I wanted a grayish purple np and ordered this one through Zoya when they had their two free polishes promo. I'm disappointed; I found the polish to be streaky after two coats and after a day of wearing it I feel like I'm wearing the color of clay/mud. It's very "dull." I did put a coat of silver shatter over it and like it a little better. The application, however, was nice and smooth.

I have a lot of Zoya polishes. There is something special about Zoya, besides that they are "healthier" than other polish brands. They have a chicness and fun sophistication to them. Petra deserves a review for some reason, even though I love many others. The color is dark, but softer than other dark almost black colors. It has a nice dark grey, purple, blue hue to it. Most swatches online are accurate, but in person they are just so flattering and eye catching even though it so simple. It goes on very sheer for the first coat, and then very opaque but creamy for the second. The only problem, which goes for most dark colors, is that you can see residue or "fingerprints" on them which messes with the shine, but that is easily wiped or washed off. Beautiful for fall and winter, but I am wearing it now and it is a nice transition color from summer in my opinion. The wear is nice, pretty typical of most Zoya polishes, which for me is 5-7 days with minimal chipping.

Zoya Petra is a part of the Fall 2011 collection. For those of you who missed our on Essie's very popular Smokin Hot polish, check this one out! This is a very close dupe in my opinion. This color is lovely for fall, or any time of year. It is a smokey plum with definitely more blue than red undertones. I am a big fan of vampy, rich colors, and this one does not let me down. Also, I had noticed that with some of my other Zoya polishes that they seemed to wear quickly at the tips. I did not find that to be the case with this polish - perhaps Zoya has re-vamped their formula? At any rate - I'm a big fan of this polish and I believe it would work well on many skin tones and color schemes for outfits - it almost just like a nice deep neutral that can be easily paired with your ensemble.
