I love Illamasqua blushes and have 9 of the regular (matte) line. I was excited to try this blush out because it offered a different finish and because the Illamasqua formula wears so well on me.
I love the actual color of this blush, it is a natural flush on my N10 skin and it has the same lasting power as their matte blushes.
However, the one thing I did not like about this blush is the sparkle... it looks great in the pan and even looks good on the face when you first put it on, but it ends up migrating everywhere :( It is almost like the sparkle is not well integrated into the base color. If you try to blend the color out at all the sparkle disappears from the area you are blending and is left at the outer edge (almost like halo) and flies around to the rest of your face as well.
I ended up returning this blush & will stick to their matte formula from now on.
P.S. I also bought Morale and did not have this problem with that blush, the sparkle in Morale seemed to be integrated really well into the blush powder & I did not have issues with migration.

Amazing blush - the best one I own in fact. I don't mean to take anything away from Nars, Chanel, Dior or Mac (they're all great) but Illamasque is definitely up there in terms of quality and is now my favourite. This wears really well and looks even better after half an hour on the skin. I think it's a dusty/mauvey pink with shimmer (and the shimmer IS noticeable, even glitter-like, but I like that. If you don't like shimmer, maybe try Hussy or any of their other shades as they don't have shimmer). It doesn't look special when you first apply it but boy does it look ever-so-natural and gorgeous after an hour!

I love this color. That's the only reason I got this - it's what I wanted Nars Sin to be. They're similar in the pan, but Sin applies a purply fevery color, and this has some warmth to it so it's actually wearable. It's a gorgeous, glowy deep pink. The texture is a little dry and I'm not a fan of parabens in my makeup but I couldn't find a similar shade in another line. They need to reformulate IMO. I also don't love their tacky packaging. NC35/MMM.

I don't feel compelled to write many reviews but OMG! This product is AMAZING. First, the quality of this is superior to MAC, which I'm a fan of. The color is more on the peach side with a hint of pink and beautiful shimmer. Like the other poster I initially thought "whoa! lots of shimmer!" but it doesnt come up glittery. Its subtle and pretty.

The product goes on easy. Great pigmentation and very buildable. I can easily see this is as my HG blush. Will have to test it out tomorrow in the day time to see sure!

WOW – firstly can I say that Illamasqua blushes are my favourite blushes at the moment and have been for some time! I was super excited when I heard about the release of this one – its Illamasqua’s FIRST shimmer blush! All of their other blushes up until now have been matte or cream.

Ambition is limited edition so get down to Illamasqua or order it online to avoid missing out! In the UK this costs £16.50 and you get 4.5g of product. This is really reasonable for the price. When I compare to MAC blushes, Illamasqua have much better pigmentation and they last much longer on my skin than the MAC ones (I have to always re-apply MAC). You also get more product for your money when compared to the Mineralize blushes as they are only about 3.2g or so)

The reason I love the Illamasqua blushes so much is that they offer great pigmentation, they are easy to blend and they last all day long. You only need a tiny bit for a blush of colour and Ambition is no different in this regard.

Please note the blush shows up on the Illamasqua site as a completely different colour to how it is in real life, its very misleading and I don’t think it looks nice on the site…and so its best to check it out in person really! Ambition is described as a “neutral shade with a shimmer finish” and I would have to say that I don’t think its all that neutral, however – I can see it suiting a wide variety of complexions. To me this is a dusty muted pink, with gold shimmer (dare I say it, glitter even?!). It is pinker and less peachy than NARS Orgasm blush.

The shimmer looks OTT in the pan and I was immediately worried it would be too much, like NARS Orgasm blush which is a pretty shade but the glitter is too much for me.

I can happily report that, once Ambition is applied the shimmer melts in the skin and isn’t too much at all, so for those who may be worried about this, do check it out on your skin at the counter and don’t write it off before you have tried it out! I have to admit that I would give this 10 out of 10 is it had tiny bit less shimmer in it than it does, but I have a lot of love for this blusher nonetheless!

This blush can be worn during the day, but I think its more suited to a night-time look given the shimmer. I have worn this to the office and no one laughed me out of the building or taunted me for my disco cheeks so I think you can get away with it during the day!!

Snap it up now its lovely…and it will last you a long time as a little goes a long way with all Illamasqua blushes!
