So I got talked into by the sales associate at Sally's to try this product. I'm so happy I tried it. I'm just starting into the co-wash thing. This product is wonderful. Lotion like in consistency which makes massaging into my hair effortless. Lovely coconut smell...tropical. Rinses out easily. Leave hair clean and non-greasy. My hair is super soft the next day (I wash my hair at night and airdry).
Only issue is the jar. I transferred it into an empty Hair One pump to keep the water out.
So compared to other co washes that I've tried Loreal and Hair One this is far superior. Plus a bonus in regards to cost. Super cheap.
Still have to try WEN out, but for now this is my HG cowash.
This is the best product to use to co-wash your hair with hands down! It has a nice coconut smell to it. It really aids with softening one's hair during the cleansing process. It provides lots of slip to my hair, which makes detangling a breeze! And, it comes in a nice size 16 ounce container that retails for less than $8.
It has a light yet creamy consistency to it, which makes it totally easy to spread throughout your hair. It hasnever caused ay buildup on my scalp. And it rinses away very nicely the hair, without eaving any residue behind.
This product comes in a screw top container. Which I don't find to best type of pcaging for this particular product. As, you have to be very careful with not getting any water in the container. Instead, I feel that it would be best for the makers of this product to put it in a bottle with either a cap or pump to it.
This product will forever remain a ataple in my hair care regimen.
This product is so perfect for my fine, curly, greasy scalped, dry ended hair. It feels like lotions when you use it and when you rinse it out it feels clean and silky soft. I only wash my scalp and it washes out my ends without drying them out. I don't like the smell but my hair has never retained this much body while being so soft before. And I swear it defines my curls too! I love love love it!
I used As I Am this morning. After I wet my hair and massaged the product on my scalp and onto my hair the wide-tooth comb sailed right through my hair- and that's no small feat- my hair is THICK, long and wavy. It's not uncommon for me to get tired of trying to comb out knots and just cut them out.
My hairdresser forgives me for the chopped chunks of hair she finds...
.
My hair is completely dry now and is is amazingly soft! I can run my fingers through it without snagging and I have nice, shiny curls without massive frizz! ( I was out in misty rain earlier, so that probably didn't help any) The coconut smell was there, but it seemed to dissipate as it dried.
I may straighten my hair tonight (using One and Only Mist for heat protection) I'll post an update on how it looks straight.
The packaging is not the best as it is not convenient for me to use in the shower, however it is excellent for what it does to my hair. It has a creamy consistency and smelled tropical. I took two tiny scoopfuls and applied to my scalp first, making sure to massage the product in. If I needed more, I took another scoopful with my fingers working it down to the ends of my hair. I rinsed and immediately I could feel that my hair was clean and my curls begin to become defined. A good sign that the product is working for me. This will not remove heavy styling products, so you may want to try something else. At first I thought that my hair needed conditioner, but I decided that I would let it air dry and judge the results. My hair dried less frizzy and shiny with a good texture and softness. I was very surprised. I bought this at Sally's, but you can also get it at Target or Walgreens. For those that cowash or didn't have success with Hair One, give this a try.
This was my first cowash purchase, so I couldn't compare it until I tried the new L'Oreal EverCreme cleansing conditioner, and I realized how much you get for your dollar here. The tub packaging isn't the best, but at least I can get what I need without endlessly pumping (I have very long hair). I still need to shampoo at least once a week, but this works in the interim. I have noticed that since starting this, I lose much less hair when I comb it out in the shower, and it feel stronger and less dry overall, so i'm very happy with it! And it definitely cleans my hair better than other cowashes but still not as well as shampoo, so I switch off between this and a sulfate-free shampoo. Will definitely repurchase.
I had never heard of this product before but when I went to get a new bottle of Hair One the girl at Sally's talked me into this product. At $6 for 16oz I thought it was a steal! It smells amazing. But the product itself is not that great. It didn't really feel like it washed my hair it still had a greasy film on it. When I use Hair One I'm able to go 3-4 days without needing to wash again with this I need to wash the next day. The package is not very practical either the whole time I was using it I was worried water was flooding into the product because its a tub. I know I might be insane with this but my hair feels dryer than before I used this. I will not buy again.

Before trying any new hair product I always use a clarifying shampoo so the product in question has a fair chance. So the next morning I tried this little gem and fell in love. It gave my hair incredible slip to detangle and conditioned my hair quite nicely. I've since gone thru 3 tubs of it and have six more on standby since I always manage to catch them on sale at Sally's Beauty Supply. As far as removing product buildup....yes it does a decent job but not for those times when its super heavy. Then you have to reach for the good fashion clarifying shampoo. For $8 bucks I find it reasonably price in comparison to what I was paying for before and it did nothing for my hair but tangle it up and flair up my husbands asthma.

I originally bought this for my husband who has fine very curly, kinky, dry hair and he co-washes. He hated the scent, so I tried it, and I have never tried co-washing before. My hair is straight and tends to be oily roots/dry ends. I really like the results, my hair is soft, my oily roots are less so, meaning I can go an extra day without washing, but I have had to use a clarifier after about a week. Love the smell, wish it lasted, but it doesn't. Cost about $6 at Sally's. It seems to be in the "ethnic" hair section, works great for me! By the way, DH uses Hair One from Sally's and loves it, he says no difference between this and Wen's (except price!)
I can honestly say this is amazing! It doesn't remove my hairspray, but it does well as a second wash. It doesn't strip my hair like regular shampoo. I use a lot of hairspray, so I wash it out with a different shampoo then I follow up with this. It's ultra moisturizing and my damaged hair really appreciates this! I skipped it the other night, regretted it, so I immediately washed with this and my hair felt great again! Good stuff!!
