I love so many of the different colors of Illamasqua's nail polishes, and I can't wait to try many of them! I think this brand's polishes have restored my faith in doing my own nails at home, and I may even still give this polish to a nail salon to put on for me!
I bought Alarm because I am a MAC NC45 and a Bobbi Brown Warm Almond, and against my skintone true red nails (and true red is one of my favorite colors) look too cheap against me sadly. :( So I thought I'd try an orange-based red like Alarm on my nails instead, and it works!
I've gotten a few compliments about my nails from even the most judgemental and critical of people (my Mom)! Alarm pops out against my skin in the best way possible and I love it. Very retro-glam.
Illamasqua's polishes though are supposed to be very long-wearing and I have to say that even after about 3 days the nails on my left hand look impeccable but on my dominant hand, my right hand, the polish is coming off a bit. I used the Illamasqua Basecoat with the Alarm too, so I don't know about its wear. Maybe it's more 'in the middle', we'll see...
