This is one of my all-time favorite eyeshadows but for a completely different reason than I had originally purchased it. I am a taupaholic so I'm always drawn to these types of shades. I saw the swatch on Temptalia, so I knew I had to try it. I swatched it at the EL counter and loved how it looked. However, once I got home and used it on my eyes I was very disappointed with the pigmentation. I didn't want to return it yet, so I tried it a few different ways and have found my favorite shadow for blending out my crease. 90% of the time, I use a taupe shadow (or a cool toned dark shadow) in my crease. This is the perfect shadow to blend just above the crease. It does have a sheen to it, but it's not overpowering and it really looks lovely. I'm not a fan of shadows like Soft Brown, which I find to be a bit too warm toned for me so this one is perfect. If you've tried this shadow and were disappointed by the pigmentation once on the eyelid, try it as a blending shade. Yes, it's a bit pricey to be using it to blend other shadows, but I hate trying to use other eyeshadows for the job now that I know how amazing this one is. I will definitely repurchase!
OMG this is my favorite shade from the Deluxe Eyeshadow palette!!! It is a shimmery eyeshadow that is somewhere between TAUPE/grey/brown. It isn't sort of taupe that is extremely pigmented but there is enough color and shine to define your eyes. When I am in a hurry, I just put this over my eyelids and apply an eyeliner. The color doesn't look cheap or common and it just its just suh a perfect shade. This is the only color(of the 18 in this palette)that I will repurchase as a single or duo from Estee Lauder because it is trully worth its price.
ps. I have pale Asian skin and black eyes with huge double eyelids.

Temptalia has mentioned this as a close dupe for UD Verve. Not ready to make the $32 purchase of Rollergirl palette yet, I swapped for an EL palette that included this shade. In the pan, it is a close match and a beautiful shade with minimal shimmer. However, pigmentation was lacking and even with primer...it looked nonexistant on my lids. The single for this shade is around $20 plus S&H so I will never know if that has better quality than the palette version. I would rather spend a bit more and have Rollergirl. continued >>
