I normally don't care for MAC foundations. But, I saw this particular one get good reviews here so decided to try it out. I'm very pleased with the results I get with this powder foundation. Skin type: combination but will lean very oily during the summer months. I really can't use liquids in the summer due to looking like an oil slick by 3pm. Studio Fix + Foundation is amazing for summer. If it is really humid out, I still need to blot when wearing this foundation. However, for the most part, it sticks onto my skin and provides beautiful medium coverage all day long! My summer skin color matches NC40 perfectly! Also, I love how MAC products are all so affordable and have sleek modern packaging. I really love the packaging of this foundation. The plastic compact is very sturdy and provides a vented holder for the sponge on the bottom. Plus, you also get a mirror. The super incredible reason why I love this foundation so much is that *drum roll*.....it doesn't break me out! Something in most powder foundations will break me out but for some reason, I can wear this one w/ no probs. Studio Fix Powder + Foundation is my go-to daily summer time quick and lazy makeup that makes me look great in no time.

Really solid foundation, not amazing but it definitely gets the job done. MAC describes this as a full coverage foundation, but I'd say it's medium at best. I like to apply this with a stippling brush over a regular liquid foundation, then take the mineralize skinfinish over at the end, which takes away the matte effect and leaves a healthy glow.

I broke down, finally, and decided to try MAC foundation. I went to their website and chatted with someone who suggested my color is NW15. I am pasty white with rosacea-fueled redness and it takes a miracle to match my skin tone. I was skeptical that any of the NW15's in any formula looked close, so I ordered a bunch of NC15's as well, and N1 in a liquid. I ordered close to a dozen foundations.
They arrived and I quickly opened them to see which ones had promise; swatching most of them made orange or yellow. Only one had promise right away, that was the Powder + Foundation in NW15 (surprise). Unlike all the other NW15 formulas, it was perfect match.
But it's powder, something I should wear since my face is like waterfowl near the Exxon Valdez. But the Retin-A I wear also makes my skin flaky (even with the Clarisonic) so powder is normally a bad choice. However, this stuff was a perfect match and totally blanked out my face, it was shocking. Not in a Marcel Marceau kind of way but in a porcelain-doll fashion. WOW. I put this on top of Smashbox BB Cream (my usual).
Um, hold on a minute. Fast forward to the end of today; it feels like I have makeup mud on my face, my face is SHINY. I couldn't wait to wash this stuff off. And as the hours have passed, I have red welts and actual active ZITS popping up on my face. One is forming on my nose and it looks like I'm trying to grow a third nostril.
I read the review that said to try Philosophy The Present with this foundation, so I went to Ulta and got some today. Also some UD De-Slick which just made it feel like I had MORE of a mask on and pissed me off even more, especially since the first salesperson was too busy putting on her own makeup DIRECTLY FROM THE TESTERS and it was like pulling teeth getting her to help me track some down. LOL
I'll update if anything else helps this foundation, because right now I wish I had a paper bag like the Unknown Comic.

i just recently bought this like few hours ago. the lady tested nc30 and 35 but since i was looking for a natural everyday look, i got 35. i used the mineral loose powder foundation spf25 and i think its fabulous although it gives me tiny baby pimples on my chin but i use shiseido serum to fight that.
anyways my love for mineralized p/f will not end but i just need something that stays a little longer because tbe mineralized one doesnt :(
i am going to use a brush powder rather than a puff because i dont need much coverage
the price isnt so bad its just $3 more from the mineralized one since it has a mirror and puff
so its been 2hrs since the powder was put on me, i shall update if anything better or worse (hopefuly not) happens

I have super oily/ problematic/ sensitive skin and i was conviced by the sales rep that this would combat the appearance of oil, scars, and redness (full coverage to the max) but yet give me the benefit of having a matte look for hours straight. So i was ecstatic to hear of such a product that had all of the benefits i've been searching for in one product. the rep began to apply this awesome product on one side of my face to prove to me how much of a difference it made compared to the makeup i already had on. As i glanced at myself, i was taken back because my normal side looked so red compared to the studio fix side. Of course i immediately purchased this item. But after wearing this foundation a few times, i noticed the flawless or freshly applied look does not last long unless i wear primer. But other than the issue of wearing this foundation alone or not, this foundation did not cause any skin irritations and that was an A1 for me.

I bought this after reading all the positive reviews on here, but unfortunately it was a disappointment for me. I bought NW15 and the shade was dead on. However, the coverage and finish of this powder was wayyyy too cakey and it transferred really bad. I applied it with a 187 brush and another time I used a kabuki brush. I always apply a primer (Sephora ultra smoothing primer, the clear gel one) to give any foundation something to stick to. It was like no matter what I did, I still just didn't like this foundation/powder. I think I'm going to return it, and go back to my MSF Natural in Light. Sorry MAC, this one sucks.

This is my FAVORITE foundation of all time, and I have tried a lot of high end and expensive foundations. It has amazing coverage (covers all my redness, freckles and dark under eye circles without concealer) and looks just like skin after spraying MAC fix+. I use it with Philosophy's the present (which is the best primer for powder foundation, I highly recommend it) then put on the powder with my MAC 187 and then top it off with MAC fix + and it looks so good. I could never find a color that could match me perfectly, i am extremely pale and most foundations the lightest color is too dark, but NC15 matches me perfect. I am very happy with this foundation and will continue using it.

I have been using this product for almost 15 years already and I had no problems with it. Coverage was great however last year when my skin started to break out-with large pores, oily skin, I think that I needed something that it light-weight and will just use concealer to cover up blemishes. This no longer worked for me, slided off my skin after 4 hours of wearing it, looks cakey even if I used Blot Powder and actually it made it worse when in used with Blot Powder. This is only in my case due to my skin type change. I think I'm beginning to love Studio Perfect Foundation for now. But will look for an alternative still because of the tag price for a refill compact.

So far this is my favourite foundation, the one where I get complimented on my skin when I wear it. I'm very prone to breakouts so I also like the Bare Escensuals line, but that is a bit tricky to apply so on lazy days I use this instead.
My skin has yellow undertones. In summer I use nc30, in winter nc25. It looks natural, so much so even that I don't need to use it on my whole face. I just use it on my nose to counter any redness (in summer from the heat, in winter from the cold...!) and then just on any areas that are a bit blemished. I also put a little under my eyes and then top that with my Clarins Instant Light highlighter pen.
If my skin is dry, though, this can make me look a bit ashen-faced because it's a powder. MAC has a great, natural-looking radiance powder called Mineralize Skinfinish so I lightly dust that all over my face (and of course moisturize well before putting on any makeup) and that makes my skin look not so dead. Of course a bit of blusher also goes a long way to counter any pastiness.
So yeah. I have used their liquid foundations and creamy compacts before but that just ends up looking too 'makeup-y' for my liking and I never finish those. This powder I always go back to. I've used other brands but they all break me out: Clinique, Clarins, even Chanel.

My favorite powder foundation to date, I apply with the 187 and don' use a base. I think that this definitely needs to be applied carefully, it does emphasize dryness because it's a powder, and definetly needs a highlighter overtop because it makes face very flat. This may sound like it's bad but honestly, if you could understand how flawless it can make you look, on camera and in real life, you'd understand what I mean. Its flaws make your work cut out for you, it makes it easier to contour and highlight. Please apply in good lighting, it makes a difference. The 187 is a must with this foundation so you can swirl and stiple to create an airbrushed canvas. Will break you out if you have sensitive skin, I was on retin-A when I started using this and it helped my skin tough up to this foundation.

I wanted to like this foundation so much. But they don't have color that goes with my skin tones. My skin is light but not ultra light and has pink undertones. It's also oily. I tried the N4 but it was too pale and chalky. I looked like a ghost wearing it. So I took it back and tried the N5 but that was way too yellow based. It looked tan on me. MAC has no good foundation colors for pale skin with pink tones. I've gone back to my crappy l"Oreal Color Match which is too oily but has a great match for my skin color. MAC just doesn't have a good selection of makeup bases for women who have fair pink toned skin. Which is super strange to me. Will not buy again.

I'm in love with this product. I have a pretty oily face, I'm on NC 43, I put my sunblock (from ɑ doctor) and put this on at 7am, at the end of the day (around 1pm) it gives my dewy look. Love it. Thankfully it hasn't broken me out, I don't know if that's because it's a good product or that's because of my skincare routine. Only the price ɑ little bit expensive. Still repurchase though.
EDIT:
I'm not that in love anymore. This powder foundation rubbed off. Disgusting. Or I might just need to put a little bit more of product so it work like the first time I tried it. continued >>

I've been using this product for about 10 years, it is my favorite powder. This gives me nice coverage and matches my skin perfectly, not like other foundations that can be too dark. It covers my pores well and leaves a matte finish. I always seem to come back to this whenever I try something new. I just put it over my moisturizer (primer causes brake outs) and it looks amazing. My absolute favorite!

This is my go-to if I'm looking for something quick. You can build it for better coverage of redness, hyper-pigmentation, etc, but it isn't the best for covering blemishes. I found my nose would get a bit oily by mid-day and usually my skin isn't very oily. Other than that, it goes on very nicely, and I'd say for for it if you are looking for light, but buildable coverage in a hurry

I'd buy this if i can't find anything better. But it is a brilliant foundation/powder. believe it or not this thing actually gives me coverage, Love it.

i do like this powder but its a little drying even though i have oily skin. it seems to make the skin on my lower cheeks very dry and then there is acne in that spot the next day. pretty good coverage but i need a little more. pur minerals gave me the best coverage but broke me out in cystic acne very badly so i have this one a shot, for now i will try more liquid foundations for better coverage but i suppose when my skin gets better i will use this because it is quick

I have been using makeup since I was 13 and I believe I've tried almost everything out there, more or less. This is by far the best form of foundation I've ever used. Although it's powder, it gives beautiful, buildable coverage that you can control. I like to use this over a primer and apply with a powder foundation brush. I should mention that I always stray when it comes to makeup, I find it impossible to stick with one thing and am always thinking the grass is greener. Not with this! I cannot get over how amazing this stuff is! NC25 is a perfect match for my med/light cool toned skin. This never breaks me out and leaves me looking flawless but not overly made up. There is another studiofix foundation reviewed on here and I believe some of the reviews are a mix of this product as well as the liquid studiofix because I couldn't understand how this could receive such a low rating. When I came upon this, the actual studiofix powder + foundation I thought that's more like it. I hope they make this stuff forever!

If I want a flawless face, I'll apply primer before the powder, but I've found that using moisturizer is enough for daytime. Doesn't help control shine on my forehead, but nothing oil sheets and additional powder can't fix. I've found that it does irritate my sensitive skin sometimes and white, itchy bumps that later turn red show up (sounds a lot worse than it is) but it hasn't steered me away from this powder too much. I often use this alone and it gives me good coverage but I'll apply it on top of my foundation/BB cream for extra staying powder and additional coverage.

I really like this. I used it like a setting powder over my foundation and occasionally alone. It has an amazing coverage, and last like 6 hours (for my that’s a lot for a powder) The color match is a little tricky online ‘cause I use NC 15 in foundation; but the perfect match for my in these is NC25!!!! So I suggest trying first. A good purchase, even if it’s pricey it would last a lot. Is super practical for touch ups.
