This is not a sheer shade- its quite opaque
This is a coral-orange red shade (was hoping for a pink /fuchisa red by the name)
As a product its okay but I will be purchasing Dior Addict in Red Carpet instead as I think the colour and texiure will be more like what I'm after.

I bought this at a local wal-mart,and i was surprise, the red color was just like a candied apple it goes well with my pale/fair skin, but the only thing is the packaging is shaped kinda stupid,it was a little hard to open at first, this is a totally repurchase again.

As many have said, this is the color of a candied apple. At first I thought it was a little bit too much orange for my NC 25 skintone but it had definitely grown on me. I can definitely layer this and make the color more opaque and shiny, or just swipe once and press my lips together for a tint of color. Even though it's called lip butter, the product is not moisturizing, it dries out my lips and clings on the dry skin so exfoliate is a must. Also, the round tip of the bullet is terrible for getting a crisp line at the corner of your mouths, especially when the color is pigmented like this.

A great red for my coloring! It's a warm toned orangey red that contrasts nicely with my neutral to warm toned fair skin. I like that this is sheer so it isn't overpoweringly red and can be worn in most situations.

This is a great product. The color is candy apple and it has the perfect product as its base. You want this color a bit sheer, it makes it so much more beautiful. The lipstick is like butter. And you can build on the color, which I love, since it changes as more color is added. Much better pigmentation that the L'oreal Lip Balms
This is also a classic color that I think should be part of every makeup collection.

I really liked this color it looks amazing on my skin tone and contrasts nicely with my black hair :) It's a bit orangey rather than a true red but it worked out fine for me because I have a warm undertone. The only con I have with this product is that it tends to melt really easily

Love the Revlon lip butters, but not this color. It's orange on me. Not coral, bright ugly orange. Fig Jam is much prettier on me.

Love it. Just a nice muted warm red, almost coral. The 1st picture up above (not mine) shows the product really piled on, I think it looks better when you just do one or two coats.

For reference I have fair skin (second to lightest usually), reddish brown hair, brown eyes, pigmented lips (so I usually like the darker lip colors - I like Red Velvet and Fig )...
This color is pretty nice, and I will wear it, but I wouldn't buy it again. I like the Red Velvet and the Cherry Tart for red Lip Butters. They go better with my coloring.
This one - Candy Apple - is a tiny bit too orange for me.

I love this color! I was a bit scared to try out a red, but this one looks very nice. It's on the warm side with orange undertones. I would in fact say it's an orangey red, rather than a true red.

I recently purchased one of Revlon's Lip Butter lipstick in Candy Apple. I heard and read a lot of raves with Revlon's Lip Butter lipstick line so I just had to try it. With not much colors to choose from, I picked out Candy Apple from Target. I really like it! This product, from its packaging to its quality, has really stunned me. The color is bold on my lips and moisturizing.

Quite possibly my favorite red lipstick ever. It's a lovely red shade with orange undertones. I'm light skinned with yellow undertones, and on me this color just makes my skin look brighter. It's a very wearable red, and when blotted down, it leaves a soft red stain that is plain lovely. It's a bit drying when applied constantly which destroys the purpose of being called "lip butter" but the shade is just so pretty that I can ignore the drying part and just apply lip balm when I feel it start to dry. This is the only red lipstick that my bf actually likes and even gives me compliments when I wear it (he finds red lips appalling, he says it reminds him of the Joker)
It's sheer but can be built up to an intense bright red. I highly recommend it.

I am head over heels in love with Revlon lip butters!! These are my current mu faves. Even though I adore Revlon lipsticks, I was reluctant to try these because I thought the colors would be too sheer. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that these little gems are very pigmented! I am a red lipstick junkie and what I like most about Candy Apple is that it pops with red/orange color while at the same time is sheer and glossy. So it really is a lipstick, lip gloss, and lip balm all in one product. This is a bit like Revlon's Superlustrous lipstick in Cha Cha Cherry, but a bit more sheer. I am addicted to lip balms and love that now I can enjoy a lip balm with some pigmented color in it. The packaging is a fun popsicle pastel red and has a see-through top. If you are shy about red, this is the perfect color to enter into the world of red lipsticks. You can apply enough for a hint of color or layer it for an even deeper red. Love it!

I LOVE this red!! Usually I'm not one for bright or bold reds on my lips because I'm very pale but this shade is very wearable!

Normally I don't do red, but I decided to try this color after falling into the hype for these butters. I like it! It is a bright, warm red, but it is very wearable for me. I wore it to work one day, and I got a lot of attention :) Looks good with just eyeliner and lots of mascara! Docked one lippie for the regular price; I think it's a little high for what you get. I would repurchase with a coupon if it was on sale.

Woo Hoo!!! I finally found a red that doesn't look absolutely ridiculous on me! Candy Apple is a warm orange-toned red that is unbelievably flattering to my pale skin & is one of my surprise faves of the 5 shades of lip butter I tried (Red Velvet is the other.) I feel so glamorous & sexy when I wear this shade. Because it's so heavily pigmented, you can apply just a light layer for a sheer pop of color or apply with a heavier hand for a bolder look.

I only wish the formula was more moisturizing, especially considering it's a "lip butter" & supposedly contains all these hydrating ingredients. I expected it to be much more glossy & hydrating than it is. Also, be sure to exfoliate lips before applying, as the formula tends to settle into & gum up any dry skin - NOT an attractive look! Other than that, the color is just beautiful & a great way to try red if you're usually not comfortable wearing bolder/brighter shades.

Bottom Line: Yes, in spite of the less than stellar moisturizing formula, I'd repurchase b/c the color is just that amazing. continued >>

I'm a bright color phobe, and have loved the 'idea' of a red lip, but I've been too self-concious to really wear one. I'm loving candy apple - its so easy to wear! Yes,it red. But not super bright. Would consider getting a back up of this though I don't naturally wear bright colors very often, and I'm hopeful that Revlon makes their lip butter line permanent, as I love their general formula. I find these lip butters, not moisturizing exactly, but definitely not drying, comfortable to wear, and a soft gloss. I agree with those that say these are a dupe to the dior lippies that have now been discontinued.

I don't like the color of this on my lips. In the tube it's a classic red shade but on my lips it comes out more orangey/coral and it just does not look right on my fair skin. I wish it came out as more of a true red. The packaging is pretty though.

I'm about a nc50 or nw45 in MAC. Normally I don't do red lips but they were buy one get one 50% off. I got this and Raspberry Pie and I like this one better. Candy Apple gives me a red tint kind of like lipgloss but it's not too red because I'm dark. It feels a million times better than lipgloss. Since it's winter, my lips are super chapped and dry. I'm constantly putting on balms then lipgloss or lipstick. I like this because it's a one stop shop. Subtle color and moisturized lips. Can't beat it.
Oh, and can I say I wasn't going to get this for almost $8 but but the rave reviews are right.

You know when you want a red mouth, but don't want to commit to anything like lipstick? This is an option.
It's a nice, non-threatening red. Sheer and pretty. Pair with a red pencil for a more defined look and more coverage without commitment. I use it this way and it works.
Definite repurchase!
