Maybelline or the jelly gloss from High Intensity Pigments from L'Oreal. It's very sheer, has a natural shine, is moisturizing, but is nothing like the brochure, which advertised a more intense, pigmented color and with a lacquer shine finish. Although it doesn't give what it promises, it was still a good purchase.
P.S. Another con, the color in the middle only reached the middle of my lips. I had to blend the color out. It doesn't apply as smoothly and successfully like other lipsticks. I don't think it's really much like an actual lipstick.

I am an Avon rep so I got this as a demo in Wrapped in Raisin. It's more of a gloss or a balm than a lipstick. It's shiny but not a plastic lacquer type of shiny, more of a natural looking shine. It has a fruity melon scent, similar to YSL's Rouge Volupte. But the reason I didn't like this was the flavor. It tastes like chemicals. I thought it may have been something else I was using, but I've been testing it for a few days now, and it tastes horrible, almost like pesticides. I would not even recommend this to my customers. Avon has better lip products than this one.

i really like this. i got in at demo price as i am a rep. i got the shade nude & i will be ordering more of these. they are the perfect blend between a lipstick and lip balm. the pigmentation of the nude was great & buildable. these remind me of the new tinted lip balms that i've been seeing all over the drugstores, like maybelline's baby lips, revlon's lip butters, & the new l'oreal tinted balms. these are hydrating and feel like a balm but with color to it. highly recommend. they aren't as creamy or pigmented as the revlon lip butters, but they are really nice. i like how you can apply this as a balm, without overdoing the color. sophisticated packaging too continued >>

I got a sample bullet of this lipstick in Coral. I actually like it. It's moisturizing and shiny for a lipstick. I'm guessing that's why the reviews below say it isn't, maybe they were expecting a glossy finish like you would get from a lip gloss? No, this is a lipstick with shine and I find it very moisturizing. Colour-wise, it's not a opaque as a lipstick....it's more of a sheer lipstick or a tinted lipbalm. I don't mind this personally, I'm more of a tinted lipbalm kinda girl anyway and this suits me. I find it doesn't have a scent, so there's nothing offensive about it. I think I would buy this again, maybe this time in a mauvy-pink.

I ordered a preview size of the new Avon shine attract so I could try it before deciding to buy a full-size one in an upcoming Campaign.
First of all, the sample was .79 cents with $10 purchase. This sample size is so small, it should have been free with $10 purchase, IMO.
Anyway, I think Avon is very hit or miss, and sadly, this one is a major Miss. I ordered the color Plumberry, which is a very pretty pinky/plum color, and the color is also the only redeeming quality about this stuff. The formula is not shiny at all...not even slightly glossy (why they called it SHINE Attract is beyond me). It has a weird taste and very weird feel on the lips...it's actually very drying. The application is also awkward, because the only bit of color is in the very center surrounded by the clear stuff wrapped around it. The color goes on unevenly and looks strange until you put your lips together to blend it.
In short, I am not going to buy the full size of this item. I'm glad I got to try it out before wasting $6 or whatever the full size price will be. There are much nicer lip products out there for sure.
