This is a powder meant to give some sun protection, though it has no SPF rating. Contains 25% coated zinc oxide and 25% titanium dioxide. The titanium dioxide gives it a slightly chalky texture, so it isn't completely sheer. It is heavy enough that you can feel it on your skin. I would prefer a product that only has the coated zinc oxide as an active. It's fairly comfortable on skin but doesn't spread as easily as I would like, and when I got too much on one part of my face I had a very stubborn white streak there. It also gets into the air as you work with it, which isn't great since you're probably breathing it in. A pressed powder ss might work better.
