I am in love with this! The best high lighting pen ever! Especially if you want to achieve the highlight effect under the eyes this is the best by far! I use bright forecast (peachy colour) to conceal dark areas under the eye then with a sponge I dab on the light boost over it and bring it all the way to the top of my cheek bones. It instantly brightens up my face! Doesn't crease at all! I find its really light weight. I'm an nc30 and on me the light boost really shows up on my face which I like

I like this but it's not a staple for me. I think its round $25 which is pricy for a small pen. I used it to highlight under my eyes, nose, chin, forehead, etc.. and it just looked like I had used a normal lighter concealer. It does make it easy to apply the product but nothing amazing. I also have a L'oreal concealer pen which is very similar to this and around $10 cheaper. When I first got this oil came out and I had to keep twisting it to get to the actual product. It's a nice extra but won't repurchase

I am an NC25, neutral undertones, with no dark circles or acne issues. I just got this b/c I wanted that highly coveted Kim K look, where she's very bright under her eyes. Firstly the packaging is the standard click pen deal, and it's black so it's impossible to know how much you have left. I don't like that part. You twist it rather than click the end to dispense the product. The box it comes in is beautiful - it's glittery and just gorgeous to look at! So of course I had to keep the box (yes, I'm slightly insane). But I digress...the formulation is creamy but not terribly moisturizing. I would recommend using a good moisturizer/eye cream or else you can look cakey and it may settle into your lines. Use a light hand, as a little goes a long way. There is no real shimmer in this product that I can see, but it definitely does a great job of brightening. I find it only works with certain foundations, mainly creamier, thinner ones. It works great with my Face and Body and MUFE HD. However, I have to apply it before my foundation if I use it with UD Naked Skin or MAC's Studio Sculpt, or else it looks cakey and unnatural. I use the MAC 130 brush to apply, and I avoid using the pen's brush on my face. I click some of the stuff out on the back of my hand, and then dab my 130 brush into it and then apply. Once I'm done with it, I wipe the brush with a makeup remover wipe so it doesn't get crusty with build up. The price is not bad, especially with my PRO discount. Today I mixed F&B with MUFE HD and then used this after and house later it looks fab, no cakiness and no settling into lines. I did take a lippie off simply b/c I wish the formula were a little more hydrating. Overall, I like this product. I'll likely buy again.

What I have does not look like a pen, although the rest of the product description/name fits. It has a small brush applicator on the end, and a twist end dispenser.
I use this product to conceal under-eye circles. It provides light to medium coverage. Does not cover very severe dark circles. Using it on top of very bluish skin, turns the color to grey -- you may be able to correct this by mixing an orange tint product into this one (although in my experience, mixing it with a bit of orange lipstick, makes this product more likely to gather and form crumbs -- perhaps a more skillful application is required).
Using this without some moisturizer creme underneath, does make this product crease and look dry on the skin. However, putting it on top of the MAC fast response eye creme, makes it work perfectly from morning to evening.
I tried using this highlighter on other areas of the face as a concealer -- it did not work very well. If the areas are dry, this appeared to dry them even more.
Compared with Yves Saint Lauren Touche Éclat (color 2 - luminous ivory), I liked YSL better. It did not need any moisturizer underneath to stay even and put. Although YSL seemed to provide a little less coverage compared to this one.

This is my first MAC product (yes, that's right). I walked into a local MAC in order to buy a blush and a highlighter (the latter being an item that's missing from my sparse makeup collection). The woman put some Mocha blush on my cheeks and it was great, but it was sold out (which was annoying since she knew before she started that it was out of stock), and then used this highlighter, which I fell in love with instantly. It really brightened my face, which was what I was aiming for. I just got it today, so I haven't used it myself yet (which may impact on how I rate the package more than the product itself). It's also a little pricey for a little pen, but if it continues to make me happy it's worth it. UPDATE: I really do dislike the clicky pen (Clinique makes a gloss with the same type pen and I hate that one, too). You click and click and it seems nothing's coming out and then too much comes out and you waste a bunch. Shame because it's expensive. So I doubt I'll buy again.

This is my first highlighter pen I purchased and I'm loving it. This pen came out in the collecton 'Primed for Perfection' and was a rather small collection. Among the many other collection Mac released, I guess this wasnt as attentiongrabbing as the others. In my local store the collection was hidden in the back, so I really had to go search for it, which is a shame because its really a great product. So the packeging is the typical penstyle you find in others like the famous Ysl one and many other dupes. The one in light boost has a light yellow tone and is perfect for brightning under your eyes, the nosebridge and so on. Its has a rather matte like finsh without glitters or sparkles, which I love for a very natural look. The formala is rather liguid and spreads out easy. Its non drying and I use the 217 brush to spread it evenly out. It has a great staying power without getting patchy or weird. Overall I really love this and luckily this is in the permanent range now.

Mac did a similar type product in earlier collections, called Studio Lights, that I loved. But, they were in an Lipglass type tube with a doe foot applicator. They had more product, 5ml/.17oz, & the price was only $14.50. The colors were also similar, but named differently. I don't have the ingredient list for the Studio Lights, so I can't say that they are the same product. Just a similar product.

I asked for Radiant Rose at the Mac Store (I have used Tender Glow & Ideal Pink from the earlier collections.).
The SA gave me Light Boost (yellow) instead, so I can't compare them exactly but in this case the Light Boost has more coverage than my Ideal Pink.
I like the way the pink shade lightens/brightens my under eye area, but the Light Boost looks really nice in the under eye area, as well. And, it has enough coverage that I didn't use an additional concealer. It was not so light that it gave me raccoon eyes. I used the Light Boost above my brows, down the center of my nose & above & below the centers of my lips to lighten those areas, too.
I'm fairly neutral, NC/NW20 skintone.
I've used the YSL, Dior & Clarins version of this type of products &, to me, Mac & MK makes a superior product.
