I've tried to give this eye shadow so many chances! I've used it wet and dry, with natural and synthetic brushes, with large fluffy brushes and small compact smoky liner brushes and it simply does not deliver! Big shame as the colour looks lovely and would love to do a smokey eye with this on top of Artifact Paint pot by Mac. It's a deep berry pink/red and completely matte which is one of the reasons why I bought the Illamasqua eyeshadows as I love matte eyeshadows and can't find enough of them out there. Trying to capture some of that lovely colour in the pan has been impossible - it just imparts a very slight washed out berry colour when applying with any eye brush and despite attempts to build it up does not develop beyond a flimsy berry pink. After using Urban Decay and MAC matte eyeshadows (which I compare to as both around the same price range as Illamasqua) I expect a lot more! The flimsy pink is probably ok for a blush colour which is what I use it for now but other than that, I'm extremely disappointed by this eyeshadow. I just hope the other ones I've purchased aren't as bad as I really love the marketing and message of this brand and the sales people are simply lovely!
