Especially Escada was surprisingly nice! This is a great fragrance for any age, but would be most popular among the under 25 crowd.
Generally I am drawn to more complex fragrances. This is the ideal light, fresh, summery fragrance.
It is along the same lines as D&G L'imperatrice #3 (closest resemblance, almost identical), Burberry Brit Sheer, Serge Lutens L'eau, and even D&G Light Blue.
The packaging is not very practical at all. Nice to look at, but not for carrying in your purse. (Note to self: buy more Travalos)
The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the same reason all the other comparisons don't : poor longevity. These all have to been worn like a body spray, repeated application throughout the day. But I LOVE this one, so I spray it on my clothes too. It lasts alot longer that way. continued >>

I like this scent but nothing really special about it, smell like everything else to me. I also think that this perfume doesn't last on me.
LOVE this perfume, finally sweet meet citrus/floral in the absolute perfect balance. I have been in a perfume funk recently as years of my staples (Dior Cherie, Viva La Juicy, Burberry Brit, etc) have me bored and looking for a new unique scent that is awesome for day or night. I had smelled so many scents at sephora and they all were either too sharp floral or sickly sweet. Was suprised how much I liked this one especially being Escada as honestly have never been a fan of this brand. I have bought the bottle edt LE scents that come out every summer when I was younger. They smelled fruity and fun but honestly were nothing better than cheap body spray you can buy at the mall at the cost of a perfume which just wasn't worth the value for me. Especially Escada however is really quality perfume status. I got the 1oz to try out for a few months and will see if it becomes a permanent staple. I do love the sleek modern fendi type packaging as well. Worth trying to say the least! :)

I like Especially, its main notes are Rose accompanied by Pear, now if you like the two combinations you will like this fragrance, it ends up in an ambrette drydown somewhat musky woodsy but in a fresher way. I don't know why Especially has a bad wrap perhaps it does not last long on some skin chemistry's or, I even seen a review about the name,Well I don't know what name it really deserves but its not only all about the name here with Especially, Given that names are just spoken and not characterized, imagine if we were by our names as humans.... just a thought, I just know that its a decent perfume for the price. If you like Floral and fruit mix, I think you will like this one.

I’m really glad that I got a sample of this since I was curious and possibly something I would repurchase. This perfume goes in the same category as Kate Spade Twirl, a nice fragrance but nothing special. Also, at times I felt like the Rose note was a little too strong. I will not purchase.

I got this in a sample size, and it is so delicious I can't wait to buy a giant bottle!! It definitely has 'signature scent' potential!! could this be the one I have waited for my whole life?? :D
I had to take a lippie off because this stuff has no staying power at all which is sad because I love the scent. I should stick with bond no 9 perfumes for staying power..
*Edit: so I am taking another lippie off for staying power. I bought a big bottle and it's almost empty. I have to use a ton to even smell it and it just wears off so fast :( sad because I loved it. I also changed my buy again, to 'no' because I wouldn't buy this watery perfume again :(
Smells light, floral, and pleasant. Nothing too special about this fragrance. I guess if you want something simple and floral, this is your go to perfume. I have higher expectations with perfume because I own so many floral scented fragrances, that this just doesn't stand out from the crowd. In fact, it reminds me of Pantene Pro V shampoos. Not that it stinks, just that I don't want to walk around smelling like shampoo the whole day. Staying power is so-so, will not last the whole day.

I got a sample spritzer of this. I typically like deeper scents than what Escada has to offer, but this was a sample and I adore trying new scents. When you first spray it there's a definite "perfume" note, which I guess is the rose (it doesn't read as rose, but as a very traditional perfumey note. It's got a lot of warmth to it, and I distinctly smell a slightly bitter orange note. Like orange with zest or something. Overall I'd call it traditional mom perfume with a very strong orange kick. If you like Clinique Happy, you might like this. They aren't the same by any means, but are similar in a lot of ways.
It smells nice, but it isn't very "me" and it gave me a headache after awhile because it's sort of cloying.
The name of this fragrance is on my personal list of Top 10 Stupid Names for Fragrance. Imagine this conversation:
"You smell good, what are you wearing?"
"Thanks, I'm wearing Especially."
"Huh?"
"Especially. By Escada. Especially Escada."
"Oh..."
The name is almost as bad as "Pretty Hot", except it makes less sense.
That aside this fragrance is lovely! Had I not been sent sample bottles, I would never have tried it. Escada fragrances lost my interest over a decade ago, and I usually associate them with the girls in my son's junior high school. Far be it from me to resist spraying a sample bottle from Sephora...and was I ever surprised with Especially! (Doesn't that sound silly?) Especially is a fresh, crisp rose-based fragrance with ylang-ylang and musk. It claims to have pear, and that may be the note that causes me to think of "crispness", but this doesn't smell at all like a jar of mashed baby food, like many other pear scents. If any scent deserves an adjective like "sparkling", this one does. It sparkles with rose the way YSL Paris sparkles with rose. Don't let the "rose" scare you, though. There's nothing, absolutely nothing, musty, or rosewatery about this scent. It's a very happy fragrance, that's perfect for work or play. This has the best lasting power of any fragrance I've tried in years, and it's excellent. It's just a great fragrance overall.
