Not sure what took them so long, but RMK didn't upgrade their facial sunblock to SPF 43 until this year while other Japanese companies have launched SPF 50 sunblocks years before. This is a good sunblock that feels and applies like a gentle lotion, and neither dries you out nor breaks you out. The sunscreen smell is kept to an absolute minimum, and is only perceptible in the first five seconds of the application. I also think it mattefies, though I am not crazy about that because my normal-to-dry skin could benefit from some dewiness; but people who resent the oily appearance sunblocks tend to give will appreciate this. It definitely works well, but I am resisting the five-lipping rating because it is a little plain, both in terms of looks and function. It doesn't feel as multi-purpose compared to my favorite sunblock at the moment, Givenchy, which is tinted in purple and helps with complexion correction.
