i love this balm and clinique's lipstick. My lip is super sensitive and easy to get allergic. i have tried many lip treatments before and those make my lips get allergic. unlike others, it doesn't ruin my lip. this is my HG.

This is a pricey little lipbalm! That said, for someone who rarely had chapped lips and just wanted a conditioning lip treatment to slather on at night, this was perfection. Now I am on some medication for my acne, my lips are crazy super dry, and this just doesn't do the trick. But if you don't notice anything particularly bad about your lips and just want a nice treatment, this is lovely. It feels like it sort of sits on top of the lips at night, and I found it was still slightly there in the morning. It takes some getting used to using at night as it is pretty sticky. It is also wonderfully glossy so some days I put it over the top of any colour that needs a bit more moisture.

Like another reviewer, I find that these can turn to the most foul smelling lip balms ever. Even though it sits in a drawer next to my bed, and it's way too little product for it to be past it's use-by date, oh boy can it smell. I have found the same thing with clinique coloured superbalms as well. With this one, I was reluctant to throw it out, so I squeezed out a good long line of lip gloss onto a makeup wipe, and then wiped the top as well. That seemed to get me through the worst of it. I know a friend of mine has previously called clinique and they seemed to be aware of the problem. I already have a back up of this, but I don't know if I'd buy clinique superbalms just because of the awful garbage smell that it can turn to.

So on that note, it's a good lip balm if you don't have really chapped sore lips!

The main ingredient is petrolatum (Vaseline), so this seems very over-priced.

I love this lip gloss! It is a simple lip treatment that I have used for years to keep my lips in shape. It is clear, not too glossy, and it is very moisturizing. No matter how dry my lips get, I can apply this, and a little later my lips look fresh and soft again.

I got this when aquaphor, my old HG lip balm started giving me gross lip breakouts. I was looking for something similar without lanolin or lanolin alcohol both of which my skin seems to hate. This is a decent lip balm, it is thicker and stickier and doesn't moisturize quite as well as aquaphor but it does help with very chapped lips. It seems better as an occlusive layer than a moisturizer so sometimes at night I rub Cerave cream on my lips and seal it with superbalm. It is also very shiny for a balm and a little goes a long way. My main complaint is the tiny tube. For $14 I expect more than 0.25 oz. It looks like it belongs in one of Cliniques's bonus packages. I got the black honey tinted superbalm a few weeks after I tried this one and I was surprised that its twice as big and for only $1 more! It also seems a little more moisturizing than the plain one. I will repurchase but I'll stick with the tinted gloss versions

THE BEST LIP TREATMENT. Put it on before you fall asleep, wake-up with perfectly moist lips.

I bought this balm after getting a sample of Clinique's superbalm gloss; I figured if the gloss is so moisturizing, then the lip treatment must be awesome. It is awesome. I use it as night treatment and put some on in the morning before lipstick or gloss. Like many other lip balms, I can tell that there must be some drying effects because I *need* to use this everyday. Nonetheless, if lips are really dry, this can help with exfoliating the flakes, by rubbing them off while wearing this balm. Overall, I would buy this again, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are more effective balms out there; in the meantime this meets my needs.

Superbalm is a think gel type lipbalm, I won't said it is too sticky.

I love this lipbalm, it is very moisturizing. I always use this at night before I sleep then get a very soft lips the next day, works really really well but for the price it is a bit too expensive for such amount.(7ml)
When comparing the price, better get the tinted version of these, as they have 15ml product and the texture are the same with the clear ones.

I did repurchase this lipbalm for a about 2-3 times, didn't experience any breakout like other reviewers said.

EDIT: I discover the MAC lip conditioner in tube and give it a try,I feel that is lighter but still moisturizing with MAC vanilla scented.
I would said Superbalm are still my winter favourite. <3 continued >>

Love! Does exactly what it is supposed to. I put this on at night when my lips are feeling damaged and by morning, voila! Perfect! I also sometimes put on a tiny bit when I start getting ready if I'm going to wear lipstick and it fills creases and plumps them up. It is super sticky which is a little annoying but I don't care when I'm asleep. Just kiss your honey goodnight before putting it on. :)
