It's my current HG foundation for winter. For reference I'm NC20-25 and shade 113 was a great match. It does look a wee bit dark in the tube but once applied, it melts into my skin (aughgh I used such a cliched phrase--"melts into my skin" /facepalm)
Don't expect a heavy coverage but it's everything Chantecaille Future Skin or Chanel's Vit Aqua should have been in terms of texture. If I were to rate my current foundations, it would be Koh Gen Do moisture foundation in 113 > Shu Uemura Face Architect 974> Chanel Vit Aqua B10. continued >>

Really beautiful foundation. I purchased this at Barney's earlier this year after a bad breakout on Nars Sheer Glow. This product is supposed to be all natural and safe for all skin types with some sort of advanced technology that's supposed to make your skin beautiful. For me it's a sheer-med coverage foundation that doesn't necessarily need a setting powder as it looks beautiful on it's own. It's like a my skin but better product that lasts all day. I feel it's worth the investment.

I've used this foundations for the last couple of weeks, and I'm very impressed with it. It is expensive, but a little goes along way. It is very pigmented. Blends beautifully and imperceptibly into the skin. The finish is really special--a glow that isn't shimmery or greasy. I have tried the white pearlescent primer too and like that as well. It controls my oily T-zone. I was worried about this foundation because it does contain oil, and I have oily, very acne-prone skin. I usually avoid oil of any kind in makeup products because they always break me out. I took a chance on this foundation and so far so good.
Cons: Limited color selection. I think that I'm between 013 and 023. They are very close so either actually can work for me but I purchased both and mix them together for a perfect color match. I am about NC25-30 in MAC. KGD just recently began selling at Sephora, which is good news because only Barney's and the KGD website sold it previously. The company website actually has a trial set of a couple small tubes of foundation, primer, and color correctors (also good) that you can order for $30.
I find the quality of KGD very high and am trying skincare and other products as a result.

This foundation was EVERYTHING I hoped. First layer was sheer, natural, looked like skin BUT BETTER. Second layer gave me more coverage, yet my skin still has a radiant glow. It was enough coverage for my minor skin imperfections, although, I added a little more concealer for the dark circles, and a spot concealer for this very dark spot of my previous blemish scar. Unlike the Nars sheer glow, which turns my face into a grease ball within half an hour, KGD stays the same through out the day. My 6 hour check still looked as fresh as I've just did the makeup. I set the foundation with Chantecaille loose powder but the glow is still there. I must say that I'm really impressed. For a $60 foundation, I actually see the justification of where the money goes. Now I'm dying to try out their concealer palette and their loose powder!
