Update- I like Karen's Botanicals Lavender Facial Cream (SPF 15) even better!
Update 2- 2012 This product has been reformulated. They replaced the Titanium dioxide with zinc oxide, which is safer and more effective to protect against UVA. Review below is for old formulation; I will have to give the new one a try...
I have been looking for a basic daily sunscreen to prevent sun damage for some time, thinking I would thank myself in a few decades. Yet I want to avoid chemical products, as well as the ghostly white look, and the irritation or breakouts (so many things can go wrong with the daily use of sunscreen it seems...)
Anyways, this is a good option. It feels nice and light on the skin (I still need my moisturizer but I have very dry skin). My sensitive skin does not react to it. It isn't crazy expensive like some other natural products ($23 for 75 ml). It has a light lavender scent that is quite pleasant, and only a very slight white tint compared to other sunscreens. So if you are careful applying it thin and evenly, then you only look slightly whiter. I put a hint of tinted finishing powder to offset it. That's why it doesn't get 5 stars, because I wish I could find a completely sheer natural sunscreen!
