So, I must confess that I've only used this to curl with so far, but I really like it. I've been so happy (and so has my wallet) with the Garnier moroccan oil and this for protection. Overall I'm trying to back off on my heat use, so a light spray of this helps protect my hair. Plus, my hair that usually won't hold a curl for the life of me, has been holding curls really, really well. Very happy with this - works great on my hair.

Smells amazing but like some other reviewers said, it smells like its extremely alcohol based, it sprays a lot which leaves your hair wet so when you flat iron you see the smoke coming off your hair, left my hair dry and sticky and didnt do anything to smooth out my hair or keep it straight for anywhere near 48 hours. I will only finish the bottl
This was an okay product. It smelled great and was cheap but was not an exceptional product. I am on a budget and typically don't spend much on hair products and this was satisfactory, so will probably repurchase.
I have used this entire bottle, and I probably won't repurchase it. Not because I hated it, but because it didn't wow me too much either, it was just kind of "meh". I have used a couple of other heat protectants and I felt that some of them protected my hair better than this one did. This spray just seemed to me to be very alcohol based, with not much of a barrier between the heat and the tools. For the function of "flat iron perfector" I feel the same way "meh". It kind of smoothed out my hair, but not so much that I saw a huge difference. If there was not a heat protector in it I most likely wouldn't have finished the bottle.
I am working to grow my hair out, so taking the best care possible- I try to always use heat protectant when straightening hair.
I usually use the Silk brand , however I ran out and the grocery store doesn't carry it so I figured I'd try Garnier.
I've never had hair so DRY. My ends are disgusting and the bottle sprays too much at once so your hair feels wet.
I Absolutely would not recommend this product to any one who cares about their hair. I'd rather pay an extra $5 for my Silk products at Sally!
This made my hair feel really STICKY and i dont think it protected it at all while straightening..it made my hair feel worse.

This product is AMAZING ! I was originaly using Got2B Guardian Angel , But I was at my friends and saw that she had this, I sprayed it on my hair and then straightened it, My hair was silky, shiny, and soo soft! I fell in love with this! It is cheap too !
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: I have medium-brown hair that falls past my shoulders. The roots tend to be oily while the ends are rather dry and have a tendency to split. I blow-dry and straighten it nearly everyday. When left to air-dry, my hair as a tiny bit of wave to it - just enough that it can't be called naturally straight. It's on the fine side, but I have a lot of it. I use a clarifying shampoo and mask on it once a week. In spite of split ends, my hair actually is in really good condition considering its length. I bought this mostly to just make my hair a little sleeker.
PACKAGING/AVAILABILITY: The packaging is typical Garnier. Pretty straight forward. Just a plain green bottle with a spray nozzle. The spray is ejected as a fine mist, which I like. I believe I spent around $5 USD for this at Target. I've also seen it at Wal-Mart and Walgreens. It's pretty easy to find.
PERFORMANCE: Yikes. This is where everything went downhill. I first noticed the smell, which was very overwhelming, even for a Garnier product. It truly reeks of alcohol (though that isn't exactly surprising, given the first ingredient is alcohol denat.). However, it still has the usual fruity Garnier smell. I expect they tried to mask the alcohol stench with a more pleasant fruity smell, but mixed together the combined effect isn't so great. Fortunately, this product didn't cause any additional build up or greasiness. But it also didn't do what it advertised. It had no straightening effect on my hair whatsoever. Especially not for 48 hours (that claim is ridiculous anyway)! I already use the Tresemme heat tamer spray for blow-drying. I can honestly use that before flat ironing as well and get the same results as if I had used the Garnier spray. And that's exactly what I've done since I ran out of the Garnier.
SUMMARY: This did nothing. My hair's as straight as it usually is back when I used the Tresemme. I've gone back to my trusty Tresemme and I'm happier with that. The only thing that saved this from getting just 1 lippy was the fact that it contains heat protection.
REBUY?: Nope. My Tresemme, which I always have on the shelf, does more for my hair.

Just your basic spritzing pre-heat protectant. It isn't very expensive and the bottle with last you a long time. Overall the product is pretty average. My hair looks straight and sleek when I use this (but I bought it specifically for the heat protectent properties, which I can't give an honest review about seeing as how I don't use this product religously). It doesn't last 48 hours as claimed on the label, especially with humidity and hairs natural oils. I would say give it a shot. Has a clean shampoo-type smell.
** Someone below wrote that it seems to burn her hair. You are only meant to mist hair. Your hair will only steam and burn if it is over saturated with (any) product. Or if it is wet.
