These are a great cheaper alternative to the price Enzo Milano and other clipless irons that are typically sold on beautychoice and folica. I'm surprised there aren't any reviews on this product. I bought my first clipess iron off ebay for around $40 (with shipping, seller cyrlygirl) and the second one I found for around $40 at Winners in Canada.
Pros: Heats up super fast, comes with a really good quality thermal glove, the barrel is nice and smooth and creates great curls that last really well.
Cons: The swivel cord could be longer and it gets tangled easily. I like my irons hot, but there's only one 430 degree temperature, which might be hot for some people. My major problem with this iron is the barrel size listed on the box. For example, when I buy a hot tools curling iron that is 1 1/4" I know that the barrel circumference is 1 1/4" inches. Cortex clipless iron sizes are completely off. The iron is available in four sizes 1/2", 1", 1 1/2", and 2". The first one I bought was 1/2" and it's honestly the smallest iron that I own. I own a 1/2" iron from hot tools, and this one is smaller. I was at winners and was lucky enough to be able to see these irons displayed in all of the different available sizes. I'm so glad that was able to see them in person and not buy another one on ebay sight unseen!!! I ended up getting the 2" barrel from winners, and when I measured it when I got home it's only 1 1/4" NOT 2"! I have shoulder length hair and a 2" curling iron would never work on my hair in a million years. When you're ordering online, make sure to order a size up. The 1" is probably 3/4" and the 1 1/2" is around 1". I have no idea why they're marketing the irons as larger then they actually are! They're great irons even if they're a bit smaller than advertised, but I think they should really get their packaging straight!
