This product works super great to mend split ends. I saw results within the first week I started using it. I first apply it to my ends, then to the rest of my hair. I have tons and tons of little fly-a-ways and super thin hair that breaks easily, and I've noticed that my fly-a-ways lay down much better and my hair isn't as frizzy as it usually is.
This didn't dry my hair out or cause any further damage, but there are two things that I don't like about it. First, you can't stop using it once you start. I was home for a week and didn't bring my bottle with me and after only two or three days of not using it my hair went back to how it was before - split, frizzy ends, frizz all over. Second thing, the twist top is confusing. Unless I got one that was put on backwards, the twist part works opposite of what you would think. That really isn't that big of a deal, it just sucks when I'm in a hurry.
I didn't get the pro-mend shampoo and conditioner, so I can't say if using those would help with the reversal of the product after discontinuing use or not. Overall I do really like this product, it's the most inexpensive product for split ends (aside from cutting) that actually works, and I'll keep using it.

For me, this has worked to make my dry ends less dry and has bound back my split ends. I have very fine, long hair. I wash and condition with the Nexxus Pro-Mend line, and use a nickel-size amount of the leave-in product (not a full pump!). I then apply it to only the ends of my still-pretty-wet hair. It doesn't leave my hair tacky or sticky, and has calmed some of my summer frizz. The only thing that works better IME is coconut oil, but this is much more convenient (no mess, no greasy hair, no strange grandma smell).

I had split ends, used this, and still had split ends. So, bottom line, this product did not work as advertised.

It claims to repair split ends, but I haven't seen repair. It does seem to nourish and smooth my hair a bit though, but only if I use a small amount, and I can only tell the difference once I have completely dried my hair with a hair dryer. If I let it dry on its own it feels tacky, as other reviewers have mentioned. However, 4 stars because it smells absolutely phenomenal.

I have very fine hair, but a lot of it. Since my hair grows quickly and is fairly long (to my chest), I get my share of split ends. I bought this while CVS was having a deal on Nexxus products, and I am not pleased. I used a single pump and left it in my hair overnight..and my hair throughout the following day felt...plastic-y? It was extremely dry, and I didn't notice any difference in my split ends. I used it for a week, and I think this is going back to CVS..it makes my hair feel like straw.

Really works!!!!! I love the science behind it too! The negative and positive charges isn't a gimmick!

Not a fan of this. I have very fine hair and this weighed it down dramatically, and really seemed to make no difference to my split ends. I think a good serum is a better solution than this heavy cream!

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE 9/16/11 - I know i know i know. I only wrote this review a week ago. But I've now been using this product for about a month and my hair has started to reject it! My hair is so dry; more so than it's ever been! I'm pretty sure my ends are mad at me for putting them through this so I had to stop cold turkey and start an instant rehab! I can't keep this glowing review up without a disclaimer and rating update. Like I mentioned, it does improve the appearance of split ends BUT I will never use it again. I feel like my hair took a turn for the worst the minute I posted this review :( Maybe it's just my hair. I'm keeping the original review for reference.

ORIGINAL REVIEW - I've had this product on my iPhone notepad (who else fills their phone note application with beauty "to-buys"???) for months! I read it in a magazine and was very interested in the idea. This is what it does: it works as a "glue" to your split ends. It seals your split ends down until the next time you wash it off. This is what it doesn't do: get rid of your split ends permanently.

You have to think of it as a foundation/concealer to your hair: instant, all-day results. I haven't used it long enough to see the long-term results, but for what it is, it's great! I was pleasantly surprised to look down at my ends throughout the day and see them mended .. as opposed to looking down at my hair and grabbing my scissors to snip 1/8 in pieces of hair! I have straight, long hair. For not using heat products daily or color treatment (haven't dyed my hair for 3 years and going strong!), I have significant split ends. This is probably because I put my hair up in a bun at work almost daily (bad bad!). I cut my hair every 10-12 weeks to keep the length (about 14 inches) but those split ends seem to stand out on my dark hair.. grrr..

This has been a great addition to my hair care ritual!! Like someone mentioned below, it also dries my hair (1 lippie off!!!). I definitely cannot just put this in my hair alone. I tried the first day and woke up to dry ends. But then again, if I don't put any kind of oil in my hair at night, I wake up with dry ends too. I already use Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Treatment nightly so I make sure not to skip it anymore. Because this is a great way to conceal split ends, it is worth any extra step to me.

If you UNDERSTAND what this products does (think: concealer), then you will be satisfied. I'm excited to see if this will "tame" my split ends in the long run. The price is reasonable; I bought it for $8.66 at Wal-Mart. I definitely recommend it to you stubborn girls who are on a lifetime mission of "growing out your hair" and won't run to the salon when you see a split end :) Just get this as maintenance until your next visit! Definitely buying this again. As one reviewer noted, it leaves a "tacky" feeling in your hair. That was the case for me initially, but then I started using slightly less of the product and did a better job of distributing it more evenly and it was no longer a problem. Even when my hair did feel "tacky", after I straightened my hair, that was no longer an issue.
Ever since I started using this product in conjunction with John Freida Full Repair serum, my hair has become so soft and healthy. My stylist noted that I didn't have very many split ends the last time I got my haircut. Another perk: it smells amazing. I always catch myself smelling my hair after using it.

Amazing...it really works. I have tried entire line and love it. Highly recommend this...its the only thing I will use now.

I tried a sample size of this product and I have mixed feelings about it. It left a tacky feeling on my hair, but my finger waves stayed put with rather impressive holding power. The ads indicate the products are essentially supposed to glue your ends back together, and I'm thinking it works the way it's meant to, because my hair holds a style much more easily with these products, but, in the case of the treatment especially, I don't care for the glommy way it makes my hair feel to the touch. I like the shampoo and conditioner, but I think I'm going to be giving the leave in treatment a pass.

I was very disappointed in Nexxus as their conditioners work very well, but this product was a no-go. The instructions say to use this after your done washing your hair and your hair is damp. When i let my hair air dry, it felt soft, smelled good and was easy to comb through. However, the next morning i woke up, my hair was extremely dry, tangled and still full of split ends. I am still convinced that the only way to get rid of split ends is to just cut your hair. This also smells exactly like Bath & Body Work's Secret Wonderland lotion. I have been using this product for about 2-3 weeks and it didn't "bind" 92% my split ends. two words :false advertising
