This is a very dry, opaque, metallic lipstick. I guess it's supposed to look like foiled pigment on the lips, and it does. I feel bad taking a star off because it says foiled right in the name, and I think it's unreasonable to buy one clearly described thing and expect something else, but honestly, the lipstick is a little uncomfortable.
Colorwise, it's very pretty. I am very very pale with pink-toned skin and dark pigmented lips. This covers up the color in my lips, and the effect that of a medium-light rosy nude. It's pretty, but again, the texture is kind of hard to work with. By itself, I feel like it needs to be used in a very dramatic look. Fortunately this is a near-perfect color match to Tarte's Lipsurgence in Glitzy, which is sheer and glossy. Layering them together gets me something close to a "normal" metallic lipstick, and I'm a big fan of wearing the two together.

This metallic shade is matte (needs gloss over it), very dry, and highly pigmented. I'm NC30 and this color tuned out very natural and beige on me. The only difference between this and a standard natural shade lipstick is that this one has a metallic finish. If you have my skin tone and you want a natural look, this color is good (but wear a gloss over it). Perhaps it would appear more pigmented and pinkish on a paler skin tone.
