I put this product on with a flat synthetic brush. I could use my fingers, but I'd need to scoop it out with a scoopula since my nails are too long for me to rub the pad of my finger & pick up product in the small jar opening. I'd call this a dry cream. It's not truly creamy, but it's also not cakey. You take a little and blend it on & then take a little more & so on. I haven't been able to just load my brush once & cover my lid. This leaves a shiny finish which accentuates any creases you have on your eye lid. It's tacky for a little while so if you want to add powder on top & use this product to hold it, then work fast. When it dries it's dry and lasts until I remove it. I enjoy using it for it's long lasting formula & I also like the color. I've heard more than once that some are too dry to use & all I can think it either that particular jar wasn't sealed well or the seal became loose during shipping. If you get a dry, unuseable one, then I would return it & buy another somewhere else in hopes that this batch was sealed properly. I shut mine tightly after use.
I just got this and I am in love!!!! Reds and pinks often look a bit awful on my blue eyes with pale skin. The red/punks tend to make look sick or like I've been crying. This shade, however, is perfect! Lasts forever on my oily lids and looks stunning
I agree with other reviewers that the name of this shadow is quite misleading, it's a burnt, reddish brown that applies very sheer and is not pomegranate-esque at all. Hands down my HG eyeshadow of the moment for an all over wash of color on my lids, I spread it on with my fingertips and go! Looks beautiful with a deeper brown in the crease for added definition I like pairing it with UD smog, black winged liner and some mascara. The shade is matte but still dewy with some satin to it and I like that there isn't any tacky glitter as that's not a good look for professional settings. Ill repurchase even though color tattoos tend to last ages since you only need a tiny amount to get payoff.
I've already reviewed the line as a whole, but this is my favourite colour out of every single eyeshadow I own, so I felt I had to review it.
This is a beautiful colour. It's a rusty, reddish sort of brown. The colour can change depending on how much product you apply. I see this becoming a staple in my eye makeup routine, this makes a grunge/goth/alternative look very quick and easy. Pair this with some eyeliner and you're set!
I highly recommend this.
Awsome. Dosn't smudge or crease and the colour is just amazing. It's so sophisticated. When I purchased it, I expected it to be more of a redish tone but it's actually more brown than red. It's super pretty. You can mix this with bad on bronze before it sets for a different look. I love this.
Holy cow I adore this shade! Pomegranate Punk is just what it says- it's a pomegranate/rusty shade that looks fabulous with blue eyes! The texture is creamy and I simply use my finger to apply this to the lids. Probably the only perk of having dry skin like myself is I can use this as a base on the lids without an eye primer underneath without creasing/fading throughout the day. These color tattoos means business and stay on foreverrr! I love putting Pomegranate Punk as a base and a gold shadow on the lid with a dark brown eyeliner and it creates a beautiful smokey eye/night out look! I haven't found any problems with the packaging so far, and for the price of around $5 I think everyone should check this gem out!
Well the pigmentation is awesome! you can make the eyeshadow apply light or really dark( more pigmented) depending on the look your going for. The colors are really stunning and have great tones and shimmers. The pomegranate punk color specifically is beautiful and has lovely gold undertones As far as blending goes it blends really well. The staying power could be better though. i use urban decays primer potion under it but still it doesn't last long. But all in all this eyeshadow is aweesome!
First off, I love these. They are so good and last all day and don`t crease. I picked this one up at target because it was on sale and I ended up loving it! I feel like it gives off more color than "bad to the bronze" because I feel like that one is very shimmery. but it is the perfect crease color and It is also just great as an all over the lid color. It will last me very long and doesn`t dry out nearly as fast as the MAC paintpots. It is definatly a good investment!
* note: sorry In advance for the long review, I try to be as detailed as possible to help other members get a good understanding of the product :-)*
Ok so these are one of my favourite products in my makeup collection. They are so easy to apply and just are simply amazing.
SHADE/COLOUR SPECIFIC REVIEW: this is one of my favourite colours of the collection, it is a deep earthy purple. I think this colour also looks great paired with bad to the bronze. It has a beautiful metallic finish without the look of chunky glitter
APPLICATION: for a cream eyeshadow these are EXTREMELY easy to apply. Although you can use a brush, if it is for personal use I recommend using your finger as it is way easier to apply it that way and it takes very little time, giving you a simple, even application.
AVAILABILITY: These are usually well stocked in most stores and are available in pretty much every store that sells "drugstore" makeup, eg: Target, Wal-Mart, Shoppers Drug Mart, London Drugs, etc. Some specific colours I have found are very popular and run out fast though eg: Barely Branded, Bad To the Bronze, and Inked in Pink. I would recommend if you see these colours and are interested to pick them up as you see them.
FUNCTIONALITY: these are so easy and functional to use. The product contains 4g of product and it goes a LONG way. For reference I use my barely branded eyeshadow daily and it lasts me months. Also if you put your finger in the product one dab or finger (if that makes sense :-P) is enough for the whole eye. And they are sweat and oil proof.
PACKAGING: I love, love, love, the packaging of these. It is super sleek and sanitary. And an added plus if you have a large makeup collection like me and have to make the most out of your storage they store really nicely. If you use the long narrow bins that fit the mac blushes or other circle shaped shadows these fit PERFECTLY in them the only thing I would recommend is labelling the side of the product if you have a few of them so they are easier to identify because otherwise you may have to go through a few until you find what your looking for
PRICE: the price of these can vary quite a bit where I live (Canada). They are most usually though anywhere between $4.99 CAN and $6.99 CAN. Depending on the sale schedule. It is quite rare for me th8ugh to see them for $4.99 so I would recommend stocking up when they are that price like I do ;-) :-P
WEAR-ABILITY / LONGEVITY: These products come in so many different colours for every different skin tone. They also have amazing lasting abilities on the eyelid (even for people with oily lids) they also Work great as bases, so if you are trying to get makeup that is a little more budget friendly these are perfect because they eliminate the need for other products.
Not too mention they last all day so by eliminating touch ups you are using less product thus saving money and making the product go further
OVERALL: this is a great "high end" product at a "low end" price that works for all people of all skin types and tones
*thankyou for reading through my long review and hopefully I was able to help you :-P :-) if you have any questions about this product or certain shades PLEASE feel free to message me. Also feel free to message me if you have any other review requests or questions about certain products as I collect makeup and have a big collection and am going through to review other products in my collection* <3
My favourite of the Colour Tattoos that I have. This colour is a good plum-pink, applies very smoothly and is easy to blend or smoke out on lids. Good for everyday or dramatic looks. Not too overpoweringly shimmery either.
