My 4th color tattoo product, and I think it's great but not the best. I find my pot of Too Cool to be creamy and soft compared to the other colors in this line, so I'm not sure why there is such a big variation in formul between different pots. Compared to Tough as Taupe (matte grey-taupe) and Pomegranate Punk (shimmery red-violet), this color was less pigmented, so you need to layer it to get a good intensity. It's also a bit streaky so I have a hard time applying it evenly with both fingers and a brush (TaT and PP did not have this problem).

The true color of this product is a shimmery, pale white which I find looks a bit odd alone, so I usually use it underneath my powder eyeshadows to bring out the colors. (It will never get to be the opaque, dense white that Nyx's Milk pencil can be, so keep that in mind. This will noticeable lighten your eyeshadow but it won't make them "pop".) There is some noticeable glitter in this color which I could do without, but the fallout is minimal and the glitter does bring a nice punch to any colored e/s you add on top. (Fallout is a bigger issue with Bold Gold, which is VERY glittery.)

Lasting power was just as good as the other Tattoo colors, which is to say that it's very long lasting even without primer! Overall, good product but not as useful (or opaque) as I was hoping it to be.

I picked up this after trying Bold Gold and Tough as Taupe, hoping for a good white base to make my lighter shadows pop, and boy does this work! I have always fallen back on using NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk as a white base, but it can be chalky and hard to work with, and it more prone to creasing even with UDPP under it. I find that this still lasts longer with just a smidge of UDPP under it, but after that it doesn't budge. It works beautifully with light colors layered on top - it made MAC's Beautiful Iris pop like crazy!!

Perfect gentle blue-white base or wash, which can be built up. Too Cool seems slightly drier than the other Tattoos I have (Tough as Taupe/Audacious Asphalt). I find it preferable - it's easier to build up the intensity than have to take it down, especially with a pale colour. There is a slight opalescence to this shade which is enhanced with blue/green shadows or liners. Quick, easy and pretty!

All I can say is... Wow, these color tattoos are seriously amazing! By far the most long-lasting cream shadow I've ever used. Even without primer, these babies don't crease or budge a bit. That being said, I do have some slightly negative things to say about this product. First of all, it sets rather quickly, and once it sets, there is no way you can blend it out; It ain't moving! Also, these color tattoos aren't that buildable either. It's impossible to build up the color to match the shade in the pan.

Ever since the Cover Girl Luminescence products of my early teens, I've been looking for that perfect opal-y sheen of color for eyes and lips... this really comes close! It's a cool silver with an almost blueness to it. Very nice tapped along the lashline over a thin line of eyeliner. Must use primer, but it WILL stay on if you do.

This color looked too boring for me to try out originally. Its a traditional pale white with silver shimmer, that I felt I could easily get with any drugstore white on top of my UD primer potion. But I finally gave in to it & decided to find other ways besides using it as a base. I now use it to highlight my eyebrow arch & the center of my lips on top of lipsticks so they appear fuller. No plain powder eyeshadow could give such long lasting results in a single step! IMHO it would be too obvious to highlight cheekbones with, but for small areas that you want to make a statement pop i.e. inner tear duct, cupids bow---its perfect. Also you can place on the middle of your eyelids to any color to brighten up the whole look. I can't imagine NOT picking this up for atleast 1 area (if not more) daily! Just like the popular tough as taupe, bad to the bronze & bold gold this is a multi-purpose universal mUSt!! continued >>

3.5 stars. I was a pretty disappointed actually! I wanted to find something not necessarily to replace my mac paint pot in bare study, but if I could find a cheaper alternative why not? I was really excited to try this. Too Cool and Tough as Taupe are the only ones I was interested in out of all the shades. First off they are more pigmented than paint pots (at least the two that I have, bare study and rubenesque), however texture wise this was horrible. I'm surprised no one mentioned this, but the consistency of the cream shadow is very patchy! I immediately swatched it after I got home and found the shadow to be hard to the touch and not at all creamy. I swirled my finger in it once, and on my finger there were some parts that had picked up larger chunks than others. Consequently when swatched on my hand, the color was also inconsistently spread out, and I really had to rub it to evenly distribute. At first I thought it might just be the top layer of the product that was like that, but even after many uses the shadows texture did not improve. That being said, I still use the product and like it, it just requires more blending and work. It's a shame for the texture too because I really love wearing a layer of light color across my lid with eyeliner and mascara, and this seemed perfect. On the plus side you can wear it like I do which is a light wash that gives a shimmery pale sheen, or really layer it on so it gives you that stark white that you see in the pot. This definitely does NOT crease for a good 8 hours. Even with UDPP ALONE, after 8hrs or so the inner part of my lid will crease a bit. Whether alone or as a base for other shadows, this didn't crease one bit! I'm hoping I just got a faulty one because I will definitely repurchase! Points were only docked off for consistency.

One of my favourite eye products yet, and I'm a recovering MAC addict. I bought it on a whim while shopping at Walmart, and for $7 I figured it would be worth a shot. I have searched all over for that perfect pale shimmery white eyelid and brow/eye highlighter and have finally found it. On its own this cream shadow applies easily and after a coat or two my eyes look brighter and bigger. It lasts all day, and I don't need to touch it up or worry about it fading. I usually blend black eyeliner close to my top lid to accentuate my lashes, and this shadow works perfectly to create that contrast. It looks great on the brow and duct as a highlighter with smoky or cat eyes as well. I love this product's versatility and cost, I went back and bought the grey shade and will acquire the gold range as well.
A very useful and long lasting shadow, perfect for me as I don't always have time to go through all the steps of priming and layering, though this shade works well combined with any eye look. The only downside is the pot itself, as it may not be as sanitary as possible. Always wash your hands well if you use your finger to apply and blend it. I find it applies best this way instead of with a sponge-tip applicator or brush.

Love love love this product! Shimmery white, if you want it opaque you need a couple of coats. GREAT as a highlighter or accent, or just on its own.
No creasing or fading.
Have since gone back and purchased all of these, they are wonderful!

I have never reviewed anything before, but this eyeshadow is so impressive, I'm taking the time to let everyone know. I bought Bold Gold and not only is it easy to apply (although I usually use 2 coats), but any powdered eyeshadow you use on top of it stays put as well. Now it seems to be sold out everywhere (even on the Maybelline website) so I'll have to wait to get more colors. This is as good as any expensive cream eyeshadow I've bought at Sephora (Make up Forever, Smashbox, etc.) and it's only $7!!

Pretty impressed for $6.94 at Wmart.
This lasted 12 hours w/o primer, minimal gathering in the folds.
Sheer white with microglitter. Makes a good wash or base for a nice clean look.
Would compare to NYX Milk but Too Cool is drier and less 'greasy' and lasts a lot longer without primer.
Brightens up my eye area without accentuating crinkles. Not too much glitter either.

If you like NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk or Cottage Cheese, you will LOVE this! I like to use NYX Milk to add pop to my shadows, and it works well, however tends to fade over time. This keeps the vibrancy of the shadow all day long! Great product and I want to check out the gold color next!

Ok so I was looking for a silver cream shadow at MUFE over the christmas time and almost bought it. Im glad I waited because Maybelline Too Cool is just the color for me. I have been using Tarte Silver Sheen eyeshadow in for quite sometime, and needed a replacement. This works perfectly as a silver or a white, and stays well for about 5 hours for me. This has the least staying power in the Color Tattoo line perhaps because its probably the most sheeriest shimmer wash. And out of all the colors in the color Tattoo line my favorites are the neutral shades: Bad to the bronze, Bold Gold, and this one Tool Cool. If you are torn between too cool, Taupe and Aspahalt, Get the Too Cool, you can use this as a all over lid color or for highlighting, (Im taupe and asphalt Im thinking of returning as they dont dont do much for my warm skintone). This line definitely needs a beige or pinkish beige color offering.
My only concern is about this color tattoo line is how fast do these dry out? my stila, elf, and smashbox cream shadows have all dried out in a matter of time. The only brand that didnt dry out was the Tarte.

My least favorite color of the six colors I have yet I totally need it. I like a lighter color on parts of my lids and all the other colors are too dark. I mix this with a different color between my fingers and it blends to give me a lighter color. Still this white is not as smooth and really glittery and entirely too cool toned for me. Until Maybelline comes out with a shimmery nude or peach (that would be SO awesome) then this will have to do. I'm not happy about it, but its worth it for the lasting power alone.
So basically I really dislike it, but I need it....for now.
As far as wear, normal eyeshadow with a really good primer might last a few hours. I started hair spraying my lids after eyeshadow application and it started lasting 6 hours or so. I've tried other cream shadows and the would crease almost immediately. THESE however don't budge...at all. I can get 18 hours no problem before I wash off for the night. And While I might have some foundation on my lids before hand, I haven't tried them with primer.

Wow I am really shocked how well these live up to the long lasting claim. I mean I wouldn't wear makeup for a straight 24 hours but I did put it to the test...super sweaty workout. I put this stuff on right before going to the gym just to test it out a little and when I was done it looked perfect! No creasing or fading at all! So yeah I would say it was worth the $6.99 and I will go back for a few more colors. I can't wait to see if they expand the color range too :)

I love this product! I do not own a paint pot or a nyx jumbo pencil so I honestly can't compare it, but the consistency and pay off is just wonderful. I'm not completely sure about wearing and creasing, but judging by how long the swatch has stayed on the back of my hand (all day), I know I won't be disappointed and neither will you!

I just started into the more high end makeup products, but I couldn't pass this up at the store. I was really attracted to the look of it, it's sleek and doesn't feel cheap like many of the drugstore eyeshadows on the market. I love urban decay's eyeshadow's and this definetly rivals the quality. Been wearing this shade alone all day, no creasing or transfer. The application was quite easy, no tugging and it really looks much more dramatic on than in the pot. Cost was sort of high, especially after looking at it sideways and realizing that the bottom half has no makeup in it, but I will definetly use this as a mainstay to my daily makeup routine.
