Age: 19-24 Skin: Sensitive, Fair, Cool Hair: Brunette, Curly, Medium Eyes: Green

My history: I am 22 years old, with sensitive, clog-prone skin that gets oily yet is prone to dehydration. I look for sunscreens that are all physical with non-comedogenic ingredients and are gentle on sensitive skin. I do not experiment a lot with sunscreens since I don't wear them everyday and I just need one for occasional summer usage. I have tried Vanicream SPF 30 but it was too greasy. I have also tried Elta MD SPF 41 (the tinted one) and it was too dark and too drying. Also, Elta MD SPF 46 Clear (the one with niacinamide) and I got redness and irritation from the niacinamide. Also a few clogged pores.
This product: I agree with almost everything that the below poster has stated. "Although they call it a gel (and it's not an emulsion), it has a very fluffy mousse-like texture. It's easy to spread at first, but dries very quickly, so I recommend using a small glob at a time for one part of your face." Definitely all true. I also recommend using moisturizer underneath to prevent excessive drying, although I don't really have flakes on my skin so I can not attest to whether or not this sunscreen would illuminate them.
I really like this product for occasional usage. It's texture is amazing and it leaves a matte finish for me for most of the day. Normally, I would have to blot at least once or twice. With this SS, I don't have to blot until evening where shine begins to come through. Regarding the white cast, I definitely do see one but not enough to bother me. I am NW15 on my face and my body is about NW10 so you can't really notice it on me. I am really white to begin with. If you are darker skinned, I can definitely see the cast being a problem!
You NEED an oil cleanser to get this off. This is the most tenacious sunscreen I've ever used. I use Clinique TTDOB and it works great to remove it.
This definitely isn't a HG of sunscreen, but for me, for now, it's perfect. I would recommend it for PPP who are looking for a great-textured, non-greasy, waterproof sunscreen.
EDIT (9/20/11)- I think this may be HG material. I have stopped my SS search for now and am very satisfied with this. I did not get burned with this all summer, and if I did get burned it was because I forgot to put this SS on. I love how it does not irritate and does not clog me. Great product that I will continue to use!

Me: 24, sensitive combo/oily.

My experience: Although they call it a gel (and it's not an emulsion), it has a very fluffy mousse-like texture. It's easy to spread at first, but dries very quickly, so I recommend using a small glob at a time for one part of your face. Because it is a silicone-based formula, applying a decent moisturizer underneath is a good idea, to prevent any flakes from being illuminated in stark white.

However, a good moisturizer was not enough to save this from making my face look quite white. I'm disappointed, because I'd been hearing rave reviews about this sunscreen from many other people. It's simply too ghostly for me to wear every day. It's a shame, because the texture is wonderful. It's not greasy at all, and it leaves a nice powdery-matte feeling on the skin. A drop of foundation might fix this, and perhaps I will try it eventually, but otherwise the massive sample pack they (very generously - excellent customer service!) sent me is going in my ever-growing discarded sunscreen pile. continued >>
