I tried Brown Sugar first and it was not quite dark enough for my liking. I wanted something with a little bit of tint. At first I thought fig jam looked a little too dark in the container, however there was a bogo sale on the lip butters so why not? I am so glad I did! I wear this almost everyday. It's the perfect touch of color

HG lip color on my medium warm-neutral coloring and looks really classy besides. Lots of ways to wear this. Sheer swipe during the day for just a hint of brick brownish red, apply it heavier or over lip liner pencil that's been applied to entire lips - deepens color and adds a bit of staying power. I love the FEEL of the lip butter - it's very moisturizing without being greasy at all. I've already bought a back-up of this. Revlon's got a winner with these hybrid lipstick/balm products and excellent color selection too. There's bound to be something nearly everyone likes!

I. Love. This.
It works surprisingly well with my skin tone (extremely fair and cool toned). It doesn't turn orangey on me at all, more like a sheer vampy brown-berry (exactly what I was hoping for). I was drawn to this lip butter immediately because I have a big fetish for 90's style brownish tinted lip colors. I wish the lip butters were a tiny bit more moisturizing though.

One of my favorites of the Lip Butter colors!
For reference I have fair skin (second to lightest usually), reddish brown hair, brown eyes, pigmented lips (so I usually like the darker lip colors - I like Red Velvet also)...
This color is very wearable - it's kind of a sheer YLLB brown-toned lip balm.

Looks scary dark brown in the tube, but when lightly swiped on the lips, it turns a gorgeous brickish reddish color that is lovely for everyday! I will be repurchasing for sure! I knocked off a lippy for the texture of the lip butter, how soft it is, and how it winds up very misshapen after a few applications. I don't get the comparisons to Clinique's Black Honey lipstick, which to me is more of a winey/purplely/burgandy hue then bricky red, but to each his own.

I really though this wouldn't work with my fair, coo skin tone, but it looks really good. I really like that these are not opaque, and thus more wearable than a lipstick in this color would be. Pretty shade.
I do love all the Revlon lip butters for my older lips.
They are moisturizing for me, don't feel like I am wearing lipstick (don't feel heavy). Biggest down side is frequent reapplication - lousy weartime, but
i am okay with that,

This is similar to Cover Girl Natureluxe gloss balm in Clove. However, it is more waxy and closer to a lipstick than a balm. Cover Girl Clove has a touch of sparkle that this does not contain. Lip Butter seems slightly more moisturizing and lasts somewhat longer than does the Cover Girl balm. The color is pigmented but not glaring. I think both these products are knock-offs on Clinque's Black Honey Almost Lipstick. Between the two, I think I like the Fig Jam best for repurchase.

I love RLB and I love Fig Jam. For me, this is actually a MLBB shade since my lips are naturally quite pigmented. When I put this on it shows up as a sheer and lovely deep mocha brown shade with the slightest tinge of red. The creaminess and the moisture it provides is wonderful. Revlon really came through for us lipstick lovers with this product, and I don't need to apply lip balm before I slick on this tube of loveliness. It's so moisturizing and so nice. I love it! To boost up the red in the lipstick, I line my lips and slightly blend with NYX lip liner in Deep Red. The two shades work beautifully together.

I am a little behind on the wagon and just purchased this lip butter and I am in LOVE.
The packaging is very nice for a drug store lip product (the only complaint with the packaging is the caps are hard to pull off but that is better than them not staying on).
The product itself is very lovely. The color pigmentation looks intimidating in the tube (if you don't like dark colors) but it goes on like a lovely berry stain on the lips. The formula is smooth, creamy and just make my lips feel like silk. While I do find myself having to reapply the lip butter through out the day, it feels so wonderful that I rather like slathering more on.
This was the first lip butter I purchased and within a week I went back for 5 more colors. They're lovely and the Fig Jam is perfect for anyone looking for a "i had a berry sucker" stain to the lip.

This review is NOT based on the quality of the Revlon Lip Butter, but rather for the colour Fig Jam.
This colour is quiet vampy, and it is one or probably the only colour that is super super pigmented in the Revlon Lip Butter line!
The RLB line in general is very pigmented, but this colour, is above and beyond pigmented and I love it!
I don't think this colour is for all occasion, it is one of those colour has a time and place for it. I generally think this look a lot better and more appropriate for the cooler months as it would suit with most peoples outfits and complexion during the cooler months. I guess to each of their own, if you can pull this colour off in the warmer months, why not? it such a beautiful colour!
To me this does look like a vampish maroon/brown kind of colour. Just a light swipe across your lips and you get that beautiful stained lips kind of look going on. I would not swipe this colour back and forward on my lips several times because it will look like overkill!

I can't tell you how many lipsticks I toss because they turn pink on me or they're too bright. I am a warm-toned Autumn and my lips aren't full so bright colors aren't flattering. My HG lipstick is a Rouge Baiser I bought in Monoprix in France and is a soft tangerine. (Benefit's Saucy is a close match). I bought Fig Jam on the strength of the positive reviews and it actually works on me! Yes, it looks dark and forbidding in the tube. Rite-Aid has a 40% off sale this week so I tried it. You can't go wrong for $4-5. I've worn nude lipstick before (Revlon's discontinued Renewist line had a nice spice shade) but this doesn't make your lips disappear. Just a hint of warmish brown-red. I'll definitely buy this again.

I agree with the reviewer who said that this Lip Butter is a really close dupe of Wet n' Wild's lipliner 666. So if you liked that, then definitely try this Lip Butter. If you don't know what the heck I'm talking about then I would describe this color as a sheer warm brown-red. It looks absolutely terrifying in the tube - I had read the reviews and gone to the store to check it out and despite being warned about how it looks in the tube I still chickened out the first time and got Peach Parfait and Pink Truffle instead. Those were so boring on me, though, that I exchanged them for Fig Jam and Tutti Frutti instead and am so happy I did! I also think that Fig Jam is similar to MAC's LE Back to Del Rio from a couple of years back.
The texture is not quite as buttery as I'd hoped - I was thinking more along the lines of MAC's Lustres, but these are definitely more waxy than that. But that does give them a little more staying power, so I suppose that's the payoff. A little pricey for a drugstore lipstick and I find the packaging, while cute, to be really annoyingly hard to open, so a lippie off for those things.
Overall a really pretty color and a decent lipstick that I'll probably repurchase.

I really love the formula - this felt great on my lips. The price is nice, especially if you watch for a sale. Unfortunately, this looks awful on me. I was hoping for a sheer version of what it looks like in the tube (which, admittedly, is kind of intimidatingly dark), but on me it somehow morphed into a creamy, bricky orange-pink. I'm still glad I tried it, and I definitely want to get some of the other lip butter colors, but this is a no-go for me. That said, I would emphasize that it is nowhere near as bold once applied (on anyone, seemingly) as it appears in the tube, so don't be put off by its appearance.

I agree with all the rave reviews~I find this to be sheer, comfortable to wear, with decent staying power. I was really, really reluctant to try this shade (I thought it would be waaaaaay too brown), but I am so glad I did. It’s a really nice, sheer reddish-brown. Its just a ‘bit’ too warm for me, so I make it more wearable by wearing a bit of a shimmery red-plum gloss overtop. It makes a great base for the gloss, and I get glossy, tinted lips that last a good 2-3 hrs. This even leaves a bit of a stain as the gloss wears away. I like that there is no smell or taste to this. It isn’t as moisturizing as regular lip balm, but I don’t find it drying, either. The packaging is not the greatest (I find after time the ‘stick’ swivels down crooked into the tube, which is just a little annoying). It like that this is effortless to apply and lasts a decent length of time, and goes with lots of other lip products I already own. This is my go-to lip-look when I’m wearing neutral- or warm-toned makeup shades. This (and ‘Sugar Plum’) are the only shades from the Lip Butters that appealed to me (the others being too bright and/or shimmery). I would definitely repurchase, should I ever have the need.

I hate to be the negative one here, but I didn't care for this color at all - thank goodness for Walgreen's return policy! It came out almost orange-y on me - not at all the brownish purple I was expecting. Oh well. Not every color works for everyone! That said, I do wish there would have been a better way to see or test the color - the downfall of drugstore lipsticks, I suppose. The formula was also only so-so for me - I was expecting something a lot more moisturizing. That kept me from exchanging it for a new color - I just wasn't all that impressed.

Pretty good. I'm dark-skinned - almost hershey bar brown. For me, the Fig Jam shade of brown is a very close match with my natural lip color - so it's a nice finishing product for a natural, but prettied face. It evens the pigmentation to match my top vs bottom lip. No need for liner or a mirror to apply. Perfect texture: shiny - but not glossy, slightly sheer - but pigmented enough to show up. I rarely wear lipstick - I stick to gloss - so this is a great niche product for me. No smell or taste and feels smooth like a light balm. I always wear some sort of balm/moisturizer on my lips, so I don't know if it's drying. It played well with whatever I had on already (nivea balm) - no streaking or fading; didn't settle or emphasize my lines any more than any other product.
I do wish they had textured the bottom of the tube; the cap and tube are perfectly flush, so it's a little hard to open.
As far as a comparison to Clinique's Black Honey, is more brick brown than wine which I like. Comes off more natural and subtle than Black Honey on me.

I would have never picked this up by looking at the tube, the container or the swatch. But someone mentioned it may be a dupe for Black Honey, and even though I am not a huge fan of that either, I thought I would try it. I am NW20 and I never thought I could wear this shade. The swatch look like berry mud on my hand. I remember also reading that this was a great neutral lipstick (it sure is not a nude nor is it a MLBB...it is a nice polished look , but you know you have something on-at least on my NW20 skin). When I first put it on my lips I thought OMG...get it off, get it off. But I waited a minute, stepped back and looked...it was working. It is a bit deeper (less red) but kind of reminds me of MAC's Spice it Up lipstick. A deep berry brown-more brown than berry. The point is, this is one of those lipsticks you will just have to try on. It may really surprise you. If I was still working in an office this would be a great lippie (bit more done serious).

I have about eight of the lip butters but this one has got to be my favorite. I have light skin with yellow undertones and this color just agrees with my skin tone. I was initially afraid of the color because in the tube it's just so dark! I was afraid it would appear into a strange shade of dark purple. It doesn't look like that at all. It turns into a sheer wash of reddish-brown. Others have mentioned that this reminds them of clinique's black honey. Now I've tried black honey and I was very excited because I expected it to give me a natural flush that would make me appear lively. Instead, the color turned into a sheer brownish plum. I don't know, it looked odd on me and it just dried my lips.
This on the other hand is what I expected black honey to be. It's just so pretty. It leans into a reddish hue and it makes your lips juicy and moist. I absolutely love it. The downside is that the amount of product you get is ridiculously little. I recommend buying this on a sale rather than full price.
Also the sheen tends to fade, which I imagine would probably irritate others. I don't mind so much because it leaves a lovely stain behind. Also, although the product is marketed as a lip butter, I wouldn't recommend depending on these as you would to a chapstick or carmex. It's soft and almost jelly-like in texture, but not enough to soothe and heal parched lips.

This is really moisturizing and feels good on my lips. It's sheer and a dead ringer for Clinique's Almost Black Honey lipstick. My only complaint is that I have reapply constantly. I have fair skin with yellow undertones, brown/hazel eyes and medium brown hair. I could see this color working for a lot of different skin tones and hair & eye colorings. continued >>

I was intimidated by Fig Jam at the store - Target had a ton of these compared to the other colors, so perhaps others were scared off by the dark color as well. However, I looked this up on MUA at the store, and took a chance due to the good reviews. I do like it - it sort of reminds me of "Toasted Almond" by CoverGirl, if anyone remembers that one. On me, it turns out to be a good basic brownish red. I find it interesting that everyone who reviewed this has different coloring so maybe it's a universally flattering shade. For reference, I am a medium toned Asian with dark brown hair.
Update: This is turning out to be the color I use the most out of my 6 Lip Butters. RE: comparing this to Black Honey by Clinique - for those who are wondering why the comparison is made, it is because they both look dark and scary in the tube, not that they are identical colors. As noted, Black Honey is more a plumy tone and Fig Jam is more brownish red.
