love love love this lip butter. Before buying this i had been searching for topshops 'on the town' but sadly it was sold out on the website. when seeing the lip butter advert and the wide variety of colours available, i went into the nearest department store to give it a try. so glad i did, perfect for a casual day out or an evening event.

Gum Drop is a very cool toned, light lilac. It is a dupe of Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Lilac Pastelle. However I pull Gum Drop off a lot better on my pale, warm toned skin as it is sheerer to adjust. Lip Butters are very moisturizing & tend to have a long wear. continued >>

I love this lip butters line but this shade is absolutely wretched on me. On me it is a tacky, shimmery lilac kind of color and it totally mutes out my lip tone. Awful, awful shade.

I love this lip butter, it moisturizes really well, goes on smooth. The lasting power is nothing to write home about but most products don't stay very long I tend to have very dry lips from using Retin A. I'm a NW25 with black hair and green eyes and I love the light purple with my green eyes. Sugared icing is nice as well but this my favorite.

First off im NW25 and I love this color. Its gorgeous. When I first put it on it looks amazing. It feels buttery smooth. But i dont see how this lasts for hours on people. Id say a hour later its gone.. no color. and I tried a MAC liner underneath.. nope. had to reapply over and over. I probably wouldnt repurchase just because I work at a bank I dont have time to touch ups.

I was really loving the lilac lip trend, althought it doesn't look good on 95% of ppl I see wearing it.
I bought this hoping it will give my lips a slight lilac tint. and that is exactly what this does. one swipe, and I have a gentle, light purple tint. it's moisturizing so it doesnt accentuate flakes and scars.
this is very light, so it can look differently on everyone. I have very pigmented lips with a rosy pink cool undertone.
it's perfect for a little unexpected and effortless oomph for me.

It has great pigmentation, texture, and subtle shine on the lips. However, the coolness of the color emphasizes my yellow undertone way too much. I can only pull this off on my paler days or else I appear sallow in comparison. :(

This is the best colour out of everything I own (I own & of them). I never thought I could pull this off since the lilac colour (I bought it only for the sake of collecting and trying out). I wasn't expecting much but I applied it and I fell in love!!
I am asian NC30-5 with pigmented lips and this turns out to be warm pinky-milky colour on the lips.
Not to mention the gorgeous tube colour and the yummy vanilla smell that I can't stop smelling. Definitely worth a try (i think it'll be harder to pull this off if you are dark-skinned), if you don't like it why not? It'll also look gorgeous on your vanity table :D continued >>

Yes, this is a lip butter so automatically, it'll feel good on your lips (hydrating, sheer, glossy, etc) but this color just did not look good on me. Even with its sheer application, it left behind a weird, ghostly paleness to my lips that looked nothing like how I expected it to be from the color of the tube. And the glitters were really obvious in this lipstick.

Love this. Perfect pale milky baby pink. This doesn't give much color payoff but it has enough that you can tell I'm wearing some sort of lip color. Very cute lilac packaging and actual color of the balm. Moisturizing and pretty color. Love!

This stuff is gorgeous; shimmery, not frosty. The pale lilac shade is subtle and demure. The color is sumptuous and utterly feminine; it enhances but does not scream "too much". Stays on pretty well and actually does seem to soothe and smooth lips. The plastic case isn't exactly classy, but it's fun. For reference, I'm cool-fair with light eyes and light/medium brown hair, but I think Gumdrop would flatter on most skintones. I plan to buy a backup.

Yay! Drugstore score! I heard so much about these, I had to try. I saw a blog on this color, and she wrote it off as having no color, but on my medium pigmented lips and fair skin, this is the PERFECT milky yet sheer blue based pink. Think of MAC's Pervette without the frost and more opacity, It's the perfect baby pink on me, without looking too whitish or too pink. The texture is awesome-most opaques eventually settle into my lip lines, but this stays put and is not super sticky. It also lasts longer then the usual lip "butters". It has a glossy texture, but not enough to look greasy or messy, and it makes my lips look huge and moist...I didn't notice any obvious sparkles or shimmer, so If they are in there, they are minimal. Just juicy plumping color. I'll be getting more of these..

Gumdrop is a cute lilac shade with some shimmer. From the lip butters I collected, this particular shade was a bit more moisturizing than other shades. This color is semi-sheer, but swiping a few times will make it opaque. My lips are not pigmented so this shade shows up pretty well. What I really like about this shade is that I can pair up Gumdrop with another pink color to make it pop! :]
- Gumdrop is also the exact color of Revlon's Super Lustrous lip gloss in Lilac Pastel (if anyone was curious).

I am IN LOVE with this shade. I have very pigmented lips and trying to acheive that "baby pink" look usually requires an opaque creme forumla lipstick, and a coating of gloss. This however tones down the pigment in my lips and I'm left with a baby pink shade that I have always wanted. Although it could be a bit more moisturizing, I am not gonna complain as the end result is amazing. I have already stocked up on these and keep one in my car, handbag, and son's diaper bag!

As i've said before, i am a total pushover for violet-colored cosmetics. I was in no rush to pick up one of these "Lip Butters", but when i saw this color, well, the deal was sealed.
.
When i got it home i was afraid it would be a sheer tinted lip treatment, but it goes on like a lipstick. Maybe i'm hallucinating again, but i get a very faint whiff of vanilla - and the ingredient list does say "fragrance". Gumdrop is a pale orchid leaning a little toward blue-violet. On me it isn't too too pale. I was surprised both by its opacity and that it had more than a bit of sparkle. It doesn't seem more moisturizing than other lipsticks i own, but that's OK with me, as i am not a lip balm addict. From what i've read, some of these lip butters are sheer, but this one is definitely not. I just LOVE colors like this.

I find the name of these products misleading as they are not particularly moisturizing, but the texture is really thick. Gumdrop is a light lilac color with a hint of shimmer. I find that even on my very warm skin it looks quite nice. It's fairly pigmented, and I can get a good color with only a few swipes. I would call this item a lipstick more than a tinted lip balm or any other moisturizing product as it doesn't make my lips feel dry, but I don't feel that they're conditioned when I wear it either. The color lasts on my lips for a few hours, and I'd guess that's because of the thickness. I really like this product; I just don't understand why it's called a "lip butter".

I decided to get this color because I originally got Cotton Candy and that one did not show on me at all. This one has more color to it. It looks purplish pink in the package but this is a good shade if you're tan or even darker skin. It has enough color to it that doesn't make you look like a barbie.
I wouldn't buy this again just because there is nothing special about this at all.
