I have the colour # 165, and it is just gorgeous. I love the handy packaging and I have not experienced any problems with it. I usually apply it directly, with no pencil or lipliner. It has a soft creamy consistency, and the colour is highly pigmented and stays on for quite some time. The only reason why it does not get 5 lippies, is that it can dry out the lips a little (very tiny) bit at the end of a long day.

I have to echo Hummingbird's comments in her review - this is a gorgeous lipstick but the packaging sucks! While the idea of a "one-handed" mechanism is clever and somewhat convenient, the fact that the metal outer casing is square means that you will get your lipstick all over the corners unless you are willing to push the product all the way up, thus risking breakage.

Having said that, I've got this in 3 shades - Habit Rouge, L'Heure Bleue and Champs Elysees - and I love all 3. The pigmentation and just the actual shades themselves are perfection. The quality is so good and the lipsticks are creamy and non-drying but for all that they are moisturizing, I really appreciate that they don't bleed or feather, even if I wear them without any lip liner. Pricey as lipsticks go but so worth it for a little bit of indulgence.

First of all, let me say, that i am not really a lipstick girl, i usually find lipsticks too drying, so i do prefer lip balms with color such as the Clinique Chubby sticks...
I always wanted to try a really expensive and luxurious lipstick and was searching for something light and hydrating. I found this lipstick with the unique beautiful packaging, I do not mind it, but it is not the most practical one too say the least.
I am very fair /NW20/ with reddish hair and chose shade 169 which is a perfect nude color for me. I really enjoy using this product and will have a look at some other shades!

This one finally convinced me to stop trying for vain with Chanel and focus on Guerlain instead. I have it in Vega, the gorgeous deep raspberry shade, and I love it. Why?
- goes on evenly
- doesn't dry my lips or make dry skin more prominent
- in fact it seems to be smoothing my lips a little
- feels nice and lightweight
- it has a beautiful satiny finish, not quite matte but definitely not shiny
- the packaging is practical, well-made, classy and kind of superhero fierce all at the same time
My only problem is that it tends to leave a slight line on my lower lip after some time, but nowhere as bad as some other brands.

Just bought this in the shade Chamade. It is a very wearable warm pink for my semi pigmented lips. I love its texture, it is like very pigmented balm but not slippery. Will definitely buy more shades.

Of course i love the packaging. I bought this in Jicky and its a MLBB shade for me. Im not used to lipsticks that aren't super pigmented but i still want a few more of these. I do have to reapply more often than my matte lipsticks but I'm fine with that.

My very first Guerlain lipstick, I have it in Shade #142, an absolutely gorgeous coral color. I went into Bloomingdales to check out YSL but somehow ended up at the Guerlain counter, the saleslady was super nice and I ended up buying this and skipping YSL altogether. I adore this lipstick, even if the price is pretty high (I spent $38 on it, including crazy San francisco sales tax) it is the most long lasting lipstick I have ever owned, stays all day 8 hrs plus, even lasts through eating & drinking. Amazing quality, super classy gorgeous gold packaging, and smells really good too, which is a weird thing to comment on but I loved it. continued >>

Love the lipstick. HATE the packaging. It makes for the most awkward application ever. Who designed this?!

I have this in rouge d'enfer-their strawberry red. I love it! This lipstick kind of stains my lips, so even after the main wear rubs off, I still have some color. Glides on silky smooth and the color is so vivid :)
I love love love this lipstick. Worth the $$$

I have this in two shades that I absolutely love. I'm extremely picky when it comes to scents with cosmetics. This product has a subtle fragrance when applied, which feels like an added indulgence. There is quite a range of colors, and I'm eager to add more to my daily makeup arsenal. This formula is extremely moisturizing and feels velvety soft. (Sometimes I'll just sit there for a moment and rubs my lips together, it feels so nice! A texture unlike I've ever experienced.) The color lasts all day long, which is unusual for me. And, I love the gadget-y way that this product opens. :3 If you're looking to spoil yourself via lipstick, definitely give the Guerlain Rouge Automatique a try.
