Bad in almost every department.
First the packaging - it's a squeeze tube that's quite soft. Every time I would squeeze the tube (and I was gentle) too much would come out and gunk up the brush end. I put this in my cosmetics case and somehow while my bag sat there on a shelf at work - it leaked all over my bag.
Second - it's very thin and water-y, and not buildable. Coverage is medium. When I applied one layer to my under eye circles it didn't cover much and the shade was too light (even though I got light-medium) so it made the area look worse and gave me the dreaded reverse dark circles. Applying a second layer just led to the first layer being pretty much rubbed off completely and I patted it in. My circles are not super dark and although this covered them it was not in a good way.
I wouldn't recommend this concealer to anyone just because of the packaging alone - messy, gets dirty fast and isn't convenient to travel with at all. I don't see the point of using this when any foundation would work better to cover up imperfections.
I thought that the Light/Medium color would be ok for my NC15 skin (I usually get the palest concealer available and end up regretting it as it gives me reverse raccoon eyes), but actually it is quite orange when applied in a thicker layer.
The packaging is annoying as the tube has to be squeezed in order to make the product flow through the brush. But the concealer flows too fast if you squeeze the tube too hard meaning that way too much product comes out.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a really bad concealer. If the color was lighter (and the packaging better) then I would probably like this a whole lot more. The texture is fairly sheer (it won't cover really dark circles at all, it barely covers the darkness at the corners of my eyes) and it blends easily.
I won't buy this again though. There are so many great concealers out there that this one is just average.
I love this concealer. It doesn't crease into my fine lines and does not irritate my eyes. I don't care for the brush, so a squeeze a little bit onto my ring finger and dab on. Gives enough coverage for my undereye circles.
So-so undereye concealer but does an ok job brightening the undereye area. I was hoping t would be good as soething else so I Tried using it as a face highlighter (forehead, cheeks, nose, chin, brows) and lo and behold! It broke me out in all those areas except my chin. Im talking clusters of red pimples around my brows and tzone. I think there are far more options than this little thing. Very disappointed as i thought almay was a skin friendly brand.
I had heard that this was a good product so I gave it a try.... not the case! First of all the packaging is relatively messy, second you need multiple coats to conceal dark circles at all, and third I barely lasts a few hours let alone a whole day! I was pretty disappointed by this product so I will not be repurchasing!
Why the heck did I decide to give this a try? First - the packaging is horrible and messy. It does not have great coverage. Seems to dry out quickly.. I am fair and the lightest shade did not look good. I used it about 3 times and that is it. (tried something else and then never touched it again) Might as well throw it away not it has been sitting for so long...It was around $7 if I remember. Trust me ladies - you can find something better. Don't let the clever name fool you like it did me :)
i heard this concealer was great, i picked it up at shoppers it was relatively cheap. I thought it worked great for coverage and was great at diminishing dark circles, but after a while it would wear off, or sink into lines and flake off. I found it also didn't blend well, i don't like the applicator or the bottle and find after using it for a while that you can't get what's left of the product inside the applicator out so you get to use 3/4 of what you paid for. I would not purchase this again.
This product is OK. It brightens up your eye, doesn't crease, and is easy to blend in.
But.....It doesnt last very long, doesnt give very good coverage, and the packaging is soo annoyiing! Unless you have very very minor under eye concealers, I wouldn't reccomend this.
This is really great under eye concealer. A lot of people haven't liked it and I think that's mostly because of the packaging. It has a brush at then for application and you have to squeeze the bottle to get it on the brush which makes a mess and gets makes the brush clumpy. However, the product itself is really great. It does what it says - gets rid of puffiness and conceals dark circles. You won't see any darkness or puffiness for a long time. The product lasts all day and it's pretty cheap. I really like it and would definitely buy it again. Great for brightening up eye area.
*added later* I recently found a WAY better concealer - L'Oreal Touche Magique Anti-Fatigue and Illuminating concealer. No comparison between these two. The Almay concealer is still great but if you can go for something pricier I HIGHLY recommend the L'Oreal one. *added later*
I'm 40 this year and seemingly overnight I noticed my regular concealers were settling into fine lines. Been really struggling to find a cure (new concealer? start using primer? new setting powder?). I had a gift cert to sephora and on all your reccs here - bought Benefit Boing Boing - its NOT working for me - settling into lines and all. I picked this up at a overstock outlet in midtown manhattan (cosmetic show) - on a whim. It is way outperforming boing boing. Not settling into lines and the color - on yellow side - is a bit brightening, coverage is light - which for me is a plus. i hope they are not discontinuing, but at least I know that Almay may be a good choice for me in future.
