I received a sample from Ulta a few months ago and I recently ran out of my night moisturizer so I've been using it in place of that. Though I really love how it feels when it goes on, I don't like the effect in the morning and I can't imagine wearing this during the day. It is very thick and has a great feeling when applying, but it doesn't absorb well enough for me. I usually love a thick moisturizer, but this is just too greasy. If I put this on at night, in the morning my face and bangs feel greasy. I haven't had that with any other product. I won't purchase the full size because of this, even though I love the rich feel.

I received a sample of this product in the Benefit Top Box. I It is totally moisturizing like... really really moisturizing!!! I love it ! It absorbs into the skin nicely and quickly without leaving a greasy feeling, my face feels soft after I wake up and all day, and my skin look.. I don't know.. pumpled ? I love it! I also love the smell, it smells really nice when you apply it, but without lingering all day and getting annoying! I have a really sensitive skin and I was afraid because of the smell, but it's perfect and actually soothing. I also really love the packaging, as always with Benefit.

My only problem is that the cream is in a jar, so not really hygienic. I would also prefer there was some SPF in the cream. It's also expensive. I will probably repurchase when on sale!

This moisturiser is so amazing! My skin just loves it! My skin has never been this hydrated before, my skin is normally super dry but with this my dry skin is no longer a problem! The only down side is the price, waaay too expensive. Overall i definitely would repurchase this over and over. It's a staple in my skincare routine. <3 continued >>

I have repurchased once and will continue to repurchase. This is a great facial cream for nighttime as this is when I do use it and the reason for the subtraction of the lippie! I would love to use this during the day, but it is a little too moisturizer for day time use and leaves me just a little too shiny. It is great for overnight use and for a day that you are just lounging around at home. Great product and does what it says it will!

I've used this consecutively for the 4 months of winter and from what it claims to do, it does a good job of it. It is totally moisturising but that's where the benefits end. It absorbs into the skin nicely and quickly without leaving a greasy feeling (and this is someone with oily/combination skin), and a thin layer across your face will quench the thirst of your dryness. My face feels soft after I wake up ^_^.

It has a gorgeous sweet scent to it, and quite heavily fragranced so if you are allergic to strong smells I would stray away from this.

For the price, I was hoping it to do more than just moisturise my skin, it should have other properties such as wrinkle improvement, skin firming or some sort. I want more for my buck, which I think Benefit as a brand fails to deliver. Although I do love their products, I always feel like I should be getting more for what I pay, and I'm sure a lot of people are on my bandwagon.

I would recommend this to someone who has seriously dry skin, but if you are looking for a regular night cream with more beneficial properties there are many more on the market that deliver (and with a much lower price tag too!)

Sorry Benefit x

Oh my word, I bought this product very recently after suddenly getting very bad skin problems, my cheeks and forehead were so dry and flaky that I couldn't wear any makeup over it at all, it looked terrible and felt terrible!

I had been previously using Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion but it wasn't helping one bit! So after reading fab reviews of the Total Moisture Facial Cream, I thought what the heck, I may as well try it out, and let me tell you, I was in no way disappointed! The difference in my skin was almost instantaneous! My whole face was glowing after one day of using the product!

And the packaging is so fab, it comes in a very cute, posh box (perfect for a gift!) and although the glass jar is quite unpractical for travelling, I think it makes the product look its worth! Its not very cheap but its definitely worth it and is cheaper than other high end brand names that have not done a thing for me! The only one down point I have is that because it comes in a jar it is easy to over do it which caused me a few breakouts but after I got comfortable with how much to use and cleared up my spots it was all fine! I cannot recommend this product more! Very happy customer!

The first thing I noticed about this cream is that it feels a little... greasy/oily. At first, the cream is a thick white substance, but rub it a bit (bring in warmth) and it will turn into this clear greasy substance. Okay, greasy isn't the best word to use here, but that's the best way I can describe it. I wouldn't say it's a bad greasy. But it's not pleasant either.

If you apply this right after you wash your face, it should sink in very well. Sometimes, using another product before this makes it difficult for this to sink in. In my experience, at least.

I thought this moisturized very well. My skin is oily but dehydrated due to retinoids and I've been looking for a heavy moisturizer to overcompensate at night. This seems to do the trick and it hasn't broken me out.

However, it is pretty greasy and seems to have many potentially clogging ingredients so I'm still undecided.

Benefit's Total Moisture Facial Cream is part of their fairly new B.Right Radiant Skincare line. According to Benefit "this facial cream provides concentrated immediate and long term hydration for a radiantly refreshed complexion. Our exclusive tri-radiance complex helps develop the skin's reserves of water and reinforce the skin's moisture barrier. Contains mango butter, a natural plan based emollient known to provide moisture." Benefit says that this moisturizer is best suited for those with normal to dry skin and claims that 100% of people felt that their skin was "immediately and intensely quenched" during market testing. I got a little 8.9g (.3oz) jar in Benefit's B.Right Radiant Skincare Intro Kit, which sells for $12. I was interested in trying more of Benefit's skincare products after sampling their It's Potent! Eye Cream. The full size 48g (1.7oz) jar of facial cream retails for a super pricey $38. This product, and I think all of Benefit's skincare products, is made in France. Benefit does not test on animals, however this is not a vegan product. Benefit products can be bought through the brand's website, at freestanding Benefit boutiques, Benefit counters in some department stores, Sephora, and Ulta.
The little jar of Benefit's Total Moisture Facial Cream is cute! Its fairly similar to the full size jar. The glass jar has a slight aqua tint to it and is topped off with a beige plastic cap. The lid features the name of the product and the Benefit logo, all written in a dark teal. A small amount of product info can be found on the bottom of the jar. I like the look of this little jar, and I think the little texturized bumps on the side of the jar are an interesting detail that makes this little sample feel a bit more high end. I will say that I don't really like moisturizers and creams in a tub/jar package because I feel like I go through product faster that way. It also isn't very sanitary, but that isn't my main concern. Yinz know me though, I want everything in a squeeze tube.
Benefit's Total Moisture Facial Cream has a lovely texture! This white cream is very dense, but not super thick, I want to describe it as almost balm like. This moisturizer spreads smoothly and evenly over the skin, I apply only the thinnest layer that I can because it is such a rich, emollient cream, it would be so easy to go overboard. Total Moisture is best for use at night because it takes several minutes to completely absorb. Even after it sinks it, Total Moisture leaves my face feeling a little bit greasy. I don't know if greasy is really the correct word or not. I wouldn't say oily or sticky, maybe filmy is a better description? That filmy feeling sticks around for about twenty minutes, but once its gone my skin feels so amazing! Benefit's Total Moisture Facial Cream softens my skin significantly and deeply moisturizes it. I do find that this cream is too much to be used all over my face. I have combo skin and can get quite greasy around my nose. Since I started using this cream, that oiliness has been exacerbated and I've been experiencing some clogged pores and a few small white heads. Not cool. I think I'll stick to using this stuff on the drier sections of my face. I want to also mention, that as a professional cook I experience some small burns on my face. Recently I had burn on the side of my face near my ear that was quite dry and flaky, taking forever to heal. Benefit's Total Moisture Cream really helped it heal quickly and prevented it from flaking.
A downside of this product is that its highly fragranced. Personally it doesn't irritate me, I enjoy the clean, fresh scent, but it definitely isn't necessary for a moisturizer to have such a strong scent. Those with scent sensitivities, or those with sensitive skin that can flare up from overly perfumed products will want to steer clear of not just this product, but all of Benefit's skincare range.
I like Benefit's Total Moisture Facial Cream. The texture is lovely and rich, but not too thick. It truly hydrates and softens my skin, but it is too heavy for me to use all of my face. I think this product would be a life saver for dry complexions, but if you're combo to oily, this could potentially wreck your skin. I wish Total Moisture wasn't so strongly scented. Benefit's skincare range is still fairly new, so maybe they're still trying to find the balance. They've created some really nice products though and I would recommend their Total Moisture Facial Cream if you're looking to invest in a great night or winter time moisturizer for normal to dry skin. I won't repurchase this cream though, its too expensive and not for my skin type. I'll keep the remains of this jar around for future face burns and dry patches.

I first received a sample of this with one of those big Sephora sample gift packs where you get 6 or 7 moisturizers or skin care products to try. I flirt with other moisturizers and creams and always regret it and come back to Total Moisture.

Total Moisture is light and goes on easily. It's not a thick cream but it's not runny or easy to spill, either. It's very moisturizing without being heavy or hard to rub in, and it has light scent that doesn't scream 'flowers! unicorns! girl experience!' but is still enough to make putting it on feel a little bit fancy and special. The texture- and honestly, the results- reminds me of Clarins Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery cream, but BeneFit Total Moisture is a lot cheaper.

I don't love the package of BeneFit products or way the outside of the glass jar feels. I wish it was a little more low-key- but I know people love their fun packaging and it doesn't keep me from buying it over and over.
